针对复合材料固化成型后存在残余应力,而导致复合材料出现变形、纤维断裂和界面脱粘等缺陷,严重影响复合材料的性能及其可靠性的问题,以降低固化过程中的残余应力来提高碳纤维复合材料性能为目标,根据复合材料成型特点对碳纤维预应力装... 针对复合材料固化成型后存在残余应力,而导致复合材料出现变形、纤维断裂和界面脱粘等缺陷,严重影响复合材料的性能及其可靠性的问题,以降低固化过程中的残余应力来提高碳纤维复合材料性能为目标,根据复合材料成型特点对碳纤维预应力装置进行设计和制造,并制备了多组具有不同预应力的复合材料。为了准确监测并跟踪复合材料固化过程中的应变,在复合材料试件中嵌入FBG传感器。通过对具有不同预应力的复合材料进行拉伸性能测试及断面SEM分析,获得预应力对复合材料的影响规律,并从材料微观结构的演变过程进行分析,揭示其内在机制,为复合材料成型的发展提供新质生产力。 展开更多

Metal-coated fiber Bragg grating(FBG)temperature sensors were prepared via electroless nickel(EN)plating and tin electroplating methods on the surface of normal bare FBG.The surface morphologies of the metal-coated layers were observed under a metallographic microscope.The effects of pretreatment sequence,pH value of EN plating solution and current density of electroplating on the performance of the metal-coated layers were analyzed.Meanwhile, the Bragg wavelength shift induced by temperature was monitored by an optical spectrum analyzer.Sensitivity of the metal-coated FBG(MFBG)sensor was almost two times that of normal bare FBG sensor.The measuring temperature of the MFBG sensor could be up to 280℃,which was much better than that of conventional FBG sensor. 展开更多

A simple structure optical fiber sensor for relative humidity(RH) and temperature measurement is proposed and verified in this paper, which is based on graphene oxide quantum dots and polyvinyl alcohol(GOQDs-PVA) composite coated tapered no-core fiber(NCF) combined with a fiber Bragg grating(FBG). FBG is insensitive to humidity and sensitive to temperature, which is used to compensate temperature of the sensor. Experimental results show this sensor has humidity sensitivity of 143.27 pm/%RH ranging from 30%RH to 80%RH and the temperature sensitivity of 9.21 pm/℃. The proposed sensor has advantages of simple structure, good repeatability, and good stability, which is expected to be used in both RH and temperature measurement in biological and chemical fields. 展开更多

And through experimental study and reasoning calculation to verify the three layer structure of the optical waveguide model, so the sensitivity characteristic of the Bragg wavelength to the refractive index of chemical solution is obtained. And the relationships between the concentration and the shift of Bragg wavelength of sucrose, ethanol, and Nacl solution are achieved. Finally the shifts of the Bragg wavelength with the external concentration are obtained by experiments. Improvement of the PGC technique is also introduced by using peak-to-peak value detection method to reduce the influence of variation of the light intensity. A four-element fibre Bragg gratings (FBG) laser sensor system is conducted in the experiment and the demodulated results demonstrate correlation coefficient as high as 0.995 with the reference signal and the dynamic range to be 120dB@63Hz. 展开更多

