Palm kernel cake(PKC),a major by-product of the palm oil industry,is rich in non-starch polysaccharides.In this study,two polysaccharide fractions,precipitated with acetic acid(PPA)and ethanol(PPE),respectively,were e...Palm kernel cake(PKC),a major by-product of the palm oil industry,is rich in non-starch polysaccharides.In this study,two polysaccharide fractions,precipitated with acetic acid(PPA)and ethanol(PPE),respectively,were extracted from PKC using a 2 mol/L NaOH solution.The molecular weight,sugar composition,structural characteristics,morphology,antioxidant activity,as well as in vitro stimulated digestion were investigated in detail.The results revealed that due to its poor solubility of PPA in water,the detected molecular weight of PPA was only 2040 g/mol,which was significantly lower than that of PPE(65,300 g/mol).Although PPA and PPE had a similar sugar composition with varying contents,mannose was the predominant monosaccharide in both,accounting for 87.71%and 60.40%,respectively.Both PPA and PPE were primarily composed of crystalline mannan,consisting of mannopyranosyl units linked by(1→4)-β-glycosidic bonds,along with a small amount of lignin.PPA possibly contained a higher proportion of crystalline mannan,whereas PPE had a larger amount of arabinoxylan and galactomannan.Atomic force microscope revealed a stacked morphology for both PPA and PPE.PPA exhibited a higher scavenging rate against DPPH•and ABTS^(+)•but a weaker HO•scavenging activity and reducing power compared with PPE.Within the polysaccharide concentration range of 0.5-5.0 mg/mL,PPA and PPB demonstrated the strongest scavenging activity against ABTS^(+)•,with the highest scavenging rates exceeding 91%.However,PPA and PPB exhibited the weakest scavenging activity against HO•,with their highest HO•scavenging rates reaching only 44.91%and 55.86%,respectively.The antioxidant activities of both PPA and PPE were weaker than that of ascorbic acid.PPA remained almost stable in the in vitro simulated saliva fluid,while PPE exhibited weaker resistance to it.Both PPA and PPE exhibited weak resistance to the in vitro simulated gastric digestion fluids,but remained relatively stable in the in vitro simulated small-intestinal digestion fluid.The differences in physicochemical properties between PPA and PPE likely played an important role in their distinct biological activities.These findings suggest potential utilization of PKC in exploring dietary polysaccharides with favorable antioxidant activity and unique digestive characteristics.展开更多
Brackish water(BW)irrigation may cause soil quality deterioration and thereby a decrease in crop yields.Here we examined the impacts of applying gasification filter cake(GFC),intercropping with Portulaca oleracea(PO),...Brackish water(BW)irrigation may cause soil quality deterioration and thereby a decrease in crop yields.Here we examined the impacts of applying gasification filter cake(GFC),intercropping with Portulaca oleracea(PO),and their combination on soil quality,nutrient uptake by plants and tomato yields under BW irrigation.The treatments evaluated included(i)freshwater irrigation(Control),(ii)BW irrigation,(iii)GFC application under BW irrigation(BW+GFC),(iv)intercropping with PO under BW irrigation(BW+PO),and(v)the combined application of GFC and PO under BW irrigation(BW+PO+GFC).Overall,the use of BW for irrigation resulted in a decline in both soil quality(assessed by a soil quality index(SQI)integrating a wide range of key soil properties including salinity,nutrient availability and microbial activities)and crop yields.Nevertheless,when subjected to BW irrigation,the application of GFC successfully prevented soil salinity.Additionally,the intercropping of PO decreased the soil sodium adsorption ratio and improved the absorption of nutrients by plants.As a result,the BW+GFC+PO treatment generally showed higher tomato yield as compared to other BW-related treatments(i.e.BW,BW+GFC and BW+PO).Compared to BW,the BW+GFC+PO treatment had an average increase of 24.7% in the total fruit yield of four Cropping Seasons.Furthermore,the BW+GFC+PO treatment consistently exhibited the highest fruit quality index(FQI).Taken together,the combined application of GFC and PO is effective in promoting soil quality and crop yields under BW irrigation.展开更多
