We discover two anomalies near T^(*)(~40 K) and T^(†)(~200 K) in the photoexcited carrier dynamics, which can be attributed to the electron-spin and spin-lattice scattering processes influenced by the magnetic phase transition and modifications in magnetic anisotropy. The magnetization change can be revealed by the dynamics of coherent acoustic phonon. We also observe abrupt changes in the photoinduced spin dynamics near T^(*)and T^(†), which not only illustrate the spin-related scatterings closely related to the long-range magnetic order, but also reveal the D'yakonov–Perel and Elliott–Yafet mechanisms dominating at temperatures below and above T^(†), respectively. Our findings provide important insights into the nonequilibrium properties of the photoexcited(In,Fe)Sb.展开更多

However, in magnets stacked by antiferromagnetic(AFM) exchange coupling, which have recently aroused significant interest for potential applications in spintronics, Bose–Einstein distribution populates magnon states across all energies from opposite eigenmodes, and hence the magnon spin current is largely compensated. Contrary to this common observation, here, we show that magnets with X-type AFM stacking, where opposite magnetic sublattices form orthogonal intersecting chains, support giant magnon spin currents with minimal compensation. Our model Hamiltonian calculations predict magnetic chain locking of magnon spin currents in these X-type magnets, significantly reducing their compensation ratio. In addition, the one-dimensional nature of the chain-like magnetic sublattices enhances magnon spin conductivities surpassing those of two-dimensional ferromagnets and canonical altermagnets. Notably, uncompensated X-type magnets, such as odd-layer antiferromagnets and ferrimagnets, can exhibit magnon spin currents polarized opposite to those expected by their net magnetization. These unprecedented properties of X-type magnets, combined with their inherent advantages resulting from AFM coupling, offer a promising new path for low-power high-performance spintronics.展开更多

文摘Altermagnets,a class of unconventional antiferromagnets with non-relativistic spin-splitting,offer promising potential for antiferromagnetic spintronic devices. While many altermagnets are limited by either low magnetic transition temperatures or weak spin splitting, the recently discovered metal CrSb,with high N′eel temperature(T_(N)=710 K)and significant spin-splitting due to its unique spin space group, provides a robust platform for remarkable tunneling magnetoresistance(TMR)in collinear all-antiferromagnetic tunnel junctions(AATJs).This study systematically investigates the spin-polarized Fermi surface of CrSb and spin-dependent electron transport in CrSb-based AATJs.The CrSb/β-InSe/CrSb junction with a three-monolayer InSe barrier exhibits a TMR ratio of approximately 290%,with energy-dependent analysis revealing TMR ratios that may exceed 850%when considering the shift of the Fermi energy. We also demonstrate the angle-dependent TMR of CrSb-based AATJs by adjusting N′eel vector orientations. Our findings might provide strong theoretical support for CrSb as a versatile building block for all-antiferromagnetic memory devices.

文摘Background:The bacterial biofilm poses a significant challenge to traditional antibiotic therapy. There is a great need to develop novel antibiofilm agents combined with biofilm disrupting and bacteria-killing without the dependence of antibiotic. Methods:Herein,we prepared ultrasound/magnetic field-responsive ferroferric oxide nanoparticles(Fe_(3)O_(4))/glucose oxidase microbubbles(FGMB)to form a cascade catalytic system for effective removing methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus biofilms.FGMB were prepared through interfacial self-assembly of Fe_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles(NPs)and glucose oxidase(GOx)at the gas-liquid interface stabilized by surfactants.Under ultrasound/magnetic field stimulation,FGMB disrupted biofilm architecture through microbubble collapse-induced microjets and magnetically driven displacement.Simultaneously,ultrasound-triggered rupture of FGMB released GOx and Fe_(3)O_(4) NPs.Glucose can be oxidized by GOx to generate gluconic acid and hydrogen peroxide which was subsequently catalyzed into hydroxyl radicals by Fe_(3)O_(4) NPs,enabling chemical eradication of biofilm-embedded bacteria. Results:Optical microscopy images demonstrated that FGMB have spherical structure with average size of approximately 17μm.FGMB showed a 65.4%decrease in methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus biofilm biomass and 1.1 log bacterial inactivation efficiency(91.2%),suggesting effective biofilm elimination. In vitro experimental results also indicate that FGMB have good biocompatibility. Conclusion:This antibiofilm strategy integrated dual modes of physical biofilm disruption with chemical bacteria-killing shows great potential as a versatile,non-resistant strategy for bacterial biofilm elimination.

