AIM:To conduct a systematic review and Meta-analysis to determine the differential effects of combined lutein and zeaxanthin supplementation on myopia prevention in teenagers.It also investigates the effects of supple...AIM:To conduct a systematic review and Meta-analysis to determine the differential effects of combined lutein and zeaxanthin supplementation on myopia prevention in teenagers.It also investigates the effects of supplements dosage,intervention duration,and geographical variation on intervention results.METHODS:A systematic search and screening of randomized controlled trials(RCTs)completed between 2014 and 2023 was undertaken using the PubMed,EMBASE,Cochrane Library,and Web of Science databases,in accordance with the PRISMA recommendations.The Cochrane risk of bias method was used to assess the quality of the studies.A Meta-analysis was performed using Stata 17.0 to calculate standardized mean differences(SMDs)and 95%confidence intervals(CIs).Subgroup analyses were performed to look at the effects of different doses,intervention periods,and geographic areas.Additionally,publication bias was assessed using Egger’s test.RESULTS:Ten studies including 1035 participants with myopia were analyzed.Supplementation with lutein and zeaxanthin resulted in a significant reduction in axial length elongation among adolescents in the intervention group(SMD=-0.40,P=0.001),an increase in macular pigment optical density(SMD=0.50,P=0.010),and an enhancement in visual sensitivity(SMD=0.53,P=0.008).Subgroup analyses revealed that participants receiving high doses and those undergoing intervention for more than 12mo exhibited significantly improved outcomes compared to those in the low-dose and short-term groups(high-dose vs low-dose:SMD=-0.41 vs-0.22,P=0.003;>12mo vs 6-12mo:SMD=-0.43 vs-0.23,P=0.004,respectively).Furthermore,Egger’s test indicated no significant publication bias(P=0.094).CONCLUSION:Combined lutein and zeaxanthin supplementation has a significant effect on myopia prevention in adolescents,with more pronounced benefits observed in high-dose and long-term interventions.The findings provide scientific evidence for its use as an adjunctive approach in myopia control.展开更多

Two PM techniques, periodic PM and sequential PM, are considered. Whenever one of the units reaches its reliability threshold, a PM action has to be performed on that unit. At that time the whole system has to be stopped and PM opportunities arise for the other unitsof the system. An optimal PM practice is determined by maximizing the short-term cumulative opportunistic maintenance (OM) cost savings for the whole system. Numerical examples are given to show how this approach works. Finally, a comparison between the proposed PM policy and the other policies is given.展开更多