Fluid shortening is an important ingredient in the production of sponge cake. Peanut oil with 0, 43% and 85% of diacylglycerol content was used as the base oil. Different emulsifiers, such as glycerol monostearate, so...Fluid shortening is an important ingredient in the production of sponge cake. Peanut oil with 0, 43% and 85% of diacylglycerol content was used as the base oil. Different emulsifiers, such as glycerol monostearate, soy lecithin and sucrose ester, and their respective amounts, were investigated. It was found that the addition of emulsifiers had a positive effect on water-absorbing capacity, air-absorbing capacity and viscosity of the oils. Glycerol monostearate was the preferred emulsifier for fluid shortening with a recommended addition of 1.5%. The effects of different diacylglycerol content on fluid shortening and their impact on sponge cake production was also investigated. The onset oxidation temperature of the oil could be increased from 253.21 ℃ for PO-TAG-based fluid shortening to 263.70 ℃ for PO-DAG85-based fluid shortening. And the increase in diacylglycerol content leading to a lower specific gravity of the batter, which was 1.06 g/mL, 1.02 g/mL and 0.98 g/mL prepared by PO-DAG, PO-DAG43 and PO-DAG85 shortening, respectively. The results showed that diacylglycerols can be used as base oils in fluid shortening to improve the crystal network and stability of fluid shortenings, thereby reducing the specific gravity of the batter and improving the structural properties of the cake. This will extend the potential applications of diacylglycerols and increase the variety of base oils available for fluid shortening preparation.展开更多
Membrane fouling is a bottleneck issue that hindered the further application of ultrafiltration technology.To alleviate membrane fouling,coagulation-ultrafiltration(C-UF)process using polyaluminum chloride(PACl)and PA...Membrane fouling is a bottleneck issue that hindered the further application of ultrafiltration technology.To alleviate membrane fouling,coagulation-ultrafiltration(C-UF)process using polyaluminum chloride(PACl)and PACl-Al_(13)with high proportion of Al_(13)O_(4)(OH)_(24)^(7+)as coagulants,respectively,were investigated at various pH conditions.Results indicated that an increase in solution pH contributed to larger floc size and looser floc structure for both PACl and PACl-Al_(13).It was conducive to the formation of more porous cake,as evidenced by mean pore area and pore area distribution of cake,leading to lower reversible fouling.Furthermore,humic acid(HA)removal presented a trend of first increasing and then decreasing with the increase of pH.The optimal HA removal was achieved at pH 6 regardless of coagulant type,suggesting that the slightest irreversible fouling should be occurred at this point.Interestingly,the irreversible fouling with PACl coagulant achieved a minimum value at pH 9,while the minimal irreversible fouling with PACl-Al_(13)was observed at pH 6.We speculated that the cake formed by PACl could further intercept HA prior to UF process at alkaline pH.Furthermore,compared with PACl,PACl-Al_(13)had a stronger charge neutralization ability,thus contributing to more compact floc structure and higher HA removal at various pH conditions.By UF fractionation measurement,higher HA removal for PACl-Al_(13)was due to higher removal of HA with molecular weight less than 50 kDa.展开更多

