Multi-mode acceleration optimization control for adaptive cycle engine based on variable geometry components

The acceleration and mode transition performance are two significant performances of Adaptive Cycle Engine(ACE).However,separating the processes of acceleration and mode transition will slow down the response speed of thrust.Therefore,this paper proposes a multi-mode acceleration optimization control method that simultaneously performs ACE acceleration and mode transition.Firstly,an ACE component model with inlet flow characteristics was established,and the performance before and after mode transition were analyzed.Secondly,the principle of ACE acceleration optimization was analyzed,and the Front Variable Area Bypass Injector(FVABI)and Mode Selection Valve(MSV)were adopted in the acceleration process.Finally,based on the Sequential Quadratic Programming(SQP)algorithm,considering the degradation effects of engine components,we optimize the acceleration control plan for fuel and variable geometry mechanisms.The simulation results show that at the subsonic cruise point,the ACE multi-mode acceleration optimization control method can shorten the acceleration time from idle to middle state by 30.33%,and accelerate the thrust response speed by 33.72%.When the compressor flow rate of ACE deteriorates by 2% and the high-pressure turbine efficiency deteriorates by 4%,the adaptive acceleration control plan increases the high-pressure speed by 2.13% and thrust by about 6.82%;within the flight envelope,the acceleration time is reduced by more than 25%,and the thrust response speed is increased by more than 20%. 展开更多

This paper explores and proposes a design solution of an integrated skip cycle mode (SCM) control circuit with a simple structure. The design is simulated and implemented with XD10H-1.0μm modular DIMOS 650 V process. In order to meet the requirement of a wide temperature range and high yields of products, the schematic extracted from the layout is simulated with five process corners at 27℃ and 90℃. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed integrated circuit is immune to noise and achieves skipping cycle control when switching mode power supply (SMPS) works with low load or without load. 展开更多

Impacts of the annual cycle of background SST in the tropical Pacific on the phase and amplitude of ENSO

The dominant annual cycle of sea surface temperature(SST)in the tropical Pacific exhibits an antisymmetric mode,which explains 83.4%total variance,and serves as a background of El Niño-Southern Oscillation(ENSO).However,there is no consensus yet on its anomalous impacts on the phase and amplitude of ENSO.Based on data during 1982-2022,results show that anomalies of the antisymmetric mode can affect the evolution of ENSO on the interannual scale via Bjerknes feedback,in which the positive(negative)phase of the antisymmetric mode can strengthen El Niño(La Niña)in boreal winter via an earlier(delayed)seasonal cycle transition and larger(smaller)annual mean.The magnitude of the SST anomalies in the equatorial eastern Pacific can reach more than±0.3◦C,regulated by the changes in the antisymmetric mode based on random sensitivity analysis.Results reveal the spatial pattern of the annual cycle associated with the seasonal phase-locking of ENSO evolution and provide new insight into the impact of the annual cycle of background SST on ENSO,which possibly carries important implications for forecasting ENSO. 展开更多

Based on the simple ocean data assimilation(SODA) reanalysis dataset from the University of Maryland and the method of Empirical Orthogonal Functions(EOF),the characteristics of interannual and interdecadal variabilities of the equatorial Pacific subsurface oceanic temperature anomaly(SOTA) are captured.The first and second modes of the equatorial Pacific SOTA in the interannual and interdecadal variations are found respectively and the effect of the second mode on the ENSO cycle is discussed.Results show that the first mode of SOTA's interannual and interdecadal variabilities exhibit a dipole pattern,indicating that the warm and cold temperature anomalies appear simultaneously in the equatorial subsurface Pacific.The second mode shows coherent large-scale temperature anomalies in the equatorial subsurface Pacific,which is a dominant mode in the evolution of ENSO cycle.The temporal series of the second mode has a significant lead correlation with the Ni?o-3.4 index,which can make a precursory prediction signal for ENSO.The function of this prediction factor in SOTA is verified by composite and case analyses. 展开更多

