As the important matrix material,epoxy resin has been widely used in the composites for various fields.On account of the poor toughness of epoxy resin limiting their suitability for advanced applications,considerable interests have been conducted to modify the epoxy resin to meet the engineering requirements.In this study,the bio-based polyurethane(PU)modified resin was adopted to modify the pure bisphenol-A epoxy by blending method with various proportions.Aiming to illuminate the curing behavior,mechanical and thermal properties,the blended epoxy systems were characterized by viscosity-time analysis,dynamic mechanical analysis(DMA)at different frequencies and temperatures,mechanical tensile test,thermogravimetric analysis(TGA)and Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR)spectroscopy.The results indicated that the introduction of PU modified epoxy was found to significantly inhibit the viscosity growth rates especially when the content of PU modified epoxy resin is higher than 60%.Notwithstanding the dynamic modulus and T_(g)reduced with the increment of PU modified epoxy,remarkable increment on the elongation at break was found and the flexibility was greatly promoted with the introduction of PU modified epoxy.The proportion of PU modified epoxy in the blends should be put balance considerations to obtain optimal mechanical properties.TGA results and FTIR spectrum demonstrated that the addition of PU modified epoxy did not change the thermal decomposition mechanism and chemical reaction mechanism,but the addition of PU modified epoxy inhibits the curing reaction of epoxy resin by measured and calculated the damping temperature domainT from 35.7℃ to 48.9℃. 展开更多

New information and communication technologies(ICT)are being applied in various industries to upgrade the value of the major service items.Moreover,data collection,storage,processing,and security applications have led to the creation of an interrelated ICT environment in which one industry can directly influence the other.This is called the“internet of blended environ-ments”(IoBE),as it is an interrelated data environment based on internet-of-things collection activities.In this environment,security incidents may increase as size and interconnectivity of attackable operations grow.Consequently,pre-emptive responses to combined security threats are needed to securely utilize IoBE across industries.For example,the medical industry has more stringent information protection measures than other industries.Consequently,it has become a major target of attackers,as more clinician–patient interactions occur over the internet owing to COVID-19.Therefore,this study aims to acquire security for IoBE while focusing on the medical industry.Among the various types of medical ICT services,this study analyzes dataflow and potential security threats from the e-prescription lifecycle perspective,which is highly utilized,strongly data-centric,and has numerous security issues.Based on our analysis,we propose a secure authentication and data-sharing scheme. 展开更多

ABS is an active safety system which showed a valuable contribution to vehicle safety and stability since it was first introduced. Recently, EVs with in-wheel-motors have drawn increasing attention owing to their greatest advantages. Wheels torques are precisely and swiftly controlled thanks to electric motors and their advanced driving techniques. In this paper, a regenerative-ABS control RABS is proposed for all-in-wheel-motors-drive EVs. The RABS is realized as a pure electronic braking system called brake-by-wire. A coordination strategy is suggested to control RABS compromising three layers. First, wheels slip control takes place, and braking torque is calculated in the higher layer. In the coordinate interlayer, torque is allocated between actuators ensuring maximal energy recovery and vehicle stability. While in the lower layer, actuator control is performed. The RABS effectiveness is validated on a 3-DOF EVSimulink model through two straight-line braking manoeuvres with low and high initial speeds of 50 km/h and 150 km/h, respectively. Both regular and emergency braking manoeuvres are considered with ABS enabled and disabled for comparison. Simulation results showed the high performance of the proposed RABS control in terms of vehicle stability, brake response, stopping distance, and battery re-charging. 展开更多

The Impact of an AI-Empowered Blended Teaching Model on Chinese EFL Students:A Case Study of Superstar Learning Platform 被引量:1

While artificial intelligence(AI)shows promise in education,its real-world effectiveness in specific settings like blended English as a Foreign Language(EFL)learning needs closer examination.This study investigated the impact of a blended teaching model incorporating AI tools on the Superstar Learning Platform for Chinese university EFL students.Using a mixed-methods approach,60 first-year students were randomized into an experimental group(using the AI-enhanced model)and a control group(traditional instruction)for 16 weeks.Data included test scores,learning behaviors(duration,task completion),satisfaction surveys,and interviews.Results showed the experimental group significantly outperformed the control group on post-tests and achieved larger learning gains.These students also demonstrated greater engagement through longer study times and higher task completion rates,and reported significantly higher satisfaction.Interviews confirmed these findings,with students attributing benefits to the model’s personalized guidance,structured content presentation(knowledge graphs),immediate responses,flexibility,and varied interaction methods.However,limitations were noted,including areas where the platform’s AI could be improved(e.g.,for assessing speaking/translation)and ongoing challenges with student self-discipline.The study concludes that this AI-enhanced blended model significantly improved student performance,engagement,and satisfaction in this EFL context.The findings offer practical insights for educators and platform developers,suggesting AI integration holds significant potential while highlighting areas for refinement. 展开更多