Two main types of particle deposition,namely, cake filtration at the inlet and deep bed filtration throughout the entire porous medium, are studied by different models. A unified approach for the transport and deposition of particles based on the deep bed filtration model is proposed. A variable suspension flow rate, proportional to the number of free pores at the inlet of the porous medium, is considered. To model cake filtration, this flow rate is introduced into the mass balance equation of deep bed filtration. For the cake filtration without deposit erosion,the suspension flow rate decreases to zero, and the suspension does not penetrate deep into the porous medium. In the case of the cake filtration with erosion, the suspension flow rate is nonzero, and the deposit is distributed throughout the entire porous medium. An exact solution is obtained for a constant filtration function. The method of characteristics is used to construct the asymptotics of the concentration front of suspended and retained particles for a filtration function in a general form. Explicit formulae are obtained for a linear filtration function. The properties of these solutions are studied in detail.展开更多

The properties of oil and gas formation could be significantly damaged during drilling and completion operations as a result of mud invasion,fluid incompatibility and interaction with rock minerals.This paper presents...The properties of oil and gas formation could be significantly damaged during drilling and completion operations as a result of mud invasion,fluid incompatibility and interaction with rock minerals.This paper presents a systematic method for evaluating formation damage during filter cake deposition(primary damage)and removal process(secondary damage).The role of primary damage in the evolution of secondary damage was also investigated.The interaction of the filter cake solvent(chelating agent solution)with the rock samples was implemented through core flooding experiment.Nuclear Magnetic Resonance(NMR)was used to evaluate the properties of the rock sample,pre and post filter cake deposition and removal processes.The results show that secondary damaged is a strong function of the location and the intensity of the primary damage.The rock type and its pore structure also play important roles in both primary and secondary damage.The extent of secondary damage depends on the amount of barium sulphate deposited during primary damage.The chelating agent used to dissolve the barites in sandstones,deposited the barite in the small pores while it enlarges the bigger pores.In contrast,the chelating agent in the carbonate samples had multiple barite deposition points.展开更多

The results show that the static-bed filtering time is the function of the spiral heads and the rotation rate deference between the spiral and the porous drum, while the moving-bed filtering time is the function of the cone angle of the porous drum, the radius of the porous drum, the spiral angle, and the rotation rate deference. The functions deduced are of great significance for fine coal filtering centrifuge's parameters determining and optimizing. It is shown that the filtering centrifuge with smaller spiral angle, smaller rotation rate deference, and smaller cone angle may do a better job for fine coal dewatering.展开更多

Cake vertical profile along filter medium versus filtration velocity (ranging from 3 to 7cm/s), particle concentration (ranging from 40 to 120g/m^3) and particle areal mass to filter (ranging from 0.57 to 2.86 kg/m^2), was researched by experiments and modeling. The filtration was carried through by a plane filter media (Material: Terylene felt, Thickness: 1.8mm) covered on a framework which was fixed in a filter. During filtration, the cake thickness was measured up and down by a mobile microscope and a camera controlled by a PC. The results showed that the cake vertical profile accord with a peak function. The peak amplitude A, center displacement xc, the shape parameters W of the peak function was greatly depended on filtration velocity and particle areal mass to filter, whereas slightly on particle concentration. The relationships between the three coefficients (peak amplitude A, center displacement xc, the shape parameters W) and filtration velocity, areal mass to filter, particle concentration were associated as equations, based on which pressure drop model was deduced. The peak function and pressure drop model were verified with experimental data.展开更多
[Objective] This study aimed to investigate the effects of the combined use of cake organic fertilizer and tobacco special fertilizer on the growth and development as well as the quality of tobacco leaves.[Method] Dif...[Objective] This study aimed to investigate the effects of the combined use of cake organic fertilizer and tobacco special fertilizer on the growth and development as well as the quality of tobacco leaves.[Method] Different ratios of cake organic fertilizer and tobacco special fertilizer were applied.Then,the agronomic traits and leaf quality determining factors were measured and analyzed at different growing stages.[Result] Compared with the control,the tobacco plant height was increased by 3.01%-5.84%,while the number of valid leaves was increased by 5.56%-20.39% in all the treatments with combined use of fertilizers.The ratio of sugar to nicotine of leaf was closer to 10±1,and the ratio of nitrogen to nicotine of leaf was closer to 1±0.1.In addition,the combined use of 750 kg/hm2 tobacco special base fertilizer and 292 kg/hm2 cake organic fertilizer had a better effect for improving the agronomic traits and flavor qualities than all the other treatments.[Conclusion] This study will provide reference for developing special full-aroma tobacco leaf product and new tobacco special fertilizers in Hunan.展开更多

