Why? The main reason should be the difference in their graphitization during the eutectic solidification. In this paper, we discuss the difference in the solidification mechanism of both cast irons for solving these problems using unidirectional solidification and the cooling curves of the spheroidal graphite cast iron. The eutectic solidification rate of the SG cast iron is controlled by the diffusion of carbon through the austenite shell, and the final thickness is 1.4 times the radius of the SG, therefore, the reduction of the SG size, namely, the increase in the number, is the main solution of these problems.展开更多

The orebodies were surrounded by the Qiziqiao Formation limestone in the Middle Devonian, and its geological occurrence is consistent with the wall rocks. A large number of spheroidal pyrite aggregates are found unevenly distributed in the ores. The spheroidal aggregates are made up of kernels and concentric rings. The kernels are composed of approximately epigranular pyrite nanocrystals, while the rings are composed of accumulated pyrite microcrystals growing along the radial direction. The spheroidal pyrite aggregate and its outer zones can be divided into five areas(A–E). The results of electron probe micro analysis(EPMA) show that from the zone A1 to B, Co/Ni 〈1, the sum of Co and Ni is 0.08%–0.26%, S/Fe increases from 2.06 to 2.15. While from the zone C to E, Ni cannot be detected and S/Fe decreases from 2.22 to 2.08. Powder X-ray diffraction(XRD) analysis in the micro zone shows obvious crystalline characteristics in the aggregates. Moving from the inside outwards, the maximum diffraction peak intensity of the(111) and(220) crystal planes of pyrite increases, and the crystallinity improves. The degree of change in the(111) plane is the most prominent. Considering the theory of crystal growth along with the geologic features of the depositional environment where the spheroidal pyrite aggregates developed, we confirm that the spheroidal aggregates are the result of nano-micro crystalline gathering and growth occurring by the following sequence of processes:nano-crystalline nucleation and growth, gathering into a ball, oriented growth of microcrystals, continuous accumulation, and adjustment of grain boundaries. The formation of the spheroidal pyrite aggregates in the late Qiziqiao Formation of the Middle Devonian occurred in a neutral to weak alkaline and reductive sedimentary environment in the normal oxygen-rich shallowwater carbonate platform edge. The variations in the S/Fe ratio and crystallisation characteristics indicate that during pyrite crystal growth, the sulphur fugacity was high locally and rose constantly, the degree of supersaturation decreased locally and the growth environment was stable relatively.展开更多

The phase and morphology of worn surfaces were examined by X ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. Results show that with an increase of load, wear rate of spheroidal graphite cast iron gradually increases under low loads, rapidly increases or potentially increases under high loads; wear rate increases with in- creasing ambient temperature. At 25 200 ℃, adhesive wear prevails; oxidative wear and adhesive wear coexist at 400 ℃. As load surpasses 150 N at 400 ℃, extrusive wear appears. The elevated-temperature wear of spheroidal graphite cast iron is a physical and chemical process including the following reactions: xFe+y/2O2-FexOy , 2C+ O2- 2CO and Fex Oy +yCO-xFe+yCO2. Hence, at 400 ℃, the amount of graphite and tribo oxides are substan- tially reduced because of reductive function of graphite. It can be suggested that wear reduced effect of graphite and tribo-oxides is impaired.展开更多

Only the datasets of Dove and Forbes published in the 1850s provided global averages below 〈T〉=14°C, mainly due to the poor coverage of the Southern Hemisphere by observations during that time. The global averages derived from the distributions of normal temperatures published between 1877 and 1913 ranged from 〈T〉=14.0°C (Batchelder) to 〈T〉=15.1°C (Ferrel). The differences between the global and the spheroidal mean near-surface air temperature are marginal. To examine the uncertainty due to interannual variability and different years considered in the historic zonal mean temperature distributions, the historical normal temperatures were perturbed within ±2σ to obtain ensembles of 50 realizations for each dataset. Numerical integrations of the perturbed distributions indicate uncertainties in the global averages in the range of ±0.3°C to ±0.6°C and depended on the number of available normal temperatures. Compared to our results, the global mean temperature of 〈T〉=15.0°C published by von Hann in 1897 and von Bezold in 1901 and 1906 is notably too high, while 〈T〉=14.4°C published by von Hann in 1908 seems to be more adequate within the range of uncertainty. The HadCRUT4 record provided 〈T〉≌?13.7°C for 1851-1880 and 〈T〉=13.6°C for 1881-1910. The Berkeley record provided 〈T〉=13.6°C and 〈T〉≌?13.5°C for these periods, respectively. The NASA GISS record yielded 〈T〉=13.6°C for 1881-1910 as well. These results are notably lower than those based on the historic zonal means. For 1991-2018, the HadCRUT4, Berkeley, and NASA GISS records provided 〈T〉=14.4°C, 〈T〉=14.5°C, and 〈T〉=14.5°C, respectively. The comparison of the 1991-2018 globally averaged near-surface temperature with those derived from distributions of zonal temperature averages for numerous parallels of latitude suggests no change for the past 100 years.展开更多