This paper studies the application of mathematical models to analyze the vortex-induced vibrations of the tendons of a given TLP along the Indian coastline, by using an analytical approach, using MATLAB. The tendon is subjected to a steady current load, which causes vortex-shedding downstream, leading to cross-flow vibrations. The magnitude of the excitation(lift and drag coefficients) depends on the vortex-shedding frequency. The resulting vibration is studied for possible resonant behavior. The excitation force is quantified empirically, the added mass by potential flow hydrodynamics, and the vibration by normal mode summation method. Non-linear viscous damping of the water is considered. The non-linear oscillations are studied by the phase-plane method, investigating the limit-cycle oscillations. The stable/unstable regions of the dynamic behavior are demarcated. The modal contribution to the total deflection is studied to establish the possibility of resonance of one of the wet modes with the vortex-shedding frequency. 展开更多

The Role of Changes in the Annual Cycle in Earlier Onset of Climatic Spring in Northern China 被引量:14

Climatic changes in the onset of spring in northern China associated with changes in the annual cycle and with a recent warming trend were quantified using a recently developed adaptive data analysis tool, the Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition. The study was based on a homogenized daily surface air temperature (SAT) dataset for the period 1955–2003. The annual cycle here is referred to as a refined modulated annual cycle (MAC). The results show that spring at Beijing has arrived significantly earlier by about 2.98 d (10 yr)-1, of which about 1.85 d (10 yr)-1 is due to changes in the annual cycle and 1.13 d (10 yr)-1 due to the long-term warming trend. Variations in the MAC component explain about 92.5% of the total variance in the Beijing daily SAT series and could cause as much as a 20-day shift in the onset of spring from one year to another. The onset of spring has been advancing all over northern China, but more significant in the east than in the west part of the region. These differences are somehow unexplainable by the zonal pattern of the warming trend over the whole region, but can be explained by opposite changes in the spring phase of the MAC, i.e. advancing in the east while delaying in the west. In the east of northern China, the change in the spring phase of MAC explains 40%–60% of the spring onset trend and is attributable to a weakening Asian winter monsoon. The average sea level pressure in Siberia (55°–80°N, 50°–110°E), an index of the strength of the winter monsoon, could serve as a potential short-term predictor for the onset of spring in the east of northern China. 展开更多

The traditional anomaly (TA) reference frame and its corresponding anomaly for a given data span changes with the extension of data length. In this study, the modulated annual cycle (MAC), instead of the widely used climatological mean annual cycle, is used as an alternative reference frame for computing climate anomalies to study the multi-timescale variability of surface air temperature (SAT) in China based on homogenized daily data from 1952 to 2004. The Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition (EEMD) method is used to separate daily SAT into a high frequency component, a MAC component, an interannual component, and a decadal-to-trend component. The results show that the EEMD method can reflect historical events reasonably well, indicating its adaptive and temporally local characteristics. It is shown that MAC is a temporally local reference frame and will not be altered over a particular time span by an exten-sion of data length, thereby making it easier for physical interpretation. In the MAC reference frame, the low frequency component is found more suitable for studying the interannual to longer timescale variability (ILV) than a 13-month window running mean, which does not exclude the annual cycle. It is also better than other traditional versions (annual or summer or winter mean) of ILV, which contains a portion of the annual cycle. The analysis reveals that the variability of the annual cycle could be as large as the magnitude of interannual variability. The possible physical causes of different timescale variability of SAT in China are further discussed. 展开更多