Through single and compound formula preservative test, the results showed that potassium sorbate and sodium dehydroacetate could inhibit the microorganisms in the moon cake, but the inhibitory effect of sodium dehydroacetate was stronger than that of potassium sorbate; and the combination of potassium sorbate and sodium dehydroacetate had a synergistic effect, and the best formula is 'potassium sorbate 0.44 g/kg mixed with sodium dehydroacetate 0.38 g/kg. A batch of moon cake was prepared with the best preservative formula, then the total number of colonies, molds and coliform group in the samples were detected by random sampling at irregular intervals. The total number of molds exceeded the limit on the 187^th d, and it indicated that the shelf life of the product was 187 d. Compared with the conventional 15-day shelf life, this research greatly prolongs the sheff life of cantonese style moon cake, and cut down the cost of moon cake enterprises. Background: Rapeseed cake is a good source of protein for animal feed but its utilization is limited due to the presence of anti-nutritional substances, such as glucosinolates (GIs), phytic acid, tannins etc. In th...Background: Rapeseed cake is a good source of protein for animal feed but its utilization is limited due to the presence of anti-nutritional substances, such as glucosinolates (GIs), phytic acid, tannins etc. In the present study, a solid state fermentation (SSF) using Aspergillus niger was carried out with the purpose of degrading glucosinolates and improving the nutritional quality of rapeseed cake (RSC). The effects of medium composition and incubation conditions on the GIs content in fermented rapeseed cake (FRSC) were investigated, and chemical composition and amino acid in vitro digestibility of RSC substrate fermented under optimal conditions were determined. Results: After 72 h of incubation at 34℃, a 76.89% decrease in GIs of RSC was obtained in solid medium containing 70% RSC, 30% wheat bran at optimal moisture content 60% (w/w). Compared to unfermented RSC, trichloroacetic acid soluble protein (TCA-SP), crude protein and ether extract contents of the FRSC were increased (P〈 0.05) 103.71, 23.02 and 23.54%, respectively. As expected, the contents of NDF and phytic acid declined (P〈 0.05) by 9.12 and 44.60%, respectively. Total amino acids (TAA) and essential amino acids (EAA) contents as well as AA in vitro digestibility of FRSC were improved significantly (P 〈 0.05). Moreover, the enzyme activity of endoglucanase, xylanase, acid protease and phytase were increased (P 〈 0.05) during SSF. Conclusions: Our results indicate that the solid state fermentation offers an effective approach to improving the quality of proteins sources such as rapeseed cake.展开更多
Objective:To investigate the suitability of citrus-press cakes,by-products of the juice industry as a source for the whitening agents for cosmetic industry.Methods:Ethylacetate extracts of citrus-press cakes(CCE)were ...Objective:To investigate the suitability of citrus-press cakes,by-products of the juice industry as a source for the whitening agents for cosmetic industry.Methods:Ethylacetate extracts of citrus-press cakes(CCE)were examined for their anti-melanogenic potentials in terms of the inhibition of melanin production and mechanisim of melanogenesis by using Western Blot analysis with tyrosinese,tyrosinase-related protein-1(TRP-1),TRP2,and microphthalmia-associated transcription factor(MITF)proteins.To apply the topical agents,citrus-press cakes was investigated the safety in human skin cell line.Finally flavonoid analysis of CCE was also determined by HPLC analysis.Results:Results indicated that CCE were shown to down-regulate melanin content in a dose-dependent pattern.The CCE inhibited tyrosinase,TRP-2,and MITF expressions in a dose-dependent manner.To test the applicability of CCE to human skin,we used MTT assay to assess the cytotoxic effects of CCE on human keratinocyte HaCaT cells.The CCE exhibited low cytotoxicity at 50μg/mL.Characterization of the citrus-press cakes for flavonoid contents using HPLC showed varied quantity of rutin,narirutin,and hesperidin.Conclusions:Considering the anti-melanogenic activity and human safety,CCE is considered as a potential anti-melanogenic agent and may be effective for topical application for treating hyperpigmentation disorders.展开更多

[Result] The application of different amounts of rapeseed cake as the base fertilizer had a positive effect in reducing heavy metal contents in tobacco, and the treatment applied with oil cake accounting for 30% of total fertilizer showed an effect significantly different from that of the CK. [Conclusion] This study has a positive effect on the improvement of tobacco safety, and provides certain scientific guide for the improvement of tobacco safety by improving fertilization modes and fertilizer kinds and for the selection and pretreatment of fertilizers, which are of very important significance to practical production.展开更多