Conventional maintenance mode for the traction power supply system(TPSS)is to perform scheduled regular maintenance activities for power supply equipment,while such maintenance mode may result in undue maintenance tas...Conventional maintenance mode for the traction power supply system(TPSS)is to perform scheduled regular maintenance activities for power supply equipment,while such maintenance mode may result in undue maintenance tasks and low efficiency due to different degradation processes of different sorts of equipment.To address this problem,this paper introduces a preventive opportunistic maintenance(POM)method for TPSS based on equipment reliability.Firstly,a POM model is established by considering the equipment reliability degradation process based on Weibull distribution.Then,by considering the total power outage time in the planned operation cycle of TPSS as the optimization objective,the optimal maintenance scheme of TPSS is formulated by iterative method of maintenance strategies.The proposed method is verified by introducing practical maintenance strategies and fault record data of the traction transformer,circuit breaker and disconnector in an actual TPSS of a railway administration.Results show that the presented method can make full use of the existing fault data to develop a POM scheme for TPSS.It can improve maintenance efficiency and reduce power outage time,providing guidance to formulate scientific maintenance strategies for TPSS.展开更多
At present,the operation and maintenance of photovoltaic power generation systems mainly comprise regular maintenance,breakdown maintenance,and condition-based maintenance,which is very likely to lead to over-or under...At present,the operation and maintenance of photovoltaic power generation systems mainly comprise regular maintenance,breakdown maintenance,and condition-based maintenance,which is very likely to lead to over-or under-repair of equipment.Therefore,a preventive maintenance and replacement strategy for PV power generation systems based on reliability as a constraint is proposed.First,a hybrid failure function with a decreasing service age factor and an increasing failure rate factor is introduced to describe the deterioration of PV power generation equipment,and the equipment is replaced when its reliability drops to the replacement threshold in the last cycle.Then,based on the reliability as a constraint,the average maintenance cost and availability of the equipment are considered,and the non-periodic incomplete maintenance model of the PV power generation system is established to obtain the optimal number of repairs,each maintenance cycle and the replacement cycle of the PV power generation system components.Next,the inverter of a PV power plant is used as a research object.The model in this paper is compared and analyzed with the equal cycle maintenance model without considering reliability and the maintenance model without considering the equipment replacement threshold,Through model comparison,when the optimal maintenance strategy is(0.80,4),the average maintenance cost of this paper’s model are decreased by 20.3%and 5.54%and the availability is increased by 0.2395% and 0.0337%,respectively,compared with the equal-cycle maintenance model without considering the reliability constraint and the maintenance model without considering the equipment replacement threshold.Therefore,this maintenance model can ensure the high reliability of PV plant operation while increasing the equipment availability to improve the system economy.展开更多
The study aims to identify a suitable site for open and bore well in a farmhouseusing ground magnetic survey in south India.It also aims to define depth to granitoid and structural elements which traverse the selected...The study aims to identify a suitable site for open and bore well in a farmhouseusing ground magnetic survey in south India.It also aims to define depth to granitoid and structural elements which traverse the selected area.Magnetic data(n=84)measured,processed and interpreted as qualitative and quantitatively.The results of total magnetic intensities indicate that the area is composed of linear magnetic lows trending NE-SW direction and circular to semi-circular causative bodies.The magnetic values ranged from-137 nT to 2345 nT with a mean of 465 nT.Reduction to equator shows significant shifting of causative bodies in the southern and northern directions.Analytical signal map shows exact boundary of granitic bodies.Cosine directional filter has brought out structural element trending NE-SW direction.Results of individual profile brought to light structurally weak zone between 90 m and 100 m in all the profile lines.Sudden decrease of magnetic values from 2042 nT to 126 nT noticed in profile line 6 between 20 m and 30 m indicates fault occurrence.Magnetic breaks obtained from these maps were visualized,interpreted and identified two suitable sites for open and bore well.Radially averaged power spectrum estimates depth of shallow and deep sources in 5 m and 50 m,respectively.Euler method has also been applied to estimate depth of granitoid and structural elements using structural indexes 0,1,2,and 3 and found depth ranges from<10 m to>90 m.Study indicates magnetic method is one of the geophysical methods suitable for groundwater exploration and site selection for open and borewells.展开更多
Objective:This study aimed to explore more on contributing factors and prevention of overweight and obesity among Pacific islanders.Methods:Using Cochrane library guideline,four electronic databases,PubMed,Embase,Scop...Objective:This study aimed to explore more on contributing factors and prevention of overweight and obesity among Pacific islanders.Methods:Using Cochrane library guideline,four electronic databases,PubMed,Embase,Scopus and CINAHL,were systematically searched from 2010 to 2020.Search strategy included key concepts,free text terms,and database-controlled vocabulary terms to identify articles on determinants and preventative strategies of overweight and obesity in the Pacific countries.A data extraction sheet was developed to extract relevant information required for analysis and theme development for this study.Results:A total of 22 articles were summarized and categorized.Determinants of overweight and obesity identified two themes:environmental related factors 13.6%(3/22)and sociocultural related factors 27.3%(6/22).The preventative strategies of overweight and obesity was categorized into behavioural change 22.7%(5/22),school-related 18.2%(4/22),and policies 50%(11/22).The quality assessment of articles showed“Good”68.2%(15/22),and“Fair”31.8%(7/22).Conclusion:This study highlighted two contributing,non-medication factors affecting overweight and obesity are both environmental and socio-cultural issues.Overweight and obesity preventative strategies identified in the Pacific context considered behavioural change,knowledge enhancement,and policy development.Further research should aim at exploring the current preventative strategies in-depth,to appreciate the most feasible and recommended preventative approach within the Pacific society.展开更多

Finally, the verification of the final optimal objectives and satisfied constraints are enforcedin the last stage. Furthermore, the proposed strategy is a general framework that can combine other optimizationalgorithms. The integration of a large number of power electronic converters,such as railway power conditioner(RPC),introduces a series of problems,including harmonic interaction,stability issues,and wideband resonance,into the r...The integration of a large number of power electronic converters,such as railway power conditioner(RPC),introduces a series of problems,including harmonic interaction,stability issues,and wideband resonance,into the railway power supply system.To address these challenges,this paper proposes a novel harmonic resonance prevention measure for RPC-network-train interaction system.Firstly,a harmonic model,a parallel resonance impedance model,a series resonance admittance model,and a control stability model are each established for the RPC-network-train interaction system.Secondly,a comprehensive resonance impact factor(CRIF)is proposed to efficiently and accurately identify the key components affecting resonance,and to provide the selection results of optimization parameters for resonance prevention.Next,the initially selected parameters are constrained by the requirements of ripple current,reactive power and stability.Subsequently,the impedance parameters(control parameters and filter parameters)of the RPC are optimized with the objective of reshaping the parallel resonance impedance and series resonance admittance of the RPC-network-train interaction system,ensuring the output current har-monics of RPC meet standards to achieve resonance prevention,while ensuring the stable operation of the RPC.Finally,the proposed resonance prevention measure is verified under both light load and heavy load conditions using a simulation platform and a hardware-in-the-loop experimental platform.展开更多