The alternative working modes and flexible working states are the outstanding features of an adaptive cycle engine, with a proper control schedule design being the only way to exploit the performance of such an engine. However, unreasonable design in the control schedule causes not only performance deterioration but also serious aerodynamic stability problems. Thus, in this work,a hybrid optimization method that automatically chooses the working modes and identifies the optimal and smooth control schedules is proposed, by combining the differential evolution algorithm and the Latin hypercube sampling method. The control schedule architecture does not only optimize the engine steady-state performance under different working modes but also solves the control-schedule discontinuity problem, especially during mode transition. The optimal control schedules are continuous and almost monotonic, and hence are strongly suitable for a control system, and are designed for two different working conditions, i.e., supersonic and subsonic throttling,which proves that the proposed hybrid method applies to various working conditions. The evaluation demonstrates that the proposed control method optimizes the engine performance, the surge margin of the compression components, and the range of the thrust during throttling. 展开更多

To study the change mechanism and the control of the variable cycle engine in the process of modal transition,a variable cycle engine model based on component level characteristics is established.The two-dimensional CFD technology is used to simulate the influence of mode selection valve rotation on the engine flow field,which improves the accuracy of the model.Furthermore,the constant flow control plan is proposed in the modal transition process to reduce the engine installed drag.The constant flow control plan adopts the augmentation linear quadratic regulator control method.Simulation results indicate that the control method is able to effectively control the bypass ratio and demand flow of the variable cycle engine,and make the engine transform smoothly,which ensures the stable operation of the engine in modal transition and the constant demand flow of the engine. 展开更多

The increase of the discharging reserve capacity due to the conjugated electrochemical reactions of the oxidation of hydrogen storage alloy is estimated. The results show that the failure mode of Ni/MH batteries developed is as follows: during the increase of cycles, the hydrogen storage alloy is oxidized continuously and the charging reserve capacity is decreased rapidly while the discharging reserve capacity is increased gradually, thus the internal pressure is increasing, first H 2 leaks out from the battery, then the mixture of H 2 and O 2. The leakage of gases and the total reaction of oxidation of the alloy consume H 2O, and the surface oxides on the alloy increase, so that the internal resistance of the battery increases. 展开更多

Application of PDCA Cycle in Training Clinical Skills of Regular Nurses

Methods: from May 2017 to May 2022, 500 regular nurses who received clinical skills training in our hospital were selected as the research objects. According to the two-color ball method, regular nurses were divided into two groups (reference group and research group) with 250 cases in each group. The reference group received routine training management while the research group received PDCA circular management mode. Observe the effects of different management modes on clinical skills training. Results: comparing the scores of theoretical knowledge assessment between the two groups after training, the research group is better than the reference group (P < 0.05);comparing the scores of clinical nursing skills assessment between the two groups after training, the study group is better than the reference group (P < 0.05);comparing the two groups satisfaction with training methods, the research group is higher than the reference group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: the application of PDCA circulation management mode in the training of clinical skills of regular nurses has a very ideal effect which can effectively improve their clinical practice skills, make them master theoretical knowledge more solidly and improve their professional quality, so that they can better adapt to post work. At the same time, nurses have a higher acceptance of this management mode which can better accept cooperation, stimulate their enthusiasm for learning and make them more recognized for teaching methods. 展开更多

实木托盘的生命周期评价

我国是托盘生产和消费大国,实木托盘是市场的主导产品,每年因此产生的进口材资源消耗巨大。为实现托盘产业的节材增效,新型托盘自动化生产工艺和以“循环共用”为特征的托盘使用模式近年来得到实践和倡导,但具体成效有待深入评估。本研... 我国是托盘生产和消费大国,实木托盘是市场的主导产品,每年因此产生的进口材资源消耗巨大。为实现托盘产业的节材增效,新型托盘自动化生产工艺和以“循环共用”为特征的托盘使用模式近年来得到实践和倡导,但具体成效有待深入评估。本研究采用生命周期的视角,分析实木托盘产品从原料获取到终了处理各阶段的物质和能量消耗,应用ReCiPe评价方法进行环境影响研究,以评估生产工艺和使用模式变化对托盘环境属性的影响。结果表明:实木托盘生命周期各阶段的环境影响顺序从大到小依次为原料获取、托盘使用、托盘生产和托盘终了,其中原料获取阶段占实木托盘环境影响的87.2%,是主要环境影响阶段。海洋运输和木材干燥是环境影响贡献最大的两个环节,产生的主要环境影响类别为化石资源消耗和气候变化-人类健康。实木托盘自动化生产的耗电量略大于人工生产,产生的环境影响比人工生产高5.63%,但因生产效率提升和劳动力消耗降低,在降本增效方面具有较大的优势。“循环共用”模式中,托盘产品的回收维修可以大幅减少托盘产业对原料和生产阶段的资源需求,木材和钢钉的消耗分别是一次性使用模式下的4.4%和5.0%,实木托盘的环境影响也相应降低,在原料获取和托盘生产两个阶段的降幅均达到95%,对托盘产业的可持续发展具有良好的推动作用。 展开更多