文摘Palm kernel cake(PKC),a major by-product of the palm oil industry,is rich in non-starch polysaccharides.In this study,two polysaccharide fractions,precipitated with acetic acid(PPA)and ethanol(PPE),respectively,were extracted from PKC using a 2 mol/L NaOH solution.The molecular weight,sugar composition,structural characteristics,morphology,antioxidant activity,as well as in vitro stimulated digestion were investigated in detail.The results revealed that due to its poor solubility of PPA in water,the detected molecular weight of PPA was only 2040 g/mol,which was significantly lower than that of PPE(65,300 g/mol).Although PPA and PPE had a similar sugar composition with varying contents,mannose was the predominant monosaccharide in both,accounting for 87.71%and 60.40%,respectively.Both PPA and PPE were primarily composed of crystalline mannan,consisting of mannopyranosyl units linked by(1→4)-β-glycosidic bonds,along with a small amount of lignin.PPA possibly contained a higher proportion of crystalline mannan,whereas PPE had a larger amount of arabinoxylan and galactomannan.Atomic force microscope revealed a stacked morphology for both PPA and PPE.PPA exhibited a higher scavenging rate against DPPH•and ABTS^(+)•but a weaker HO•scavenging activity and reducing power compared with PPE.Within the polysaccharide concentration range of 0.5-5.0 mg/mL,PPA and PPB demonstrated the strongest scavenging activity against ABTS^(+)•,with the highest scavenging rates exceeding 91%.However,PPA and PPB exhibited the weakest scavenging activity against HO•,with their highest HO•scavenging rates reaching only 44.91%and 55.86%,respectively.The antioxidant activities of both PPA and PPE were weaker than that of ascorbic acid.PPA remained almost stable in the in vitro simulated saliva fluid,while PPE exhibited weaker resistance to it.Both PPA and PPE exhibited weak resistance to the in vitro simulated gastric digestion fluids,but remained relatively stable in the in vitro simulated small-intestinal digestion fluid.The differences in physicochemical properties between PPA and PPE likely played an important role in their distinct biological activities.These findings suggest potential utilization of PKC in exploring dietary polysaccharides with favorable antioxidant activity and unique digestive characteristics.

文摘Brackish water(BW)irrigation may cause soil quality deterioration and thereby a decrease in crop yields.Here we examined the impacts of applying gasification filter cake(GFC),intercropping with Portulaca oleracea(PO),and their combination on soil quality,nutrient uptake by plants and tomato yields under BW irrigation.The treatments evaluated included(i)freshwater irrigation(Control),(ii)BW irrigation,(iii)GFC application under BW irrigation(BW+GFC),(iv)intercropping with PO under BW irrigation(BW+PO),and(v)the combined application of GFC and PO under BW irrigation(BW+PO+GFC).Overall,the use of BW for irrigation resulted in a decline in both soil quality(assessed by a soil quality index(SQI)integrating a wide range of key soil properties including salinity,nutrient availability and microbial activities)and crop yields.Nevertheless,when subjected to BW irrigation,the application of GFC successfully prevented soil salinity.Additionally,the intercropping of PO decreased the soil sodium adsorption ratio and improved the absorption of nutrients by plants.As a result,the BW+GFC+PO treatment generally showed higher tomato yield as compared to other BW-related treatments(i.e.BW,BW+GFC and BW+PO).Compared to BW,the BW+GFC+PO treatment had an average increase of 24.7% in the total fruit yield of four Cropping Seasons.Furthermore,the BW+GFC+PO treatment consistently exhibited the highest fruit quality index(FQI).Taken together,the combined application of GFC and PO is effective in promoting soil quality and crop yields under BW irrigation.

文摘Fluid shortening is an important ingredient in the production of sponge cake. Peanut oil with 0, 43% and 85% of diacylglycerol content was used as the base oil. Different emulsifiers, such as glycerol monostearate, soy lecithin and sucrose ester, and their respective amounts, were investigated. It was found that the addition of emulsifiers had a positive effect on water-absorbing capacity, air-absorbing capacity and viscosity of the oils. Glycerol monostearate was the preferred emulsifier for fluid shortening with a recommended addition of 1.5%. The effects of different diacylglycerol content on fluid shortening and their impact on sponge cake production was also investigated. The onset oxidation temperature of the oil could be increased from 253.21 ℃ for PO-TAG-based fluid shortening to 263.70 ℃ for PO-DAG85-based fluid shortening. And the increase in diacylglycerol content leading to a lower specific gravity of the batter, which was 1.06 g/mL, 1.02 g/mL and 0.98 g/mL prepared by PO-DAG, PO-DAG43 and PO-DAG85 shortening, respectively. The results showed that diacylglycerols can be used as base oils in fluid shortening to improve the crystal network and stability of fluid shortenings, thereby reducing the specific gravity of the batter and improving the structural properties of the cake. This will extend the potential applications of diacylglycerols and increase the variety of base oils available for fluid shortening preparation.