Objective:Several therapeutic modalities for the prevention of calcium oxalate(CaOx)stones have been studied,but only a select few of these modalities have been incorporated into the American Urological Association gu...Objective:Several therapeutic modalities for the prevention of calcium oxalate(CaOx)stones have been studied,but only a select few of these modalities have been incorporated into the American Urological Association guidelines.Our study aimed to organize and interrogate existing research that may be promising for CaOx prevention.Methods:A literature search was conducted using MEDLINE and Embase from inception to November 16,2022.Our study population included adults with or without a history of CaOx kidney stones.Studies in which patients were treated with pharmacotherapies,herbal supplements,or uncategorized research chemicals that are not included in the current American Urological Association guidelines for preventing CaOx stones were included.Nonoriginal research was excluded.Results:Out of the 6155 identified articles,38 were included in the final analysis.The five distinct categories of interventions for stone prevention were“medications”,“herbal supplements”,“food and macronutrients”,“micronutrients”,and“enzymes and probiotics”.Modalities that were found to reduce known urinary risk factors were tolvaptan,cranberry juice,magnesium citrate,oxalate-degrading enzyme ALLN-177,and malic acid.Prophylaxis that reduced stone formation were sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors,eicosapentaenoic acid,ethane-1-hydroxy-1,1-disphosphonate.Therapies that reduced urinary risk factors and stone formation were Phyllanthus niruri,rice bran,and magnesium hydroxide.Conclusion:Several of the identified therapies may provide prophylactic benefits for CaOx stone formation and may be useful for inclusion in guidelines for kidney stone prevention.展开更多

