Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Scenario-Based Participatory Teaching in Cardiothoracic Surgery Nursing Education

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy of scenario-based participatory teaching methods in thoracic surgery nursing education.Methods:Sixty undergraduate nursing students were randomly assigned to two groups:a traditional teaching group and a scenario-based participatory teaching group,with 30 students each.The teaching outcomes of both groups were assessed.Results:The clinical reasoning assessment scores of the scenario-based participatory teaching group were significantly higher than those of the traditional group(P<0.05).Additionally,the scenario group demonstrated higher satisfaction levels,superior theoretical and practical skills,improved patient education effectiveness during admission and discharge,and enhanced emergency response coordination(P<0.05).Conclusion:Scenario-based participatory teaching effectively enhances the comprehensive competencies of nursing students in thoracic surgery,demonstrating favorable educational outcomes. 展开更多

Objective:Skill competence is essential for nursing students and experiential teaching method has become increasingly popular in China’s nursing education.To systematically evaluate the effects of experiential teaching method on the development of nursing students’skill competence,and to provide evidence for nursing education.Methods:The China National Knowledge Infrastructure,VIP,Wanfang Data,PubMed,and Web of Science databases were searched from their inception until November 28,2019.We screened the studies according to inclusion and exclusion criteria,extracted the data,and assessed the quality.Then,a meta-analysis was conducted.Results:Totally 15 studies were included,and 1,633 nursing students were analyzed by Review Manager5.3 and Stata15.1 software.The results show that the experiential teaching method can significantly improve nursing students’nursing skills such as training(SMD=1.05,95%CI:0.95–1.16,P=0.000),learning interest(ES=0.93,95%CI:0.79–1.06),ability to analyze and solve problems(ES=0.75,95%CI:0.55–0.94),ability to judge and innovative thinking(ES=1.01,95%CI:0.77–1.25),abilities of understanding and perception(ES=0.59,95%CI:0.34–0.83),and teaching satisfaction(ES=1.26,95%CI:1.13–1.4).Conclusions:The results suggest that the experiential teaching method is more effective for the nursing students’skill competence than traditional teaching in China.However,due to the heterogeneity and bias risk,a large sample and high-quality studies are needed in future to confirm its effectiveness. 展开更多

At present, the traditional teaching method has been difficult to meet the secondary music education needs, in the process of practical teaching, teachers need to combined with the actual situation to adopt new teaching mode, to guide students, and the experience type teaching method into the order of music teaching, which can improve the overall teaching effect, so as to achieve better education purpose. In language teaching,the development of writing skills is an important and challenging teaching task.Writing performance is not only related to the vocabulary and syntax that students usually accumulate,but also involves richness in terms of content,which is related to students'experience and perception of context.Descriptive essays are one of the writing genres that include specific understanding and perception of space,time,and context.However,in traditional writing instruction,students usually do not have the opportunity to have a deeper sense of the context of the topic.As a result,students usually have limited expression in the writing process.Therefore,this study explores the application of experiential teaching method in teaching writing in elementary schools by taking the"underwater world"as an example.Based on this,an SVVR learning system was developed and a quasi-experiment was conducted in an elementary school writing classroom to compare the learning effects of this method with those of traditional teaching methods.The results of the study showed that the SVVR-supported experiential teaching method could improve students'writing performance as well as their sense of self-efficacy and self-efficacy. 展开更多

