Study of the Compensatory Growth Following Starvation of Juvenile Golden Pompano Trachinotus ovatus

A starvation trial was conducted to determine compensatory growth of the juvenile golden pompano Trachinotus ovatus which were deprived of food for 1, 2, 5 and 7 days respectively. The results of tests in outdoor cement pools and net pens showed that, in the first 15 days and 30 days, the growth of 1 day and 2 days-deprived groups was probably the same with that of control group, which accorded with fully compensatory description. However, the weight of 5 days and 7 days-deprived fingerlings were lower than that of the control group, which accorded with the description of the partial compensatory growth. As the starvation prolonged, feed conversion efficiency of the starved groups increased and was higher than the control group. Meanwhile, feeding rate also increased, but the fish of 1 day and 2 days-deprived groups was lower than that of the control group, and feeding quantity reduced and was lower than that of the control group. It suggested that the mechanism of compensatory growth was mainly due to improving feed conversion efficiency. Fish biochemical composition was analyzed: the water content and ash of fish sample increased due to starvation, while the lipid and protein decreased. The loss of lipid was greater than that of the protein, and the biochemical composition of fish in each group was restored to the control level by the end of the experiment. It suggested that Trachinotus ovatus may mainly consume lipid during the period of starvation. 展开更多

Water-Soluble Chitosan(WSC)has been sucessfuly synthesized from squid pens waste.The synthesis of chitosan from chitin was carried out by optimization of deacetylation temperature and time.Chitin was obtained from squid pens waste by demineralization and deproteinization process.HCl 7%was used for demineralization and NaOH 10%at 60℃ was applied for deproteinization process.Deacetylation reaction was carried out at varied temperatures i.e.,60℃,70℃,80℃,90℃ and 100℃ in NaOH 50%solution for 10 hours.Deacetylation reaction time were varied for 2 hours,4 hours,6 hours,8 hours,and 10 hours.The crude chitosan obtained then reacted with H2O230%to depolymerize.The synthesis product obtained then characterized by FTIR.The result of squid chitin yield was 33.9%.The optimum temperature and time of chitosan deacetylation process were 90℃ for 8 hours as indicated by the value of deacetylation degree(DD)that equal to 83.94%at optimum temperature and 82.22%at optimum reaction time.The percentage of WSC yield at optimum temperature(90℃)and optimum time(8 hours)were 27.59%and 23.16%,respectively.WSC solubility test was done in water and HCl 0,1N.The solubility of 2.8325 mg/mL and 0.8125 mg/mL were obtained in acid medium and water medium,respectively. 展开更多

Sea pens are a highly specialized and morphologically distinct group of octocorallians,but many taxa were poorly described and their phylogenetic relationships are still poorly known.We describe two species of sea pens collected from the tropical Western Pacific:Alloptilella splendida gen.et sp.nov.and Scytalium veneris(Thomson&Henderson,1906).Alloptilella splendida gen.et sp.nov.accords with the definition of the recently resurrected genus Ptilella Gray,1870 in most characters,but differs from the latter in the arrangement of autozooids and the location of mesozooids.The new species mostly resembles Pennatula naresi K(o|")lliker(1880),but differs by the location of me sozooids and the reddish color of sclerite s surrounding siphonozooids.The generic separation is also well supported by their genetic distances and the molecular phylogenetic trees constructed by the concatenated mtMutS-COI-28 S,where Alloptilella clustered with Scytalium Herklots,1858 and formed a clade with the cluster of Ptilella and Distichoptilum.Scytalium veneris,usually considered as a junior synonym of Scytalium sarsii Herklots,1858,is resurrected by recognizing their distinctive differences.This is the first record of Scytalium veneris outside its type locality,and the phylogenetic analysis indicates that Scytalium is a monophyletic group.Both the families Pennatulidae and Virgulariidae are polyphyletic,and more morphological and molecular data are needed to clarify the phylogenetic positions of pennatulacean families and genera. 展开更多