Objective:To identify the efficacy of Wolbachia-based intervention by reviewing community-based trials through meta-analysis and systematic review methods.Methods:Studies about Wolbachia-infected mosquito intervention...Objective:To identify the efficacy of Wolbachia-based intervention by reviewing community-based trials through meta-analysis and systematic review methods.Methods:Studies about Wolbachia-infected mosquito intervention were collected through a screening process.Records underwent data extraction and quality assessment independently by the authors.The primary outcome of the study was protective efficacy.Quantitative analysis was conducted through meta-analysis and multivariate meta-regression using Rstudio Ver.2024.09.0-375.Qualitative analysis was done by summarizing records’findings.Results:10 out of the 10660 records met the criteria.The evidence was moderate in quality and highly heterogeneous.Intervention consisted of releasing Wolbachia-infected Aedes aegypti in densely populated settlements.The combined protective efficacy of Wolbachia intervention against dengue is highly heterogeneous(79%;95%CI 70-88;I^(2)=98%).wMel strain is significantly more efficacious compared to wAlbB(protective efficacy 84%;95%CI 76-93;I^(2)=95%)vs.64%(95%CI 46-82;I^(2)=85%);P<0.01)in preventing dengue cases.Wolbachia-infected mosquito populations were found to be unstable upon release cessation,which necessitated periodic release and monitoring to maintain desired concentration and protective efficacy.Conclusions:Wolbachia-based intervention is effective in suppressing the transmission of mosquito-borne diseases,especially dengue,with an excellent safety profile.However,community acceptance and policy remain as significant barriers to implementation.展开更多
Objective:To analyze the preventive effect of traditional Chinese medicine sachets on influenza.Methods:A total of 100 subjects meeting the inclusion criteria were recruited in a certain area based on population chara...Objective:To analyze the preventive effect of traditional Chinese medicine sachets on influenza.Methods:A total of 100 subjects meeting the inclusion criteria were recruited in a certain area based on population characteristics(age,occupation,gender).The subjects were divided into a sachet group(50 cases)and a control group(50 cases).The sachet group was given traditional Chinese medicine sachets with epidemic prevention and infection prevention effects(recommended to carry along or sniff intermittently,at least 3 times a day,each time not less than 1 minute.Replace the sachet medicine after one month when the scent disappears,and continue to use for 2 months).The control group did not receive any intervention measures.After the experiment,subjects filled out a questionnaire and an efficacy evaluation form.Results:Comparing the baseline data of the two groups,there was no statistical significance(P>0.05).Comparing the symptoms of colds between the two groups,there was no significant difference in nasal congestion,rhinorrhea,and fatigue symptoms between the two groups(P>0.05).However,the possibility of fever in the sachet group was much lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Comparing the immunoglobulins(IgA,IgM,and IgG)of the two groups before and after intervention,it was found that before the intervention,P>0.50;after the intervention,the immunoglobulin levels of both groups increased,and the increase in the sachet group was much higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Comparing the occurrence of side effects in the two groups,it was found that the incidence of allergies in the sachet group was 4.00%.Due to allergies,two subjects withdrew from the study halfway(P>0.05).Conclusion:In influenza,wearing traditional Chinese medicine sachets can effectively prevent colds and reduce the incidence of colds,but those who are allergic to sachets should use them with caution.展开更多
BACKGROUND Hepatic encephalopathy(HE)is a primary complication following transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt(TIPS),but the utility of pharmacological prophylaxis for HE is unclear.AIM To assess the HE incide...BACKGROUND Hepatic encephalopathy(HE)is a primary complication following transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt(TIPS),but the utility of pharmacological prophylaxis for HE is unclear.AIM To assess the HE incidence post-TIPS across various groups and the prophylactic efficacies of various medications.METHODS A thorough literature search was performed in PubMed,Web of Science,EMBASE,and the Cochrane Library databases from their inception to November 24,2024,to collect data regarding HE incidence.The main outcome was HE incidence post-TIPS.A meta-analysis using a random effects model was performed to obtain odds ratios(ORs)and 95%confidence intervals.Statistical analyses were conducted using Stata and RevMan software.RESULTS This meta-analysis included nine studies with 1140 patients;647 received pharmacological agents including lactulose,rifaximin,albumin,and l-ornithin-l-aspartate,and 493 did not(controls).(1)In the single-group meta-analysis,the control group had higher short-and long-term HE rates than the drug intervention group.Among patients with and without prior HE,the non-intervention group's HE rates were also higher;(2)Pharmacological prevention post-TIPS significantly reduced HE incidence[OR=0.59(0.45,0.77),P=0.0001].Compared with the no prophylaxis,rifaximin reduced the risk of HE after TIPS[OR=0.52(0.29,0.95),P=0.03],but lactulose did not;(3)In patients without prior HE,pharmacological prevention significantly reduced post-TIPS HE incidence[OR=0.62(0.41,0.95),P=0.03];and(4)Network meta-analysis showed no significant differences among five prevention strategies.CONCLUSION The HE incidence after TIPS was relatively high,and the use of drugs after TIPS may reduce the HE incidence.However,research,especially large-scale randomized controlled trials,is still lacking.展开更多
BACKGROUND Colorectal cancer has a high incidence and mortality rate,and the effectiveness of routine colonoscopy largely depends on the endoscopist’s expertise.In recent years,computer-aided detection(CADe)systems h...BACKGROUND Colorectal cancer has a high incidence and mortality rate,and the effectiveness of routine colonoscopy largely depends on the endoscopist’s expertise.In recent years,computer-aided detection(CADe)systems have been increasingly integrated into colonoscopy to improve detection accuracy.However,while most studies have focused on adenoma detection rate(ADR)as the primary outcome,the more sensitive adenoma miss rate(AMR)has been less frequently analyzed.AIM To evaluate the effectiveness of CADe in colonoscopy and assess the advantages of AMR over ADR.METHODS A comprehensive literature search was conducted in PubMed,Embase,and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials using predefined search strategies to identify relevant studies published up to August 2,2024.Statistical analyses were performed to compare outcomes between groups,and potential publication bias was assessed using funnel plots.The quality of the included studies was evaluated using the Cochrane Risk of Bias tool and the Grading of Recommendations,Assessment,Development,and Evaluation approach.RESULTS Five studies comprising 1624 patients met the inclusion criteria.AMR was significantly lower in the CADe-assisted group than in the routine colonoscopy group(147/927,15.9%vs 345/960,35.9%;P<0.01).However,CADe did not provide a significant advantage in detecting advanced adenomas or lesions measuring 6-9 mm or≥10 mm.The polyp miss rate(PMR)was also lower in the CADe-assisted group[odds ratio(OR),0.35;95% confidence interval(CI):0.23-0.52;P<0.01].While the overall ADR did not differ significantly between groups,the ADR during the first-pass examination was higher in the CADe-assisted group(OR,1.37;95%CI:1.10-1.69;P=0.004).The level of evidence for the included randomized controlled trials was graded as moderate.CONCLUSION CADe can significantly reduce AMR and PMR while improving ADR during initial detection,demonstrating its potential to enhance colonoscopy performance.These findings highlight the value of CADe in improving the detection of colorectal neoplasms,particularly small and histologically distinct adenomas.展开更多

文摘AIM:To conduct a systematic review and Meta-analysis to determine the differential effects of combined lutein and zeaxanthin supplementation on myopia prevention in teenagers.It also investigates the effects of supplements dosage,intervention duration,and geographical variation on intervention results.METHODS:A systematic search and screening of randomized controlled trials(RCTs)completed between 2014 and 2023 was undertaken using the PubMed,EMBASE,Cochrane Library,and Web of Science databases,in accordance with the PRISMA recommendations.The Cochrane risk of bias method was used to assess the quality of the studies.A Meta-analysis was performed using Stata 17.0 to calculate standardized mean differences(SMDs)and 95%confidence intervals(CIs).Subgroup analyses were performed to look at the effects of different doses,intervention periods,and geographic areas.Additionally,publication bias was assessed using Egger’s test.RESULTS:Ten studies including 1035 participants with myopia were analyzed.Supplementation with lutein and zeaxanthin resulted in a significant reduction in axial length elongation among adolescents in the intervention group(SMD=-0.40,P=0.001),an increase in macular pigment optical density(SMD=0.50,P=0.010),and an enhancement in visual sensitivity(SMD=0.53,P=0.008).Subgroup analyses revealed that participants receiving high doses and those undergoing intervention for more than 12mo exhibited significantly improved outcomes compared to those in the low-dose and short-term groups(high-dose vs low-dose:SMD=-0.41 vs-0.22,P=0.003;>12mo vs 6-12mo:SMD=-0.43 vs-0.23,P=0.004,respectively).Furthermore,Egger’s test indicated no significant publication bias(P=0.094).CONCLUSION:Combined lutein and zeaxanthin supplementation has a significant effect on myopia prevention in adolescents,with more pronounced benefits observed in high-dose and long-term interventions.The findings provide scientific evidence for its use as an adjunctive approach in myopia control.