Due to the circular birefringence, the linear relationship between the max of PDL and pressure has been broken down. To estimate the cross sensitivity, a new parameter named relative peak of PDL (RPPDL) is proposed. Under different circular birefringence, the same pressure sensitivity of sensor has been achieved. The theo- retical analysis and experiment results prove that transverse strain sensor of FBG is insensitive to the circular birefrin- gence by applying the RPPDL. This FM-FBG is in inscribed in a multi-layer few-mode fiber (ML-FMF), and could acquire the change of the axial strain along fibers, which depends on the transmission dips. On account of the distinct dual-mode property, a good stability of this sensor is realized. The two transmission dips could have the different sensing behaviors. Both the propagation characteristics and operation principle of such a sensor are demonstrated in detail. High sensitivity of the FM-FBG, ~4 pm/με and ~4.5 pm/με within the range of 0 με - 1456 με, is experimentally achieved. FM-FBGs could be easily scattered along one fiber. Aiming at the requirement for high-precision tilt monitoring in the field of structural health monitoring(SHM),this paper proposes a sensitivity-enhanced tilt sensor based on a femtosecond fiber Bragg grating(FBG).Firstly,structural design of the tilt sensor was conducted based on static mechanics principles.By positioning the FBG away from the beam’s neutral axis,linear strain enhancement in the FBG was achieved,thereby improving sensor sensitivity.The relationship between FBG strain,applied force,and the offset distance from the neutral axis was established,determining the optimal distance corresponding to maximum strain.Based on this optimization scheme,a prototype of the tilt sensor was designed,fabricated,and experimentally tested.Experimental results show that the FBG offset distance yielding maximum sensitivity is 4.4 mm.Within a tilt angle range of−30°to 30°,the sensor achieved a sensitivity of 129.95 pm/°and a linearity of 0.9997.Compared to conventional FBG-based tilt sensors,both sensitivity and linearity were significantly improved.Furthermore,the sensor demonstrated excellent repeatability(error<0.94%),creep resistance(error<0.30%),and temperature stability(error<0.90%).These results demonstrate the sensor’s excellent potential for SHM applications.The sensor has been successfully deployed in an underground pipeline project,conducting long-term monitoring of tilt and deformation in the steel support structures,further proving its value for engineering safety monitoring. 展开更多

A compact and highly sensitive gas pressure and temperature sensor based on Fabry-Pérot interferometer(FPI)and fiber Bragg grating(FBG)is proposed and demonstrated experimentally in this paper.The theoretical model for pressure and temperature sensing is established.Building on this foundation,a novel micro silicon cavity sensor structure sensitive to pressure is devised downstream of an FBG.The concept of separate measurement and the mechanisms enhancing pressure sensitivity are meticulously analyzed,and the corresponding samples are fabricated.The experimental results indicate that the pressure sensitivity of the sensor is-747.849 nm/MPa in 0—100 k Pa and its linearity is 99.7%and it maintains good stability in 150 min.The sensor offers the advantages of compact size,robust construction,easy fabrication,and high sensitivity,making it potentially valuable for micro-pressure application. 展开更多

Vacuum pressure vessels are one of the critical components in the aerospace field,and understanding the mechanical behavior feature is particularly important for safe operation.Therefore,it is meaningful to obtain the stress and strain distributions in the key positions of the vacuum tank,which can contribute to the safe performance assessment,operation efficiency,and fault analysis.Hence,this paper provides the distribution characteristics and variation rules of stress and tank strain of vacuum under different internal and external pressures through the elastic theoretical analysis and iteration method.The quasi-distributed fiber Bragg grating(FBG)sensors and the layout on the vacuum pressure vessel have thus been designed to monitor the whole vacuum extraction and loss process under three different loading conditions.Data analysis based on the theoretical results and monitoring information has further been conducted to validate the effectiveness of the proposed monitoring method for possible leakage defects.Research results indicate that the continuously monitoring data can quite sensitively and accurately characterize the microstrain variation features of the vacuum tank at different vacuum stages,and the loading-induced vibration effect should be carefully considered during the data interpretation.The study can provide scientific support for the vacuum loss state monitoring and safe performance assessment of the vacuum pressure vessels. 展开更多

为防止建筑基坑质量事故的发生,在基坑施工过程中需对关键部位进行应变监测。本文对FBG应变传感器工作原理进行分析,并对埋设传感器于建筑基坑的钢筋混凝土内支撑结构进行应变监测试验研究。试验方法采用在内支撑的表面及上部、中部、... 为防止建筑基坑质量事故的发生,在基坑施工过程中需对关键部位进行应变监测。本文对FBG应变传感器工作原理进行分析,并对埋设传感器于建筑基坑的钢筋混凝土内支撑结构进行应变监测试验研究。试验方法采用在内支撑的表面及上部、中部、下部几种不同的埋入位置对内支撑应变值进行量测,并联合传统的振弦式应变传感器测量方法,对两种测试方法的试验数据进行处理和对比分析。监测结果显示,内支撑的上部与中、下部受力状态不同,上部受压,中部、下部受拉,测试结果与传统的振弦式应变传感器的测量结果具有较好的一致性。试验结果表明,FBG应变计传感器与传统应变计相比可靠性和精度性更好,且能够在施工过程中实时监测;FBG应变传感器用于监测建筑基坑内支撑的内力是可行的,但使用成本高,现场安装和维护要求更高。 展开更多