文摘Freezing of gait is a significant and debilitating motor symptom often observed in individuals with Parkinson's disease.Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging, along with its multi-level feature indices, has provided a fresh perspective and valuable insight into the study of freezing of gait in Parkinson's disease. It has been revealed that Parkinson's disease is accompanied by widespread irregularities in inherent brain network activity. However, the effective integration of the multi-level indices of resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging into clinical settings for the diagnosis of freezing of gait in Parkinson's disease remains a challenge.Although previous studies have demonstrated that radiomics can extract optimal features as biomarkers to identify or predict diseases,a knowledge gap still exists in the field of freezing of gait in Parkinson's disease. This cross-sectional study aimed to evaluate the ability of radiomics features based on multi-level indices of resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging, along with clinical features,to distinguish between Parkinson's disease patients with and without freezing of gait.We recruited 28 patients with Parkinson's disease who had freezing of gait(15 men and 13 women, average age 63 years)and 30 patients with Parkinson's disease who had no freezing of gait(16 men and 14 women, average age 64 years).Magnetic resonance imaging scans were obtained using a 3.0T scanner to extract the mean amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations, mean regional homogeneity, and degree centrality.Neurological and clinical characteristics were also evaluated. We used the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator algorithm to extract features and established feedforward neural network models based solely on resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging indicators. We then performed predictive analysis of three distinct groups based on resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging indicators indicators combined with clinical features.Subsequently,we conducted 100 additional five-fold cross-validations to determine the most effective model for each classification task and evaluated the performance of the model using the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve. The results showed that when differentiating patients with Parkinson's disease who had freezing of gait from those who did not have freezing of gait,or from healthy controls, the models using only the mean regional homogeneity values achieved the highest area under the receiver operating characteristic curve values of 0.750(with an accuracy of 70.9%)and 0.759(with an accuracy of 65.3%),respectively.When classifying patients with Parkinson's disease who had freezing of gait from those who had no freezing of gait, the model using the mean amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation values combined with two clinical features achieved the highest area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of 0.847(with an accuracy of 74.3%).The most significant features for patients with Parkinson's disease who had freezing of gait were amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation alterations in the left parahippocampal gyrus and two clinical characteristics:Montreal Cognitive Assessment and Hamilton Depression Scale scores. Our findings suggest that radiomics features derived from resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging indices and clinical information can serve as valuable indices for the identification of freezing of gait in Parkinson's disease.

文摘Structural fine-tuning is of significant importance to enhance the magnetic anisotropy and elucidate the magneto-structural relationship for single molecule magnets(SMMs).For this purpose, two mononuclear Dy^(3+) SMMs:[Dy{HB(pz)3}2(Sal)](1) and [Dy{HB(pz)_(3)}_(2)(MeO-Sal)](2),where HB(pz)_(3)^(-)represents hydro tris(pyrazolyl)borate,Sal denotes salicyiaidehyde and MeO-Sal stands for 5-methoxysalicylaldehyde,were designed and synthesized.Single crystal X-ray diffraction tests show that the two SMMs have very similar eight-coordinated molecule structures, although the introducing of-MeO substituent on salicyiaidehyde ligand induces the changes on the molecule packing mode and the space group. Both the two SMMs have a Dy-O_(aryloxidebond) that is significantly shorter than other Dy-O/N bonds, which defines the orientation of main anisotropy axis of the ground Kramers doublets and engenders the slow relaxation of the magnetization behavior,as evidenced by the magnetic susceptibility and the ab initio calculation.Though with an electron-donating substituent on the axial Sal ligand in 2,the collective magnetic anisotropy is not enhanced and the corresponding magneto-structural relationship is discussed based on the experimental and theoretical calculation results. In addition,as neutral molecules,1 and 2 are soluble in several common organic solvents, like CH_(2)Cl_(2),CHCl_(3),THF and so on.