文摘A single-machine scheduling with preventive periodic maintenance activities in a remanufacturing system including resumable and non-resumable jobs is studied.The objective is to find a schedule to minimize the makespan and an LPT-LS algorithm is proposed.Non-resumable jobs are first scheduled in a machine by the longest processing time(LPT) rule,and then resumable jobs are scheduled by the list scheduling(LS) rule.And the worst-case ratios of this algorithm in three different cases in terms of the value of the total processing time of the resumable jobs(denoted as S2) are discussed.When S2 is longer than the spare time of the machine after the non-resumable jobs are assigned by the LPT rule,it is equal to 1.When S2 falls in between the spare time of the machine by the LPT rule and the optimal schedule rule,it is less than 2.When S2 is less than the spare time of the machine by the optimal schedule rule,it is less than 2.Finally,numerical examples are presented for verification.

文摘This paper proposes a dynamic opportunistic preventive maintenance (PM) optimization policy for multi-unit series systems by integrating multi PM techniques. Two PM techniques, periodic PM and sequential PM, are considered. Whenever one of the units reaches its reliability threshold, a PM action has to be performed on that unit. At that time the whole system has to be stopped and PM opportunities arise for the other unitsof the system. An optimal PM practice is determined by maximizing the short-term cumulative opportunistic maintenance (OM) cost savings for the whole system. Numerical examples are given to show how this approach works. Finally, a comparison between the proposed PM policy and the other policies is given.

On the basis of field visits, autopsy, bacteriological identification, and close collaboration with local authorities and international colleagues, Dr. Wu Lien-Teh implemented a series of efficient antiplague measures, which successfully controlled the development of an extraordinary epidemic plague. In his subsequent work, Dr. Wu demonstrated the respiratory transmission of pneumonic plague and tarbagans' role in this spread. Dr. Wu's academic and cultural contributions are valuable in the medical progress in China.

文摘Conventional maintenance mode for the traction power supply system(TPSS)is to perform scheduled regular maintenance activities for power supply equipment,while such maintenance mode may result in undue maintenance tasks and low efficiency due to different degradation processes of different sorts of equipment.To address this problem,this paper introduces a preventive opportunistic maintenance(POM)method for TPSS based on equipment reliability.Firstly,a POM model is established by considering the equipment reliability degradation process based on Weibull distribution.Then,by considering the total power outage time in the planned operation cycle of TPSS as the optimization objective,the optimal maintenance scheme of TPSS is formulated by iterative method of maintenance strategies.The proposed method is verified by introducing practical maintenance strategies and fault record data of the traction transformer,circuit breaker and disconnector in an actual TPSS of a railway administration.Results show that the presented method can make full use of the existing fault data to develop a POM scheme for TPSS.It can improve maintenance efficiency and reduce power outage time,providing guidance to formulate scientific maintenance strategies for TPSS.

