Thus, the Stark energy-levels of Pr3+ ions doped separately in LiYF4 and LiBiF4 crystals are calculated, and our calculations imply that the complete energy matrix method can be used as an effective tool to calculate the energy-levels of the systems doped by rare earth ions. Besides, the influence of Pr3+ on energy-level splitting is investigated, and the similarities and the differences between the two doped crystals are demonstrated in detail by comparing their several pairs of curves and crystal field strength quantities. We see that the energy splitting patterns are similar and the crystal field interaction of LiYF4:Pr3+ is stronger than that of LiBiF4:Pr3+.展开更多

The Ak as the reduced matrix elements can serve as a reliable measure of the state capability for the splitting produced by the k-rank component of the crystal-field Hamiltonian. These multipolar characteristics allow one to verify any fitted crystal-field parameter set by comparing the calculated second moments and the experimental ones of the relevant crystal-field splittings. We present the multipole characteristics Ak for the extensive set of eigenstates from the lower parts of energy spectra of the tripositive 4 f N ions applying in the calculations the improved eigenfunctions of the free lanthanide ions obtained based on the M. Reid f-shell programs. Such amended asphericities are compared with those achieved for the simplified Russell-Saunders states. Next, they are classified with respect to the absolute or relative weight of Ak in the multipole structure of the considered states. For the majority of the analyzed states (about 80%) the Ak variation is of order of only a few percent. Some essential changes are found primarily for several states of Tm3+, Er3+, Nd3+, and Pr3+ ions. The detailed mechanisms of such Ak changes are unveiled. Particularly, certain noteworthy cancelations as well as enhancements of their magnitudes are explained.展开更多

Results sho w that low concentration (0.05~1.5 mg·L -1) increases rice yield an d grain numbers. High concentration depresses grain formation (9~30 mg·L -1 ) and root elongation (1.5~30 mg·L -1). No significant influence on str aw dry weight was found over the whole concentration range except the 0.05 mg·L -1 treatment. With the increase of La concentration from 0.05 to 0.75 mg· L -1, catalase (CAT) activity in the first fully expandeing leaves and root s decreases. When La concentration is greater than 0.75 mg·L -1 or less than 9 mg·L -1, it significantly decreases superoxide dismutase activity ( SOD) in the leaves and roots. No significant effects were found on chlorophyll, protein and malondialdehyde (MDA) content. Possible mechanisms of La′s promotin g effect on rice growth and reduction effect of ·O- 2 were discussed.展开更多