The first-five terms of the superpotential in the series of parameter β are given. The general form for the n-th term of the superpotential is also obtained, which could also be derived from the previous terms Wk, k 〈 n. From these results, it is easy to obtain the ground eigenfunction of the equation. Furthermore, the shape-invariance property in the series of parameter β is investigated and is proven to be kept. This nice property guarantees that the excited eigenfunctions in the series form can be obtained from the ground eigenfunction by using the method from the supersymmetric quantum mechanics. We show the perturbation method in supersymmetric quantum mechanics could completely solve the spin-weight spheroidal wave equations in the series form of the small parameter β.展开更多

To deduce the mesh anisotropy of cellular automaton method, the composition averaging and geometrical parameter were introduced to simulate the spheroidal graphite growth. Solute balance method and decentered square algorithms were employed to simulate austenite dendrites growth with different crystallographic orientations. The simulated results indicate that the graphite nodule grows in a spherical morphology when the surrounding environment of a single graphite nodule is same. However, for two adjacent graphite nodules, the environment is different. The higher the carbon concentration, the faster the growth of graphite. By comparison with experimental results, it is found that the microstructure evolution of near eutectic spheroidal graphite cast iron during solidification process can be reproduced quantitatively by numerical simulation with this model.展开更多

We first obtain the first four terms of super-potential of the spin-weighted spheroidal wave equation in the case of s : 1. These results may help summarize the general form for the n-th term of the super-potential, which is proved to be correct by means of induction. Then we compute the eigen-values and the eigenfunctions for the ground state. 文摘This paper reviews the original work of the authors published recently, describing the influence of B on the matrix of the Cuadded spheroidal graphite cast iron. The effect of Cu has been corrected as a ferrite formation promoter in the matrix of the grey cast iron by the usage of high-purity material. Also, this paper focuses on the ferrite formation and the observation of the Cu distribution in the B-added and B-free Cu-containing spheroidal graphite cast iron. The Cu film on the spheroidal graphite can be successfully observed in the B-free sample using a special etching method. However,in the B-added sample,no Cu film could be found, while the secondary graphite was formed on the surface of the spheroidal graphite. The interaction between B and Cu is stressed as a peculiar phenomenon by the employment of a contrast experiment of B and Mn.The heat treatment could make Cu precipitate more significantly in the eutectic cells and in the matrix in the form of large Cu particles because of the limited solubility of Cu.

文摘The effects of metallurgical and processing parameters on the formation of shrinkage cavities and porosities in spheroidal graphite cast iron have been studied, considering the parameters of carbon equivalent, inoculation, casting modulus, mold type (green or dry) and pouring temperature within specific ranges of these variables. Based on the orthogonal experiments, the metallurgical and processing parameters of the minimum casting shrinkage and the maximum casting shrinkage were obtained, and the effects of metallurgical and processing parameters on the formation of shrinkage cavities and porosities in spheroids graphite cast iron castings were discussed. Finally, two regression equations relating these variables to the formation of shrinkage porosity were derived based upon the orthogonal experiments conducted.