文摘Membrane fouling is a bottleneck issue that hindered the further application of ultrafiltration technology.To alleviate membrane fouling,coagulation-ultrafiltration(C-UF)process using polyaluminum chloride(PACl)and PACl-Al_(13)with high proportion of Al_(13)O_(4)(OH)_(24)^(7+)as coagulants,respectively,were investigated at various pH conditions.Results indicated that an increase in solution pH contributed to larger floc size and looser floc structure for both PACl and PACl-Al_(13).It was conducive to the formation of more porous cake,as evidenced by mean pore area and pore area distribution of cake,leading to lower reversible fouling.Furthermore,humic acid(HA)removal presented a trend of first increasing and then decreasing with the increase of pH.The optimal HA removal was achieved at pH 6 regardless of coagulant type,suggesting that the slightest irreversible fouling should be occurred at this point.Interestingly,the irreversible fouling with PACl coagulant achieved a minimum value at pH 9,while the minimal irreversible fouling with PACl-Al_(13)was observed at pH 6.We speculated that the cake formed by PACl could further intercept HA prior to UF process at alkaline pH.Furthermore,compared with PACl,PACl-Al_(13)had a stronger charge neutralization ability,thus contributing to more compact floc structure and higher HA removal at various pH conditions.By UF fractionation measurement,higher HA removal for PACl-Al_(13)was due to higher removal of HA with molecular weight less than 50 kDa.
文摘Many phenomena in nature and technology are associated with the filtration of suspensions and colloids in porous media. Two main types of particle deposition,namely, cake filtration at the inlet and deep bed filtration throughout the entire porous medium, are studied by different models. A unified approach for the transport and deposition of particles based on the deep bed filtration model is proposed. A variable suspension flow rate, proportional to the number of free pores at the inlet of the porous medium, is considered. To model cake filtration, this flow rate is introduced into the mass balance equation of deep bed filtration. For the cake filtration without deposit erosion,the suspension flow rate decreases to zero, and the suspension does not penetrate deep into the porous medium. In the case of the cake filtration with erosion, the suspension flow rate is nonzero, and the deposit is distributed throughout the entire porous medium. An exact solution is obtained for a constant filtration function. The method of characteristics is used to construct the asymptotics of the concentration front of suspended and retained particles for a filtration function in a general form. Explicit formulae are obtained for a linear filtration function. The properties of these solutions are studied in detail.

文摘Cake filtration has been widely used in many chemical processes with more non-Newtonian, highly viscous and compressible materials involved. Neither traditional nor modem filtration theory can be applied in practice "Equivalent cake filtration model" is a recently developed mathematical model to describe cake filtration for both Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids, in either steady or unsteady filtration stages. This model has two strengths: (1) It can be used to determine equivalent capillary radii and predict filtration quality based on the properties of solid/liquid system and operation parameters; and (2) to calculate cake specific resistance and its variations with time at various cake thickness locations.
文摘This paper studied the effects of liquid-solid ratio, temperature, time and pH value on the extraction rate of tea saponin from the cake of Camellia oleifera seeds by using single factor experiment with the cake of Camellia oleifera seeds as the raw materials, and water as the extraction solvent, and orthogonal test was used to determine the optimal extraction process conditions. The results showed that the extraction ratio of tea saponin could reach up to 95.50% when the liquidsolid ratio was 11:1, extracting temperature of 80 ℃, extraction time of 6 h, and pH value of 9.