[目的]检测透明质酸(HA)单独及与青霉素(PEN)联合使用时,对金黄色葡萄球菌(金葡菌)的抗菌活性,并同步检测多种抗生素对该菌的药敏性。[方法]采用二倍稀释法和微量棋盘法,评估1株金葡菌标准株与9株奶牛源临床分离金葡菌对相关药物的敏感性。[结果]金葡菌对PEN、克林霉素、红霉素的耐药率分别为90%、80%和40%;未检测出耐甲氧西林菌株,诱导克林霉素耐药菌株占比40%;HA与PEN联合作用于金葡菌时,均表现出相加(部分抑菌浓度指数FICI 0.5~1.0)或协同(FICI≤0.5)效应。[结论]HA与PEN联用可显著降低2种药物对金葡菌的有效抑菌浓度,为临床应对金葡菌耐药问题提供新的用药思路。 展开更多

The excreta of pig is generally utilized to induce pigs to excrete in particular area,which reduces the subsequent work required to clean pens.This paper discussed a new induction device design based on the biological characteristics of pigs.Using different induction materials in the devices,the frequency and location of the excretory behavior of pigs through five treatments and a control group were compared.According to the results,different induction methods had significant(p<0.05)effects on frequency and duration of excretory behavior.Compared to the conventional induction method,the induction devices were significantly(p<0.05)more effective in training pigs to excrete in the assigned area,the most effective material used in the induction devices was feces.If the inductive feces had been preserved in the air for a longer time,the effect of inducing excretory behavior would have been more obvious.Empty devices did not work to induce pigs to excrete in the induction area. 展开更多

基于PEN柔性基底XBAR谐振器的声学特性研究

采用有限元方法(FEM)分析了基于PEN (Polyethylene Naphthalate)柔性基底横向激发体声波谐振器(XBAR)的声学特性,包括谐振频率fr、机电耦合系数K2eff、品质因数Qr及频率温度系数(TCF)等。结果表明,PEN柔性基底的引入改善了XBAR性能,如当... 采用有限元方法(FEM)分析了基于PEN (Polyethylene Naphthalate)柔性基底横向激发体声波谐振器(XBAR)的声学特性,包括谐振频率fr、机电耦合系数K2eff、品质因数Qr及频率温度系数(TCF)等。结果表明,PEN柔性基底的引入改善了XBAR性能,如当hPEN=40 nm时,K2eff=35.68%,较同参数的IDT/LiNbO3结构提升了约35%,fr=4.4 GHz,Qr=112;当hPEN=105 nm时,PEN与IDT/LiNbO3结构发生耦合共振,致使XBAR谐振频率发生偏移以及品质因数增加,其频率偏移达到1.32 GHz,Qr增加75。同时XBAR的温度稳定性得到提升,当hPEN=120 nm时,XBAR的TCF为-72.9×10^(-6)/℃,而同参数IDT/LiNbO3结构TCF为-107×10^(-6)/℃。综上可知,IDT/LiNbO3/PEN结构XBAR具有更优异的声学特性,通过合理选择PEN厚度可优化XBAR的不同性能参数。该结果为高频、高机电耦合系数和高温度稳定性XBAR的设计和研制提供了理论依据。 展开更多

Accurate atomic mass data hold significant application value in various research fields,in which Penning trap mass spectrometry is considered the most precise experimental method.A cryogenic detection system is a key component for reading out the image charge of charged particles in Penning traps using the Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance technique.In this paper,we present the development and characteristics of this detection system,which includes a superconducting resonator and cryogenic low-noise amplifiers.The resonator consists of delicately woven thin NbTi wires configured into a multilayer helical coil,offering a quality factor of 98004 at around 1 MHz.Low-noise amplifiers are developed based on GaAs field effect transistors,exhibiting amplification factors greater than 27 dB with a power consumption of approximately 6 mW in the frequency range of 0.1 to 10 MHz.The lowest input voltage noise is 0.8√Hz at 1 MHz.The fabrication process,operation,and measurements are elucidated in detail. 展开更多