文摘At present,the operation and maintenance of photovoltaic power generation systems mainly comprise regular maintenance,breakdown maintenance,and condition-based maintenance,which is very likely to lead to over-or under-repair of equipment.Therefore,a preventive maintenance and replacement strategy for PV power generation systems based on reliability as a constraint is proposed.First,a hybrid failure function with a decreasing service age factor and an increasing failure rate factor is introduced to describe the deterioration of PV power generation equipment,and the equipment is replaced when its reliability drops to the replacement threshold in the last cycle.Then,based on the reliability as a constraint,the average maintenance cost and availability of the equipment are considered,and the non-periodic incomplete maintenance model of the PV power generation system is established to obtain the optimal number of repairs,each maintenance cycle and the replacement cycle of the PV power generation system components.Next,the inverter of a PV power plant is used as a research object.The model in this paper is compared and analyzed with the equal cycle maintenance model without considering reliability and the maintenance model without considering the equipment replacement threshold,Through model comparison,when the optimal maintenance strategy is(0.80,4),the average maintenance cost of this paper’s model are decreased by 20.3%and 5.54%and the availability is increased by 0.2395% and 0.0337%,respectively,compared with the equal-cycle maintenance model without considering the reliability constraint and the maintenance model without considering the equipment replacement threshold.Therefore,this maintenance model can ensure the high reliability of PV plant operation while increasing the equipment availability to improve the system economy.
文摘The study aims to identify a suitable site for open and bore well in a farmhouseusing ground magnetic survey in south India.It also aims to define depth to granitoid and structural elements which traverse the selected area.Magnetic data(n=84)measured,processed and interpreted as qualitative and quantitatively.The results of total magnetic intensities indicate that the area is composed of linear magnetic lows trending NE-SW direction and circular to semi-circular causative bodies.The magnetic values ranged from-137 nT to 2345 nT with a mean of 465 nT.Reduction to equator shows significant shifting of causative bodies in the southern and northern directions.Analytical signal map shows exact boundary of granitic bodies.Cosine directional filter has brought out structural element trending NE-SW direction.Results of individual profile brought to light structurally weak zone between 90 m and 100 m in all the profile lines.Sudden decrease of magnetic values from 2042 nT to 126 nT noticed in profile line 6 between 20 m and 30 m indicates fault occurrence.Magnetic breaks obtained from these maps were visualized,interpreted and identified two suitable sites for open and bore well.Radially averaged power spectrum estimates depth of shallow and deep sources in 5 m and 50 m,respectively.Euler method has also been applied to estimate depth of granitoid and structural elements using structural indexes 0,1,2,and 3 and found depth ranges from<10 m to>90 m.Study indicates magnetic method is one of the geophysical methods suitable for groundwater exploration and site selection for open and borewells.
文摘Objective:This study aimed to explore more on contributing factors and prevention of overweight and obesity among Pacific islanders.Methods:Using Cochrane library guideline,four electronic databases,PubMed,Embase,Scopus and CINAHL,were systematically searched from 2010 to 2020.Search strategy included key concepts,free text terms,and database-controlled vocabulary terms to identify articles on determinants and preventative strategies of overweight and obesity in the Pacific countries.A data extraction sheet was developed to extract relevant information required for analysis and theme development for this study.Results:A total of 22 articles were summarized and categorized.Determinants of overweight and obesity identified two themes:environmental related factors 13.6%(3/22)and sociocultural related factors 27.3%(6/22).The preventative strategies of overweight and obesity was categorized into behavioural change 22.7%(5/22),school-related 18.2%(4/22),and policies 50%(11/22).The quality assessment of articles showed“Good”68.2%(15/22),and“Fair”31.8%(7/22).Conclusion:This study highlighted two contributing,non-medication factors affecting overweight and obesity are both environmental and socio-cultural issues.Overweight and obesity preventative strategies identified in the Pacific context considered behavioural change,knowledge enhancement,and policy development.Further research should aim at exploring the current preventative strategies in-depth,to appreciate the most feasible and recommended preventative approach within the Pacific society.
文摘To address uncertainty as well as transient stability constraints simultaneously in the preventive control of windfarm systems, a novel three-stage optimization strategy is established in this paper. In the first stage, the probabilisticmulti-objective particle swarm optimization based on the point estimate method is employed to cope with thestochastic factors. The transient security region of the system is accurately ensured by the interior point methodin the second stage. Finally, the verification of the final optimal objectives and satisfied constraints are enforcedin the last stage. Furthermore, the proposed strategy is a general framework that can combine other optimizationalgorithms. The proposed methodology is tested on the modified WSCC 9-bus system and the New England 39-bussystem. The results verify the feasibility of the method.

文摘The recursion relation of preventive maintenance (PM) cycle is built up concerning the concept of effective age and age setback factor proposed in this paper, which illustrates the dynamic relationship between failure rate and preventive maintenance activity. And the nonlinear optimal PM policy model satisfying the reliability constraints in finite time horizon following Weibull distribution is proposed. The model built in this paper avoids the shortcoming of steady analytical PM model in infinite time horizon and can be used to aid scheduling the maintenance plan and providing decision supporting for job shop scheduling.