文摘The properties of oil and gas formation could be significantly damaged during drilling and completion operations as a result of mud invasion,fluid incompatibility and interaction with rock minerals.This paper presents a systematic method for evaluating formation damage during filter cake deposition(primary damage)and removal process(secondary damage).The role of primary damage in the evolution of secondary damage was also investigated.The interaction of the filter cake solvent(chelating agent solution)with the rock samples was implemented through core flooding experiment.Nuclear Magnetic Resonance(NMR)was used to evaluate the properties of the rock sample,pre and post filter cake deposition and removal processes.The results show that secondary damaged is a strong function of the location and the intensity of the primary damage.The rock type and its pore structure also play important roles in both primary and secondary damage.The extent of secondary damage depends on the amount of barium sulphate deposited during primary damage.The chelating agent used to dissolve the barites in sandstones,deposited the barite in the small pores while it enlarges the bigger pores.In contrast,the chelating agent in the carbonate samples had multiple barite deposition points.

文摘Based on the realization of moving-bed cake filtering, the concepts of static-bed filtering time and moving-bed fil- tering time in the helical-conveyor fine coal filtering centrifuge were proposed, and the mathematic relations between the time defined and the main factors related were studied in detail. The results show that the static-bed filtering time is the function of the spiral heads and the rotation rate deference between the spiral and the porous drum, while the moving-bed filtering time is the function of the cone angle of the porous drum, the radius of the porous drum, the spiral angle, and the rotation rate deference. The functions deduced are of great significance for fine coal filtering centrifuge's parameters determining and optimizing. It is shown that the filtering centrifuge with smaller spiral angle, smaller rotation rate deference, and smaller cone angle may do a better job for fine coal dewatering.
文摘Alumina (MMAD: 32.45μm) was used to study dust cake formation in fiber filter at steady-state operation. Cake vertical profile along filter medium versus filtration velocity (ranging from 3 to 7cm/s), particle concentration (ranging from 40 to 120g/m^3) and particle areal mass to filter (ranging from 0.57 to 2.86 kg/m^2), was researched by experiments and modeling. The filtration was carried through by a plane filter media (Material: Terylene felt, Thickness: 1.8mm) covered on a framework which was fixed in a filter. During filtration, the cake thickness was measured up and down by a mobile microscope and a camera controlled by a PC. The results showed that the cake vertical profile accord with a peak function. The peak amplitude A, center displacement xc, the shape parameters W of the peak function was greatly depended on filtration velocity and particle areal mass to filter, whereas slightly on particle concentration. The relationships between the three coefficients (peak amplitude A, center displacement xc, the shape parameters W) and filtration velocity, areal mass to filter, particle concentration were associated as equations, based on which pressure drop model was deduced. The peak function and pressure drop model were verified with experimental data.
文摘[Objective] This study aimed to investigate the effects of the combined use of cake organic fertilizer and tobacco special fertilizer on the growth and development as well as the quality of tobacco leaves.[Method] Different ratios of cake organic fertilizer and tobacco special fertilizer were applied.Then,the agronomic traits and leaf quality determining factors were measured and analyzed at different growing stages.[Result] Compared with the control,the tobacco plant height was increased by 3.01%-5.84%,while the number of valid leaves was increased by 5.56%-20.39% in all the treatments with combined use of fertilizers.The ratio of sugar to nicotine of leaf was closer to 10±1,and the ratio of nitrogen to nicotine of leaf was closer to 1±0.1.In addition,the combined use of 750 kg/hm2 tobacco special base fertilizer and 292 kg/hm2 cake organic fertilizer had a better effect for improving the agronomic traits and flavor qualities than all the other treatments.[Conclusion] This study will provide reference for developing special full-aroma tobacco leaf product and new tobacco special fertilizers in Hunan.

The results showed that the best production process conditions of tuckahoe purple potato steamed sponge cake were as follows: ratio of wheat flour to tuckahoe power at 8:2, 10% purple potato starch, 25% white granulated sugar, and 1.5% yeast powder.