文摘Due to the ionic feature of the lanthanide ions,to straightly bridge two lanthanide(Ln)ions is rather challenging though this bridging mode is much beneficial to suppress the zero-field quantum tunneling of the magnetization(QTM)for single-molecule magnets(SMMs),a kind of nanosized magnetic materials for high-density information storage and magnetic resonance imaging contrast agent. Here we used an unusual terminal amino pyridine ligand which utilizes extensive supramolecular interactions to stabilize such an unusual linear bridging mode and obtained a series of such dimeric Ln(Ⅲ)complexes-{[LnL_(A)(4-NH_(2)py)_(5)]_(2)(μ-Cl)}[BPh_(4)]_(3)(For L_(A)^(-)=1-AdO^(-),1Ln;for L_(A)^(-)=~tBuO^(-),2Ln;Ln=Dy,Gd).More uniquely, the bridging chloride sits in the center of two improper rotation symmetry related Ln(Ⅲ)ions with local C_(5v)symmetry.The dimeric compounds 1Dy and 2Dy exhibit much slower low-temperature magnetic relaxation and thousands of times longer relaxation times at 2 K(τ_(2K)=2706.89 and 1437.05 s for 1Dy and 2Dy)compared to the diluted ones with the approaching magnetic property of the C_(5v)motifs(τ_(2K)=0.77 and 1.29 s for 1Dy@1Y and 2Dy@2Y).Though magnetic interactions mediated via the chloride bridge in both 1Dy and 2Dy are weak and antiferromagnetic,it is still very effective due to such a linear geometry to reduce the QTM effect in SMMs.

文摘We investigate the carrier, phonon, and spin dynamics in the ferromagnetic semiconductor(In,Fe)Sb using ultrafast optical pump-probe spectroscopy. Our findings provide important insights into the nonequilibrium properties of the photoexcited(In,Fe)Sb.

文摘We present a study of magnetic transport and radiation properties during compression of a magnetized laboratory plasma.A theta pinch is used to produce a magnetized plasma column undergoing radial implosion, with plasma parameters comprehensively measured through diverse diagnostic techniques.High-resolution observations show the implosion progressing through three stages:compression, expansion, and recompression. An anomalous demagnetization phenomenon is observed during the first compression stage, wherein the magnetic field at the plasma center is depleted as the density increases. We reveal the demagnetization mechanism and formulate a straightforward criterion for determining its occurrence, through analysis based on extended-magnetohydrodynamics theory and a generalized Ohm’s law.Additionally,we quantitatively evaluate the radiation losses and magnetic field variations during the two compression stages, providing experimental evidence that magnetic transport can influence the radiation properties by altering the plasma hydrodynamics.Furthermore, extrapolated results using our findings reveal direct relevance to magnetized inertial confinement fusion, space, and astrophysical plasma scenarios.

文摘Frustrated lanthanide oxides with dense magnetic lattice and suppressed ordering temperature have potential applications in cryogenic magnetic refrigeration.Herein, the crystal structure, magnetic properties, magnetic phase transition(MPT)together with magnetocaloric effect(MCE)of LnOF(Ln=Gd,Dy,Ho,and Er)compounds were investigated.Crystallographic study shows that these compounds crystallize in the centrosymmetric space group R3m with an ideal triangular lattice. No long-range magnetic ordering is observed above 2 K for LnOF(Ln=Gd,Ho,and Er).However,DyOF compound undergoes an MPT from paramagnetic(PM)to antiferromagnetic(AFM)at the Neel temperature(TN≈4 K).Considerable reversible MCE is observed in these triangular-lattice compounds.Under the magnetic field change(μ0ΔH)of 0-2 T,the maximum values of magnetic entropy change(-ΔSMmax)of them are 6.1,9.4,12.7,and 14.1 J/(kg·K),respectively.Interestingly,the value of ErOF with Ising-like spin is 2.3 times that of GdOF,which provides an approach for exploring magnetic refrigerants with excellent low-field cryogenic magnetocaloric effect.