文摘The integration of a large number of power electronic converters,such as railway power conditioner(RPC),introduces a series of problems,including harmonic interaction,stability issues,and wideband resonance,into the railway power supply system.To address these challenges,this paper proposes a novel harmonic resonance prevention measure for RPC-network-train interaction system.Firstly,a harmonic model,a parallel resonance impedance model,a series resonance admittance model,and a control stability model are each established for the RPC-network-train interaction system.Secondly,a comprehensive resonance impact factor(CRIF)is proposed to efficiently and accurately identify the key components affecting resonance,and to provide the selection results of optimization parameters for resonance prevention.Next,the initially selected parameters are constrained by the requirements of ripple current,reactive power and stability.Subsequently,the impedance parameters(control parameters and filter parameters)of the RPC are optimized with the objective of reshaping the parallel resonance impedance and series resonance admittance of the RPC-network-train interaction system,ensuring the output current har-monics of RPC meet standards to achieve resonance prevention,while ensuring the stable operation of the RPC.Finally,the proposed resonance prevention measure is verified under both light load and heavy load conditions using a simulation platform and a hardware-in-the-loop experimental platform.
文摘Objective:To explore the impact of parenting care guidance combined with preventive healthcare on child family parenting.Methods:Ninety-two child families were included as research subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group,with 46 cases in each group.The former implemented basic preventive healthcare,while the latter simultaneously carried out parenting care guidance combined with preventive healthcare.The intervention results of the two groups were compared.Results:The observation group had a higher awareness rate of family parenting knowledge and a higher formation rate of healthy behaviors,P<0.05.At the same time,parents’parenting anxiety scores were lower,and family health management ability scores were higher,P<0.05.Moreover,the observation group showed higher scores in children’s social skills,P<0.05.Conclusion:Parenting care guidance combined with preventive healthcare can effectively improve the status of child family parenting,and it is worthy of promotion and application.

文摘Objective:Several therapeutic modalities for the prevention of calcium oxalate(CaOx)stones have been studied,but only a select few of these modalities have been incorporated into the American Urological Association guidelines.Our study aimed to organize and interrogate existing research that may be promising for CaOx prevention.Methods:A literature search was conducted using MEDLINE and Embase from inception to November 16,2022.Our study population included adults with or without a history of CaOx kidney stones.Studies in which patients were treated with pharmacotherapies,herbal supplements,or uncategorized research chemicals that are not included in the current American Urological Association guidelines for preventing CaOx stones were included.Nonoriginal research was excluded.Results:Out of the 6155 identified articles,38 were included in the final analysis.The five distinct categories of interventions for stone prevention were“medications”,“herbal supplements”,“food and macronutrients”,“micronutrients”,and“enzymes and probiotics”.Modalities that were found to reduce known urinary risk factors were tolvaptan,cranberry juice,magnesium citrate,oxalate-degrading enzyme ALLN-177,and malic acid.Prophylaxis that reduced stone formation were sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors,eicosapentaenoic acid,ethane-1-hydroxy-1,1-disphosphonate.Therapies that reduced urinary risk factors and stone formation were Phyllanthus niruri,rice bran,and magnesium hydroxide.Conclusion:Several of the identified therapies may provide prophylactic benefits for CaOx stone formation and may be useful for inclusion in guidelines for kidney stone prevention.

文摘Mycotoxins,toxic secondary metabolites produced by fungus including Aspergillus,Penicillium,and Fusarium,pose considerable threats to food safety and human health worldwide.This review analyzes the main categories of mycotoxins—namely aflatoxins,ochratoxins,and fusarium toxins(zearalenone and fumonisins)—along with their health implications,sources of contamination,and environmental circumstances conducive to their production.The document highlights the pressing necessity for efficient management techniques and investigates the use of food polymer-based nanotechnology as an innovative solution.Biopolymeric nanoparticles produced from natural food materials exhibit notable antibacterial characteristics,biodegradability,and the ability to enhance mycotoxin detection and management.This review emphasizes the transformative capacity of nanotechnology based innovative strategies in improving mycotoxin control,providing insights into emerging research avenues and practical applications to bolster food safety systems and keyword co-occurrence analysis,limitations and future perspectives.
文摘Objective:To identify the efficacy of Wolbachia-based intervention by reviewing community-based trials through meta-analysis and systematic review methods.Methods:Studies about Wolbachia-infected mosquito intervention were collected through a screening process.Records underwent data extraction and quality assessment independently by the authors.The primary outcome of the study was protective efficacy.Quantitative analysis was conducted through meta-analysis and multivariate meta-regression using Rstudio Ver.2024.09.0-375.Qualitative analysis was done by summarizing records’findings.Results:10 out of the 10660 records met the criteria.The evidence was moderate in quality and highly heterogeneous.Intervention consisted of releasing Wolbachia-infected Aedes aegypti in densely populated settlements.The combined protective efficacy of Wolbachia intervention against dengue is highly heterogeneous(79%;95%CI 70-88;I^(2)=98%).wMel strain is significantly more efficacious compared to wAlbB(protective efficacy 84%;95%CI 76-93;I^(2)=95%)vs.64%(95%CI 46-82;I^(2)=85%);P<0.01)in preventing dengue cases.Wolbachia-infected mosquito populations were found to be unstable upon release cessation,which necessitated periodic release and monitoring to maintain desired concentration and protective efficacy.Conclusions:Wolbachia-based intervention is effective in suppressing the transmission of mosquito-borne diseases,especially dengue,with an excellent safety profile.However,community acceptance and policy remain as significant barriers to implementation.