文摘The real pores in digital cores were simplified into three abstractive types, including prolate ellipsoids, oblate ellipsoids and spheroids. The three-dimensional spheroidal-pore model of digital core was established based on mesoscopic mechanical theory. The constitutive relationship of different types of pore microstructure deformation was studied with Eshelby equivalent medium theory, and the effects of pore microstructure on pore volume compressibility under elastic deformation conditions of single and multiple pores of a single type and mixed types of pores were investigated. The results showed that the pore volume compressibility coefficient of digital core is closely related with porosity, pore aspect ratio and volumetric proportions of different types of pores.(1)The compressibility coefficient of prolate ellipsoidal pore is positively correlated with the pore aspect ratio, while that of oblate ellipsoidal pore is negatively correlated with the pore aspect ratio.(2)At the same mean value of pore aspect ratio satisfying Gaussian distribution, the more concentrated the range of pore aspect ratio, the higher the compressibility coefficient of both prolate and oblate ellipsoidal pores will be,and the larger the deformation under the same stress condition.(3)The pore compressibility coefficient increases with porosity.(4)At a constant porosity value, the higher the proportion of oblate ellipsoidal and spherical pores in the rock, the more easier for the rock to deform, and the higher the compressibility coefficient of the rock is,while the higher the proportion of prolate ellipsoidal pores in the rock, the more difficult it is for rock to deform, and the lower the compressibility coefficient of the rock is.By calculating pore compressibility coefficient of ten classical digital rock samples, the presented analytical elliptical-pore model based on real pore structure of digital rocks can be applied to calculation of pore volume compressibility coefficient of digital rock sample.

文摘The traditional spheroidal kernel results in the spectrum leakage, and the utilization rate of the removed degrees of the measured data is low.Hence,a kind of spheroidal kernel whose high-and low-degrees are both modified is introduced in this research, which is exampled by the Hotine kernel. In addition, the low-degree modified spheroidal kernel is proposed.Either cosine or linear modification factors can be utilized. The modified kernel functions can effectively control the spectrum leakage compared with the traditional spheroidal kernel.Furthermore, the modified kernel augments the contribution rate of the measured data to height anomaly in the modified frequency domain. The experimental results show that the accuracy of the quasi-geoid by the cosine or linear low-degree modified kernel is higher than that by the traditional spheroidal kernel. And the accuracy equals the accuracy of the quasi-geoid using the spheroidal kernel with high-and low-degrees modified approximately when the low-degree modification bandwidths of these two kinds of kernels are the same.Since the computational efficiency of the low-degree modified kernel is much higher, the low-degree modified kernel behaves better in constructing the(quasi-)geoid based on Stokes-Helmert or Hotine-Helmert boundary-value theory.

文摘The numerical simulation can overcome the hardship of mathematical analysis and experimental research, explicate the mechanism of microstructure shaping, predict mechanical properties and operating life of castings and then optimize technology and control microstructure formation to obtain the qualified castings. The finite difference method (FDM) is applied to the simulation of temperature field based on all kinds of nucleation and growth models on all stages of solidification of spheroidal graphite cast iron. Visual C++ is used to program the numerical simulation software, QTstructure-1 to simulate the solidification process of spheroidal graphite cast iron and the formation of all phases in solidification process. Finally, the result of simulation is well agreed with the experimental result.
文摘The zonal averages of temperature (the so-called normal temperatures) for numerous parallels of latitude published between 1852 and 1913 by Dove, Forbes, Ferrel, Spitaler, Batchelder, Arrhenius, von Bezold, Hopfner, von Hann, and Börnstein were used to quantify the global (spherical) and spheroidal mean near-surface temperature of the terrestrial atmosphere. The comparison of the 1991-2018 globally averaged near-surface temperature with those derived from distributions of zonal temperature averages for numerous parallels of latitude suggests no change for the past 100 years.

文摘The spin-weighted spheroidal equation in the case of s = 1/2 is thoroughly studied by using the perturbation method from the supersymmetric quantum mechanics. We show the perturbation method in supersymmetric quantum mechanics could completely solve the spin-weight spheroidal wave equations in the series form of the small parameter β.
文摘To study the growth of austenitic shells around the spheroidal graphite, color metallography has been employed. It is found that the shell is not a continuous layer of austenite, but a clus- ter of wedge-shaped crystals.Three types of shells have been observed. That may strongly af- fect the deterioration of the spheroidal graphite. The mechanism of the formation of the austenitic shells has also been discussed.

文摘A multiphase cellular automaton model was developed to simulate microstructure evolution of near eutectic spheroidal graphite cast iron(SGI) during its solidification process, and both dendritic austenite and spheroidal graphite growth models were adopted. By comparison with experimental results, it is found that the microstructure evolution of near eutectic spheroidal graphite cast iron during solidification process can be reproduced quantitatively by numerical simulation with this model.

文摘We present a series of studies to solve the spin-weighted spheroidal wave equation by using the method of supersymmetric quantum mechanics. Finally, the shape-invariance property is proved and the eigen-values and eigen-functions for excited states are obtained. All the results may be of significance for studying the electromagnetic radiation processes near rotating black holes and computing the radiation reaction in curved space-time.