文摘Alginate-based magnetic micro/millirobots have demonstrated significant potential for biomedical applications due to their flexible structures and capacity to carry various types of cargo, such as cells, enabling targeted therapy to specific diseased regions within the body.Their active therapy is typically achieved through magnetic actuation and magnetic heating, while monitored by medical imaging methods like CT which pose additional risks due to radiation exposure. In the last decades,a novel imaging method for superparamagnetic materials, known as magnetic particle imaging(MPI),has been under active development, offering not only positional tracking but also the ability to measure concentration and temperature. Here,we report the world's first MPI-traceable magnetic hydrogel robots, which employ a combination of iron oxide nanoflowers,NdFeB powder, and calcium alginate.Unlike previous magnetic alginate robots composed of a single magnetic material, the synergistic combination of NdFeB and nanoflowers enables these robots to exhibit triple magnetic functionalities:magnetic heating, locomotion at low magnetic fields, and tracking, all of which can be controlled using a single all-in-one electromagnetic coil system. The effects of various magnetization fields,as well as different concentrations of NdFeB and nanoflowers on the robots'magnetic properties were analyzed. This led to the development of three types of triple-function robots(spiral, droplet, and hybrid),with experimental results demonstrating biocompatibility,a magnetic heating temperature increase of over 10℃in plasma fluid under a magnetic field of 13 kA·m^(-1)at 200 kHz,locomotion speeds of up to 25 mm·s^(-1)in fields below 2 mT,and an MPI tracking error of 2.8 mm with a selection field of 0.4 mT·mm^(-1).Additionally,the robots'capacity for localized thermal therapy and selectively targeted cell delivery,as well as their locomotion within a medical phantom against a maximum flow of 50 mm·s^(-1)were demonstrated.

文摘Magnon spin currents in insulating magnets are useful for low-power spintronics. These unprecedented properties of X-type magnets, combined with their inherent advantages resulting from AFM coupling, offer a promising new path for low-power high-performance spintronics.

文摘The results of the study of the effect of partial substitution of Fe by Mn in the La Fe_(11.2-x)Mn_(x)Co_(0.7)Si_(1.1)system on magnetization, specific heat, magnetostriction and magnetocaloric effect are presented.Direct measurements of the adiabatic temperature change(ΔT_(ad))were carried out in alternating magnetic fields(AMF)using the magnetic field modulation method.Partial substitution of Fe atoms by Mn atoms leads to a shift in the Curie temperature(T_(C))towards lower temperatures without a noticeable deterioration in magnetic properties.A correlation was found between the structural component of the magnetocaloric effect and the stability of the frequency of theΔT_(ad)in the AMFs—an increase in the manganese concentration leads to a decrease in magnetostriction and to a lower dependence ofΔT_(ad)on the frequency of the magnetic field.Estimates of the specific cooling power Q_(C)as a function of the frequency of the AMF showed that the highest value of Q_(C)at f=20 Hz in a magnetic field of 12k Oe is 26.3 W g^(-1)and is observed for the composition with x=0.1.This value is higher than that of Gd,for which, under the same conditions,Q_(C)=21.6 W g^(-1).All the samples studied show stability of the value ofΔT_(ad)without any sign of deterioration of the effect up to 60,000cycles of switching on/off of the magnetic field of 12 k Oe.The discovered frequency and cyclic stability ofΔT_(ad)of the studied samples increase their prospects for application in magnetic cooling technology.