Optimizing rice productivity using controlled-release blended fertilizers in the Yangtze River Delta of China

Rice productivity faces critical sustainability challenges from stagnating yields and inefficient fertilizer use,particularly in intensive agricultural regions like the Yangtze River Delta(YRD)of China.Controlled-release blended fertilizers(CRBF),which synchronize nutrient release with crop demand,represent a promising strategy to enhance rice productivity.Here,we conducted an eight-year(2017–2024)field study across 25 representative sites in the YRD to evaluate CRBF’s effects,complemented by a regional extrapolation analysis.Our findings showed that,relative to conventional fertilization,CRBF increased rice yield by 4.9%,primarily by increasing the number of effective panicles(5%)and plant biomass(5.2%–11.3%).Notably,this yield benefit rose to 5.3%when CRBF was applied via deep placement,which was attributed to greater root biomass(13.1%–29.2%)and higher soil NH_(4)^(+)-N availability(24.3%–43.6%),thereby enhancing N uptake.Furthermore,initial soil organic matter was identified as the predominant modulator of CRBF effectiveness.Regional extrapolation projected that applying CRBF could enhance rice yield by 4.0%across the YRD,with deep placement providing an additional 2.1%gain.In conclusion,our study demonstrates that adopting CRBF,particularly with deep placement,is a robust and effective strategy to sustainably boost rice productivity in intensive rice cultivation systems. 展开更多

One-time application of controlled-release blended fertilizer(CRBF,a mixture of five nitrogen(N)fertilizers in a certain ratio)can achieve high yield and N use efficiency(NUE)in rice(Oryza sativa L.).However,the effects of CRBF with one-time application on root spatial distribution and physiological characteristics remain unclear.We measured the effects of CRBF with one-time application on rice yield,NUE,root morphology and growth,and N uptake capacity in field and root box experiments.Six N treatments were set up:no nitrogen(N0),high-yield three-split application of urea as a control(CK),urea(U)with broadcast,U with side-deep fertilization,CRBF with broadcast,and CRBF with side-deep fertilization.Our findings showed that root characters were positively correlated with yield and NUE.Compared to CK and U treatments,CRBF with one-time applications increased root characters(including root biomass,root N uptake,root activity,and the expression level of ammonium transporters)at tillering and heading stages.The root length,surface area and volume in the 0-10 cm soil layer enhanced under CRBF with one-time applications at tillering stage,and in the 0-20 cm soil layer at the heading stage.This contributed a5.96%-39.40% and 3.69%-16.87% increase in plant dry matter accumulation and N uptake,and a2.08%-18.28% and 14.60%-149.57% increase in yield and NUE,in 2022 and 2023,respectively.Taken together,our findings showed that one-time application of CRBF could increase rice yield and NUE by optimizing the root morphology distribution and N uptake. 展开更多

Student engagement in learning is a concern for teachers in the implementation of blended learning,which reflects the effectiveness of the pedagogical measures taken by teachers.Blended learning encompasses traditional blended,blended online,and blended synchronous,which combine synchronous and asynchronous teaching and learning activities.This paper adopts an inductive approach to investigate and analyse students‘engagement in learning from three dimensions:behavioural,affective and cognitive,specifically focusing on three meta-categories,namely,course structure and arrangement,choice of teaching and learning activities,and teacher’s role in relation to the course,to investigate the teaching of teachers of different disciplines in three vocational colleges and to analyse the pedagogical strategies that the teachers use in order to improve students’engagement in blended learning.The findings suggest that communicating about the course at the beginning of the semester,clarifying course requirements,and building a trusting relationship with students play a key role in increasing student engagement in blended learning,and that the use of digital tools is an important means of promoting students’behavioural and emotional active participation in learning. 展开更多

The use of blended acquisition technology in marine seismic exploration has the advantages of high acquisition efficiency and low exploration costs.However,during acquisition,the primary source may be disturbed by adjacent sources,resulting in blended noise that can adversely affect data processing and interpretation.Therefore,the de-blending method is needed to suppress blended noise and improve the quality of subsequent processing.Conventional de-blending methods,such as denoising and inversion methods,encounter challenges in parameter selection and entail high computational costs.In contrast,deep learning-based de-blending methods demonstrate reduced reliance on manual intervention and provide rapid calculation speeds post-training.In this study,we propose a Uformer network using a nonoverlapping window multihead attention mechanism designed for de-blending blended data in the common shot domain.We add the depthwise convolution to the feedforward network to improve Uformer’s ability to capture local context information.The loss function comprises SSIM and L1 loss.Our test results indicate that the Uformer outperforms convolutional neural networks and traditional denoising methods across various evaluation metrics,thus highlighting the effectiveness and advantages of Uformer in de-blending blended data. 展开更多
