This study investigates how to pedagogically integrate ideological education with competency development in the Intercultural Communication course,a challenge arising from China’s dual reform contexts of the New Libe...This study investigates how to pedagogically integrate ideological education with competency development in the Intercultural Communication course,a challenge arising from China’s dual reform contexts of the New Liberal Arts initiative and the national curriculum ideology policy.As global interactions intensify,cultivating foreign language professionals who possess both firm cultural confidence and sophisticated intercultural competence have become a critical educational imperative.This exploratory study investigates how a three-dimensional“Value-Knowledge-Competency”framework can guide the redesign of course content,task design,and assessment to achieve organic fusion.Drawing on qualitative data from a case study,it analyzes specific implementation pathways,synthesizes teacher and student feedback,and discusses the resultant challenges and broader implications for foreign language curriculum reform.The findings suggest that such an integrated approach can effectively synergize value guidance with skill cultivation,though its success hinges on overcoming issues related to pedagogical naturalness,resource allocation,and standardized evaluation.展开更多
New type professional farmers are farmers who possess certain resources and capitals,have certain extent of spirit of entrepreneurship,and are fully capable of obtaining and allocating resources related to agricultura...New type professional farmers are farmers who possess certain resources and capitals,have certain extent of spirit of entrepreneurship,and are fully capable of obtaining and allocating resources related to agricultural production and management,and engaged in agricultural production and management for obtaining average profit.Cultivation of new type professional farmers should be promoted in the process and at the background of"coordinated development of industrialization,informationization,urbanization and agricultural modernization".It should establish a proper cultivation subject system consisting of government,enterprises,rural communities and nonprofit organizations.Relying on multiple motive forces,efforts should be concentrated on cultivating those farmers with enterprising,highly innovative and learning ability,to guide traditional farmers to change into learning,enterprising and innovative ones.In addition,cultivation of new type professional farmers must rely on farmer education and training,modern agricultural development,increase in agricultural comparative advantage,innovation of rural management system and mechanism,multiple types of agricultural operation on a fairly large scale,as well as construction and regulation of new rural communities.Finally,it is recommended to provide system guarantee from long-term input mechanism of new type professional farmer education and training,incentive and restrictive mechanism of new type professional farmer cultivation,and construction of favorable environment for agricultural entrepreneurship.展开更多

The research chose the reports about the cities in Liaoning Province,Dalian,Shenyang,and Anshan as the objects of study.These reports came from the three newspapers China Daily,New York Times,and Globe and Mail.This r...The research chose the reports about the cities in Liaoning Province,Dalian,Shenyang,and Anshan as the objects of study.These reports came from the three newspapers China Daily,New York Times,and Globe and Mail.This research was based on Frame Work Theory,and used language analysis and case study as the research methods to identify the discourse and organization.The first result is that there is serious stereotyping about the image of Liaoning cities in American and Canadian news.And Chinese news did not cover entire comprehensive topics and was too late to emergency events,so they lost the chance to be an original source of news and the possibility to set the agenda,even lost the discourse power.The second result is that the differences between Chinese reports and American and Canadian reports implied culture differences,the similarities between Canadian and American reports refer to the culture intercommunity.Third,American and Canadian news used multi-framework to make the reports more reliable,but the lack of multi-dimensional reports declined the trustworthiness.展开更多

Peninsulas are exceptional areas loved to be developed uniquely in most part of the globe. Lekki Peninsulas in Lagos, Nigeria is fast growing, benefitting from similar fortunes such as modern residential suburbs, free...Peninsulas are exceptional areas loved to be developed uniquely in most part of the globe. Lekki Peninsulas in Lagos, Nigeria is fast growing, benefitting from similar fortunes such as modern residential suburbs, free trade zone, airport;and tourism are springing up but without adequate potable water for sustainable development. Reconnaissance surveys followed by an In-Depth-Interview were carried out. The commonest sources are sachet, bottled and borehole waters. Sachet and bottled waters are readily available but at unaffordable costs. The most frequently available is borehole, but chemical, physical/organoleptic and microbiological analysis show that the compositions are not within WHO permissible standards. Sustainability is in jeopardy. Individuals, organizations and businesses spend average of 15% of their income on treatments to meet acceptable standards. There are needs to bridge the gap between the residents taking untreated poor water and the few that take WHO standardized waters. A Simple Water Treatment Device is recommended. The device consists of four chambers, two pumping machines, alum and chlorine for treatment. It is equipped with 12 to 13 valves (depending on the position of the chambers);and the entire system is powered by electricity. It will control water borne diseases such as typhoid, schistotomiasis, diarrhea and dysentery, hepatitis, cholera and others;potable water will be available for domestic, recreational and industrial uses;enough for use in the Free Trade Zone and at the forth coming airport;the Eighteen Golf Course will not have challenges of potable water;and forces and military formations within and around the peninsula can rely on the source for every use. It is estimated that the system that can provide average of 100,000 liters of water a day will cost N720,000:00, that is, outside the cost of electricity. The system requires regular maintenance. Further, by using the gen...In this paper, a new class of over-relaxed proximal point algorithms for solving nonlinear operator equations with (A,η,m)-monotonicity framework in Hilbert spaces is introduced and studied. Further, by using the generalized resolvent operator technique associated with the (A,η,m)-monotone operators, the approximation solvability of the operator equation problems and the convergence of iterative sequences generated by the algorithm are discussed. Our results improve and generalize the corresponding results in the literature.展开更多