文摘The angular dependence of magnetoresistance(MR)in antiferromagnetic half-Heusler HoAuSn single crystals has been systematically studied.Negative MR,as large as~99%,is observed at 9 T,is not restricted to the specific configuration of applied magnetics fields and current and can persist up to 20 K,much higher than the Ne'el temperature(T_(N)≈1.9 K).Experiments and first-principles calculations suggest that the observed large negative MR is derived from a magnetic field that reconstructs the band structure and induces a Weyl point, which changes the carrier concentration.

文摘In this work,Ga-doped Ce RhIn_(5) single crystals are grown by In/Ga flux method.Single-crystal X-ray diffraction, magnetic susceptibility, specific heat, and neutron diffraction measurements are utilized to characterize the sample quality and the antiferromagnetic transition temperature T_(N).By substituting In with Ga,T_(N) is slightly decreased, but the antiferromagnetic transition peaks in magnetic susceptibility and specific heat measurements are obviously broadened by external field along c-axis.By comparing with Zn-doped Ce RhIn_(5),it can be concluded that T_(N) is dominated by electron density, and the stiffness of antiferromagnetic transition is obviously reduced by Ga substitution. The substitution effects of Ga are possibly caused by forming heterogeneous local structures, which avoids quantum critical point, superconductivity, and non-Fermi liquid states.Investigations on Gadoped Ce RhIn_(5) help to comprehend the chemical substitution effects in Ce RhIn_(5),and the interaction between heterogeneous structure and long-range antiferromagnetic states.
文摘Ultrasmall superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles(usSPIONs)are promising alternatives to gadolinium‐based contrast agents for positive contrast enhancement in magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).Unlike larger SPIONs that primarily function as T2/T2*negative contrast agents,usSPIONs with core diameters below 5 nm can effectively shorten T1 relaxation times, producing bright signals in T1‐weighted images. This distinct behavior stems from their unique magnetic properties, including single‐domain configurations, surface spin canting, and rapid Néel relaxation dynamics, which are particularly enhanced at low magnetic field strengths. The biocompatibility of iron oxide, efficient renal clearance pathways, and versatility for surface functionalization offer potential advantages over gadolinium‐based agents, especially regarding safety concerns related to nephrogenic systemic fibrosis and gadolinium deposition. These nanoparticles show particular promise for applications in lowfield MRI,vascular imaging, targeted molecular imaging, and theranostic platforms.Although challenges remain in optimizing synthesis methods for consistent production of monodisperse usSPIONs with tailored surface chemistry, ongoing research continues to advance their potential for clinical translation. This review explores the mechanisms, synthesis approaches, applications, and future perspectives of usSPIONs as positive contrast agents in MRI.

文摘Gradient magnetic heterointerfaces have injected infinite vitality in optimizing impedance matching, adjusting dielectric/magnetic resonance and promoting electromagnetic(EM)wave absorption, but still exist a significant challenging in regulating local phase evolution.Herein,accordion-shaped Co/Co_(3)O_(4)@N-doped carbon nanosheets(Co/Co_(3)O_(4)@NC)with gradient magnetic heterointerfaces have been fabricated via the cooperative high-temperature carbonization and lowtemperature oxidation process. The results indicate that the surface epitaxial growth of crystal Co_(3)O_(4) domains on local Co nanoparticles realizes the adjustment of magnetic-heteroatomic components, which are beneficial for optimizing impedance matching and interfacial polarization. Moreover, gradient magnetic heterointerfaces simultaneously realize magnetic coupling, and long-range magnetic diffraction.Specifically, the synthesized Co/Co_(3)O_(4)@NC absorbents display the strong electromagnetic wave attenuation capability of−53.5 dB at a thickness of 3.0 mm with an effective absorption bandwidth of 5.36 GHz,both are superior to those of single magnetic domains embedded in carbon matrix. This design concept provides us an inspiration in optimizing interfacial polarization, regulating magnetic coupling and promoting electromagnetic wave absorption.