RBCC发动机引射模态是由一次火箭射流与二次空气流之间的主次流相互作用主导的,其对于引射进气特性、模态性能具有关键性影响。基于典型支板火箭RBCC流道特征模型,从收缩几何、流动组织角度进行了四个不同进气构型的宽工况冷喷流引射实验,获得了引射进气特性、主次流相互作用内流特性与规律。研究结果表明:随着一次流流量、总压比增加,二次流进气马赫数、流量逐渐增大至某一最大值,而引射流量比呈先增加后减小的趋势,针对本文实验最大引射比对应的主次流总压比大约在2倍左右,而最大引射流量对应的总压比在9~10倍之间;适当增加收缩比、收缩角对二次流引射进气能力具有协同提升作用,但存在一个提升幅度上限。从主次流内流过程来看,随着一次流流量、总压比增加,内流道压力分布整体上逐渐降低,马赫数分布逐渐提高,同时下游的引射增压比呈增大趋势,但主次流总压损失更大;较大收缩比、收缩半角时内流道压力更低、马赫数更高。随着总压比增加,主次流速度比、对流马赫数呈现减小趋势,而压力比、密度比则逐渐增大,较大收缩比、收缩角时主次流速度比降低、对流马赫数减小。 展开更多

The stability of slope rock masses is influenced by freeze-thaw cycles in cold region,and the mechanism of stability deterioration is not clear.In order to understand the damage and progressive failure characteristics of rock masses under the action of freezing and thawing,a model test was conducted on slope with steep joint in this study.The temperature,frost heaving pressure and deformation of slope rock mass were monitored in real-time during the test and the progressive failure mode was studied.The experimental results show that the temperature variations of cracking and the rock mass of a slope are different.There are obvious latent heat stages in the temperature-change plot in the crack,but not in the slope rock masses.The frost heaving effect in the fracture is closely related to the constraint conditions,which change with the deformation of the fracture.The frost heaving pressure fluctuates periodically during freezing and continues to decrease during thawing.The surface deformation of the rock mass increases during freezing,and the deformation is restored when it thaws.Freeze-thaw cycling results in residual deformation of the rock mass which cannot be fully restored.Analysis shows that the rock mass at the free side of the steep-dip joint rotates slightly under the frost heaving effect,causing fracture propagation.The fracture propagation pattern is a circular arc at the beginning,then extends to the possible sliding direction of the rock mass.Frost heaving force and fracture water pressure are the key factors for the failure of the slope,which can cause the crack to penetrate the rock mass,and a landslide ensues when the overall anti-sliding resistance of the rock mass is overcome. 展开更多