文摘Objective:To analyze the preventive effect of traditional Chinese medicine sachets on influenza.Methods:A total of 100 subjects meeting the inclusion criteria were recruited in a certain area based on population characteristics(age,occupation,gender).The subjects were divided into a sachet group(50 cases)and a control group(50 cases).The sachet group was given traditional Chinese medicine sachets with epidemic prevention and infection prevention effects(recommended to carry along or sniff intermittently,at least 3 times a day,each time not less than 1 minute.Replace the sachet medicine after one month when the scent disappears,and continue to use for 2 months).The control group did not receive any intervention measures.After the experiment,subjects filled out a questionnaire and an efficacy evaluation form.Results:Comparing the baseline data of the two groups,there was no statistical significance(P>0.05).Comparing the symptoms of colds between the two groups,there was no significant difference in nasal congestion,rhinorrhea,and fatigue symptoms between the two groups(P>0.05).However,the possibility of fever in the sachet group was much lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Comparing the immunoglobulins(IgA,IgM,and IgG)of the two groups before and after intervention,it was found that before the intervention,P>0.50;after the intervention,the immunoglobulin levels of both groups increased,and the increase in the sachet group was much higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Comparing the occurrence of side effects in the two groups,it was found that the incidence of allergies in the sachet group was 4.00%.Due to allergies,two subjects withdrew from the study halfway(P>0.05).Conclusion:In influenza,wearing traditional Chinese medicine sachets can effectively prevent colds and reduce the incidence of colds,but those who are allergic to sachets should use them with caution.
文摘BACKGROUND Hepatic encephalopathy(HE)is a primary complication following transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt(TIPS),but the utility of pharmacological prophylaxis for HE is unclear.AIM To assess the HE incidence post-TIPS across various groups and the prophylactic efficacies of various medications.METHODS A thorough literature search was performed in PubMed,Web of Science,EMBASE,and the Cochrane Library databases from their inception to November 24,2024,to collect data regarding HE incidence.The main outcome was HE incidence post-TIPS.A meta-analysis using a random effects model was performed to obtain odds ratios(ORs)and 95%confidence intervals.Statistical analyses were conducted using Stata and RevMan software.RESULTS This meta-analysis included nine studies with 1140 patients;647 received pharmacological agents including lactulose,rifaximin,albumin,and l-ornithin-l-aspartate,and 493 did not(controls).(1)In the single-group meta-analysis,the control group had higher short-and long-term HE rates than the drug intervention group.Among patients with and without prior HE,the non-intervention group's HE rates were also higher;(2)Pharmacological prevention post-TIPS significantly reduced HE incidence[OR=0.59(0.45,0.77),P=0.0001].Compared with the no prophylaxis,rifaximin reduced the risk of HE after TIPS[OR=0.52(0.29,0.95),P=0.03],but lactulose did not;(3)In patients without prior HE,pharmacological prevention significantly reduced post-TIPS HE incidence[OR=0.62(0.41,0.95),P=0.03];and(4)Network meta-analysis showed no significant differences among five prevention strategies.CONCLUSION The HE incidence after TIPS was relatively high,and the use of drugs after TIPS may reduce the HE incidence.However,research,especially large-scale randomized controlled trials,is still lacking.
文摘BACKGROUND Colorectal cancer has a high incidence and mortality rate,and the effectiveness of routine colonoscopy largely depends on the endoscopist’s expertise.In recent years,computer-aided detection(CADe)systems have been increasingly integrated into colonoscopy to improve detection accuracy.However,while most studies have focused on adenoma detection rate(ADR)as the primary outcome,the more sensitive adenoma miss rate(AMR)has been less frequently analyzed.AIM To evaluate the effectiveness of CADe in colonoscopy and assess the advantages of AMR over ADR.METHODS A comprehensive literature search was conducted in PubMed,Embase,and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials using predefined search strategies to identify relevant studies published up to August 2,2024.Statistical analyses were performed to compare outcomes between groups,and potential publication bias was assessed using funnel plots.The quality of the included studies was evaluated using the Cochrane Risk of Bias tool and the Grading of Recommendations,Assessment,Development,and Evaluation approach.RESULTS Five studies comprising 1624 patients met the inclusion criteria.AMR was significantly lower in the CADe-assisted group than in the routine colonoscopy group(147/927,15.9%vs 345/960,35.9%;P<0.01).However,CADe did not provide a significant advantage in detecting advanced adenomas or lesions measuring 6-9 mm or≥10 mm.The polyp miss rate(PMR)was also lower in the CADe-assisted group[odds ratio(OR),0.35;95% confidence interval(CI):0.23-0.52;P<0.01].While the overall ADR did not differ significantly between groups,the ADR during the first-pass examination was higher in the CADe-assisted group(OR,1.37;95%CI:1.10-1.69;P=0.004).The level of evidence for the included randomized controlled trials was graded as moderate.CONCLUSION CADe can significantly reduce AMR and PMR while improving ADR during initial detection,demonstrating its potential to enhance colonoscopy performance.These findings highlight the value of CADe in improving the detection of colorectal neoplasms,particularly small and histologically distinct adenomas.
