The promotion of rural revitalization within the ecological conservation areas(“ECAs”) requires a careful balance between ecological protection and economic development and should be guided by the principle of ecolo...The promotion of rural revitalization within the ecological conservation areas(“ECAs”) requires a careful balance between ecological protection and economic development and should be guided by the principle of ecological priority. The cultivation of rural “Local Specialty Products”(“LSPs”) under a green-development framework aligns with the functional positioning of these areas, drives the revitalization of rural industries, and constitutes a fundamental strategy for addressing the unique challenges they face. Although ECAs possess inherent advantages in terms of developing LSPs, they are also confronted by multiple constraints. Accordingly, we propose development objectives that emphasize(a) driving rural industrial prosperity,(b) enhancing the appeal of agricultural heritage, and(c) ensuring inclusive prosperity in the farming communities. In selecting pathways for growth, priority should be given to improving the quality of products, fostering distinctiveness of the technologies, nurturing cultural identities, and upholding the principle of common prosperity. From a policy standpoint, the development of rural LSPs should be recognized as a key lever for advancing the comprehensiveness of rural revitalization in the ECAs. We recommend a set of supportive measures—namely, reinforcing the guidance for spatial planning, integrating the consolidation of factor inputs, and ensuring the robustness of organizational guarantees—to facilitate the high-quality development of LSPs in these areas.展开更多
This study examined the non-medical factors that influence expectant mothers to opt for caesarean deliveries in Ghana. Data on 395 expectant mothers across the ten regions of Ghana who were located in urban, semi-rura...This study examined the non-medical factors that influence expectant mothers to opt for caesarean deliveries in Ghana. Data on 395 expectant mothers across the ten regions of Ghana who were located in urban, semi-rural and rural areas, and spanned a period of five years (from 2012 to 2016) were obtained from the Ghana Health Service. In fitting the logistic regression model, data on 355 expectant mothers (i.e. 89.9% of the data) was assigned to the analysis sample while 40 (i.e. 10.1%) was assigned to the hold-out sample. The hold-out sample together with other statistical measures of overall model fit, pseudo R2 measures and classification accuracy were used to validate the results obtained from the analysis sample. Significance was tested at p = 0.05. Determinants including, educational level of expectant mother, parity of expectant mother, baby’s birth weight, previous caesarean delivery, location of expectant mother, age of expectant mother and, period within the year of childbirth had a significant effect on caesarean delivery. The study recommended that health practitioners should be able to foretell expectant mothers who are likely to undergo caesarean delivery in order for them to prepare financially and psychologically to avoid further complications. Due to the significant positive attitude of women towards caesarean delivery rather than normal delivery, it is necessary to inform them about the advantages of normal delivery and the health hazards associated with caesarean delivery to the mother and child.展开更多

With the increasing prevalence of mental disorders,regional mental health service systems face challenges including uneven resource distribution,inefficient referral pathways,and fragmented information.To address thes...With the increasing prevalence of mental disorders,regional mental health service systems face challenges including uneven resource distribution,inefficient referral pathways,and fragmented information.To address these issues,a platform-based bidirectional referral model centered on a municipal psychiatric specialty hospital was developed and implemented,linking community hospitals and county-level psychiatric departments.A unified regional mental health information platform was used to integrate patient data.Community hospitals conducted preliminary screening,county-level psychiatric departments performed referral assessment,and the municipal psychiatric specialty hospital made centralized evaluation and admission decisions.The implementation results demonstrated standardized screening processes,clearer referral pathways,reduced unnecessary hospitalizations,improved accuracy of patient admission,and enhanced mental health service capacity at the primary care level.This model contributes to optimizing mental health resource allocation and improving the efficiency of tiered mental health services.展开更多