Although some colleges and universities in China have a long history in Japanese teaching, many teachers have been using the past teaching mode, and the knowledge points have not been updated for a long time. The teaching content is seriously out of line with the needs of modern society, which is the main reason for the delayed development of Japanese teaching. Objective:To explore the application effectiveness of the“Six-Step”Scenario-Based Teaching Method in operating room nursing education.Methods:Seventy nursing students undergoing clinical training in the operating room of a certain hospital from January 2024 to June 2025 were selected.They were randomly divided into an observation group(n=35)and a control group(n=35)using a random number table.The control group received traditional“mentor-apprentice”on-the-job training,while the observation group underwent the“six-step”scenario-based teaching method.The two groups were compared on final assessment scores,comprehensive competency,surgical nursing emergency response ability,and teaching satisfaction indicators.Results:The observation group achieved significantly higher final assessment scores(85.54±5.05)than the control group(78.63±4.75);After instruction,the observation group scored significantly higher than the control group in:mastery of basic duties and procedures(4.22±0.30 vs.3.98±0.30),understanding of surgical nursing essentials(4.39±0.19 vs.3.98±0.30),proficiency in surgical assistance(4.11±0.33 vs.3.98±0.30),aseptic awareness(4.32±0.24 vs.3.98±0.30),risk awareness(4.22±0.17 vs.3.98±0.30),and occupational safety awareness(4.01±0.23 vs.3.98±0.30).(4.01±0.23),which were significantly higher than the control group’s scores(3.36±0.28),(3.14±0.27),(3.29±0.24),(3.53±0.36),(3.17±0.25),and(3.51±0.18),respectively.Students in the observation group scored significantly higher than the control group in emergency hands-on skills(24.53±1.85 points),surgical coordination skills(27.65±1.87 points),emergency coordination skills(25.34±1.83 points),and patient condition observation skills(24.34±1.79 points)were significantly higher than those of the control group(20.78±1.74 points,26.31±1.95 points,22.92±1.69 points,and 21.58±1.77 points,respectively).The satisfaction rate with operating room nursing education among students in the observation group(97.00%)was significantly higher than that in the control group(77.00%).All differences were statistically significant(p<0.05).Conclusion:The“Six-Step”Scenario-Based Teaching Method effectively enhances operating room students’mastery of theoretical knowledge,practical skills,and core comprehensive abilities,while significantly improving their teaching satisfaction.It warrants promotion and application in operating room nursing education. 展开更多

Teaching target culture has been widely acknowledged as an indispensible component in the overall foreign language education. This paper presents a feasible way to effectively integrate cultural teaching into traditional classroom instruction by using Moran's theoretical frameworks, namely, the "Cultural Knowings Framework" and "Experiential Learning Cycle", as the foundation and guidance of the course design. It highlights the combination of teaching culture with the training of the basic language skills, adding a cultural dimension to the language learning. This teaching method can fully arouse the students' attention to cultural learning and provide more meaningful activities to physically and mentally engage students both in class and after class. By going through a series of assigned tasks individually or collectively, the students not only obtain the desired cultural knowledge but strengthen their language ability as well as other skills pivotal and necessary for becoming independent and lifetime learners. 展开更多

目的探讨基于内化理论的体验式教学在护理人文课程(护理人文学)中的应用效果。方法设计基于内化理论的体验式教学,主要步骤包括确定开展体验式教学的教学主题、内容与安排,教学实施设计,打造教学资源库。选取该校2018级护理专业269名学... 目的探讨基于内化理论的体验式教学在护理人文课程(护理人文学)中的应用效果。方法设计基于内化理论的体验式教学,主要步骤包括确定开展体验式教学的教学主题、内容与安排,教学实施设计,打造教学资源库。选取该校2018级护理专业269名学生为对照组,对其实施常规教学;选取该校2022级护理专业157名学生为试验组,对其实施“知行启航(基础层)—知行淬炼(转化层)—知行合一(升华层)”的体验式教学。课程结束后,通过自制调查表了解试验组对护理人文课程的满意度;分别采用人文关怀能力量表、情绪体验范围和区分性量表评估两组的人文关怀能力及情绪觉察能力。结果课程结束后,试验组中94.9%(149/157)对护理人文课程的总体评价为“非常满意/满意”;试验组人文关怀能力中的耐心维度得分(t=2.177,P=0.030)高于对照组,情绪觉察能力中的情绪广度维度得分高于对照组(t=3.421,P=0.001)。结论基于内化理论的体验式教学在护理人文课程中的应用取得了较好的效果,在一定程度上有助于提升学生的人文素养,激发其学习兴趣,增进其学习体验。 展开更多