The high cycle fatigue(HCF) tests of modified 9 Cr-1 Mo dissimilarly welded joint were carried out at different elevated temperatures and the fracture mechanism was systematically revealed. The fatigue strength at 108 cycles based on S-N curve can be estimated as a half of weld joint's yield strength for all conducted temperatures, which can be a reliable criterion in predicting the fatigue life. The results show that the inter-critical heat affected zones(IC-HAZs) of both sides are the weak zones due to their low hardness and inferior fatigue resistance property. HAZ of COST-FB2(BM2) is the weakest zone at room temperature due to the existence of numerously distributed defects and the initiation of cracks, either in the surface or interior zone, impacting a crucial effect on the fatigue life of the joint. While at elevated temperatures, fatigue life was controlled mostly by the intrusion-extrusion mechanism at the specimen surface under high stress level and subsurface non-defect fatigue crack origin(SNDFCO) from the interior material under low stress amplitude. With increasing temperature, more and more fatigue failures began to occur at the HAZ of COST-E(BM1) due to its higher susceptibility of temperature. Besides, it is found that the-ferrite in the BM1 has no harm to the HCF behavior of the joint at the conducted temperatures. 展开更多

To reduce the drag generated by the recirculation flow at the rocket base in a RocketBased Combined Cycle(RBCC)engine operating in the ramjet/scramjet mode,a novel annular rocket RBCC engine based on a central plug cone was proposed.The performance loss mechanism caused by the recirculation flow at the rocket base and the influence of the plug cone configuration on the thrust performance were studied.Results indicated that the recirculation flow at the rocket base extended through the entire combustor,which creates an extensive range of the"low-kineticenergy zone"at the center and leads to an engine thrust loss.The plug cone serving as a surface structure had a restrictive effect on the internal flow of the engine,making it smoothly transit at the position of the large separation zone.The model RBCC engine could achieve a maximum thrust augmentation of 37.6%with a long plug cone that was twice diameter of the inner isolator.However,a shorter plug cone that was half diameter of the inner isolator proved less effective at reducing the recirculation flow for a supersonic flow and induced an undesirable flow fraction that diminished the thrust performance.Furthermore,the effectiveness of the plug cone increased with the flight Mach number,indicating that it could further broaden the operating speed range of the scramjet mode. 展开更多

The ultra-fine grained(UFG)pure titanium was prepared by equal channel angular pressing(ECAP)and rotary swaging(RS).The strain controlled low cycle fatigue(LCF)test was carried out at room temperature.The fatigue life prediction model and mean stress relaxation model under asymmetrical stress load were discussed.The results show that the strain ratio has a significant effect on the low cycle fatigue performance of the UFG pure titanium,and the traditional Manson-coffin model can not accurately predict the fatigue life under asymmetric stress load.Therefore,the SWT mean stress correction model and three-parameter power curve model are proposed,and the test results are verified.The final research shows that the threeparameter power surface model has better representation.By studying the mean stress relaxation phenomenon under the condition of R≠-1,it is revealed that the stress ratio and the strain amplitude are the factors that significantly afiect the mean stress relaxation rate,and the mean stress relaxation model with the two variables is calculated to describe the mean stress relaxation phenomenon of the UFG pure titanium under different strain ratios.The fracture morphology of the samples was observed by SEM,and it was concluded that the final fracture zone of the fatigue fracture of the UFG pure titanium was a mixture of ductile fracture and quasi cleavage fracture.The toughness of the material increases with the increase of strain ratio at the same strain amplitude. 展开更多

Because of the widely-used nonlinear loads, the problems of harmonics and low power factor in power systems are becoming more and more serious. In view of the above problems, a shunt three-phase active power filter (SAPF) based on discrete sliding mode control to suppress the harmonics was designed and the power factor improved. First, built the mathematical model of SAPF. Then, controlled the switch through analyzing the harmonic current that was controlled signal using discrete sliding mode control. Through simulation using MATLAB, verified the validity of the algorithm. By the simulation waveforms, it can be found that after the load current containing a large number of harmonics passes the active power filter, the waveform of the power current approximately becomes a sine wave and the harmonics is significantly reduced. As a result, it plays a good role in purifying power systems. Moreover, from the waveforms of harmonic current and power current, it can be found that the algorithm has a faster tracking speed.