文摘To ensure the safety of consumers, prolong the shelf life of moon cake and reduce the cost of manufacturing and marketing enterprises, the optimization of preservative formula and the shelf life of cantonese style moon cake were studied. Through single and compound formula preservative test, the results showed that potassium sorbate and sodium dehydroacetate could inhibit the microorganisms in the moon cake, but the inhibitory effect of sodium dehydroacetate was stronger than that of potassium sorbate; and the combination of potassium sorbate and sodium dehydroacetate had a synergistic effect, and the best formula is 'potassium sorbate 0.44 g/kg mixed with sodium dehydroacetate 0.38 g/kg. A batch of moon cake was prepared with the best preservative formula, then the total number of colonies, molds and coliform group in the samples were detected by random sampling at irregular intervals. The total number of molds exceeded the limit on the 187^th d, and it indicated that the shelf life of the product was 187 d. Compared with the conventional 15-day shelf life, this research greatly prolongs the sheff life of cantonese style moon cake, and cut down the cost of moon cake enterprises. It is worthy of popularization and application.

文摘Background: Rapeseed cake is a good source of protein for animal feed but its utilization is limited due to the presence of anti-nutritional substances, such as glucosinolates (GIs), phytic acid, tannins etc. In the present study, a solid state fermentation (SSF) using Aspergillus niger was carried out with the purpose of degrading glucosinolates and improving the nutritional quality of rapeseed cake (RSC). The effects of medium composition and incubation conditions on the GIs content in fermented rapeseed cake (FRSC) were investigated, and chemical composition and amino acid in vitro digestibility of RSC substrate fermented under optimal conditions were determined. Results: After 72 h of incubation at 34℃, a 76.89% decrease in GIs of RSC was obtained in solid medium containing 70% RSC, 30% wheat bran at optimal moisture content 60% (w/w). Compared to unfermented RSC, trichloroacetic acid soluble protein (TCA-SP), crude protein and ether extract contents of the FRSC were increased (P〈 0.05) 103.71, 23.02 and 23.54%, respectively. As expected, the contents of NDF and phytic acid declined (P〈 0.05) by 9.12 and 44.60%, respectively. Total amino acids (TAA) and essential amino acids (EAA) contents as well as AA in vitro digestibility of FRSC were improved significantly (P 〈 0.05). Moreover, the enzyme activity of endoglucanase, xylanase, acid protease and phytase were increased (P 〈 0.05) during SSF. Conclusions: Our results indicate that the solid state fermentation offers an effective approach to improving the quality of proteins sources such as rapeseed cake.

文摘Objective:To investigate the suitability of citrus-press cakes,by-products of the juice industry as a source for the whitening agents for cosmetic industry.Methods:Ethylacetate extracts of citrus-press cakes(CCE)were examined for their anti-melanogenic potentials in terms of the inhibition of melanin production and mechanisim of melanogenesis by using Western Blot analysis with tyrosinese,tyrosinase-related protein-1(TRP-1),TRP2,and microphthalmia-associated transcription factor(MITF)proteins.To apply the topical agents,citrus-press cakes was investigated the safety in human skin cell line.Finally flavonoid analysis of CCE was also determined by HPLC analysis.Results:Results indicated that CCE were shown to down-regulate melanin content in a dose-dependent pattern.The CCE inhibited tyrosinase,TRP-2,and MITF expressions in a dose-dependent manner.To test the applicability of CCE to human skin,we used MTT assay to assess the cytotoxic effects of CCE on human keratinocyte HaCaT cells.The CCE exhibited low cytotoxicity at 50μg/mL.Characterization of the citrus-press cakes for flavonoid contents using HPLC showed varied quantity of rutin,narirutin,and hesperidin.Conclusions:Considering the anti-melanogenic activity and human safety,CCE is considered as a potential anti-melanogenic agent and may be effective for topical application for treating hyperpigmentation disorders.

文摘[Objective] This study was conducted to find an effective method to control heavy metals in tobacco. [Method] Field experiments were carried out in the culture process of flue-cured tobacco, and the effects of application of rapeseed cake at different amounts in reducing heavy metal contents in tobacco were investigated. [Result] The application of different amounts of rapeseed cake as the base fertilizer had a positive effect in reducing heavy metal contents in tobacco, and the treatment applied with oil cake accounting for 30% of total fertilizer showed an effect significantly different from that of the CK. [Conclusion] This study has a positive effect on the improvement of tobacco safety, and provides certain scientific guide for the improvement of tobacco safety by improving fertilization modes and fertilizer kinds and for the selection and pretreatment of fertilizers, which are of very important significance to practical production.
