To this end, fieldworks, mineralogical and geochemical ...This study was focused to assess major and trace elements in bauxitic duricrusts from Ngaoundal and its surroundings in order to establish their mining interest. To this end, fieldworks, mineralogical and geochemical analyses were carried out. Four facies of duricrust were identified and characterized from the summit to the top of the slope of the Ngaoundal mountain: scoriaceous, pisolitic, nodular and massive. Mineralogical and geochemical analyses performed on 16 samples, revealed a significant concentration of Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> mainly in the scoriaceous facies (over 45% in grade), moderate in Fe<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> (averaging 23.69%) and SiO<sub>2</sub> (averaging 21.7%). Trace elements were generally low, excluding Cr (421 ppm on average), Zr (327 ppm on average and V (213 ppm on average). In addition, the limited quantities of alkalis (Na<sub>2</sub>O, K<sub>2</sub>O) and alkaline earths metals (MgO, CaO) coupled with the very high values of Chemical Index of Alteration (CIA) and Mineralogical Index of Alteration (MIA), (more than 99%) attest to the intense weathering of the studied materials. Allitization and monosiallitization constituted the crystallochemical phenomena that have led to the development of bauxitic minerals. More than 90% of gibbsite in scoriaceous facies, 52.21% - 76.01% of kaolinite in pisolitic facies and more than 40% of hematite in nodular facies were quantified. The relationships between the constitutive components indicated their interdependency during the bauxitization phenomenon. The mineralogical and geochemical properties highlighted the mining interest of the studied duricrusts to be valorized.展开更多

Methods: A cost effectiveness of treating Chinese patients with MDD for 6 months maintenance period has been estimated by a decision tree model. The relative effectiveness on relapse rates came from a recent network meta analysis by Kishi et al. (2023) along with local drug cost data based on WHO defined daily dose (DDD) and relapse cost for the 6 months estimated from various sources were used in the model. Based on the Quality Adjusted Life Years (QALY) gain reported by Sobocki et al. (2007), QALY loss from a relapse was estimated. Univariate sensitivity analyses were presented by a Tornado diagram and extensive probabilistic sensitivity analysis based on 10,000 simulations was performed. The most recent cost effectiveness threshold of 1.5 times GDP suggested by Cai et al. (2022) was applied. Results: Fluvoxamine dominated desvenlafaxine (cost savings of 4003 CNY and 0.01 QALY higher in 6 months). The most sensitive parameters were relapse rates followed by desvenlafaxine cost and utility loss of relapse. However, the default result of fluvoxamine dominance was not changed for any univariate sensitivity analysis. The probabilistic sensitivity result showed the cost effectiveness acceptability at 1.5 times GDP as 99.93%. Conclusions: The cost effectiveness of fluvoxamine against desvenlafaxine among Chinese patients with MDD in a 6-month maintenance period was cost saving with better effectiveness (i.e., dominating) with low uncertainty.展开更多

It varies from 0 to 10 points divided into three risk categories (0 to 4 high, 5 to 7 moderate, 8 to 10 low). The aim of the study was to evaluate its relevance in predicting the appearance of these complications. Material and methods: This descriptive and analytical study was carried out at the “Laquintinie” Hospital in Douala and at the Central Hospital in Yaounde, Cameroon. The main data were collected on a population of patients over 18 years old and recorded on a survey form. They consisted of variables of main interest and exposure variables. Univariate and multivariate statistical analysis using top-down logistic regression models made it possible to evaluate the association of each variable of main interest and each exposure variable. The association was significant at P Results: Of the 88 patients studied, the SAS was 3 hours. In multivariate, this link persisted only and strongly for the SAS OR (IC) 0.1 (0.1 - 0.2) and p = 000. Conclusion: The study found a specific and powerful link between the SAS score < 4 and the occurrence of complications in the early postoperative period, in favor of its relevance in predicting them.展开更多
Introduction: Sickle cell disease is the most widespread genetic disorder in the world. This study aimed to investigate the epidemiological, clinical, biological, and therapeutic aspects of sickle cell anemia in Marad...Introduction: Sickle cell disease is the most widespread genetic disorder in the world. This study aimed to investigate the epidemiological, clinical, biological, and therapeutic aspects of sickle cell anemia in Maradi, Niger. Methodology: This was a retrospective descriptive study carried out at the Centre Hospitalier Régional (CHR) of Maradi over 12 months, from September 2021 to August 2022. Results: This study included 246 patients with sickle cell anemia. The average age was 7.9 years, ranging from 0 to 16 years, and a sex ratio of 1.2. We observed kinship in 54.9% of the parents of sickle cell patients. Among the fathers, 62.6% were primarily blue-collar workers, while 87.4% of the mothers were housewives. Clinically, we observed pallor in 78.5% of the patients, jaundice in 43.5%, splenomegaly in 12.6%, and hepatomegaly in 11.8%. The most common vaso-occlusive crises involved osteoarticular pain (34.6%), followed by hand-foot syndrome (26.4%) and abdominal pain (20.3%). The SS form predominated biologically, representing 93.5% of cases, while double heterozygotes SC represented 6.5%. Most patients (56.5%) presented with severe anemia, with moderate anemia observed in 38.6% of cases. All patients received folic acid. Level I and II analgesics were used in 82.6% and 46.7% of patients, respectively, and patients received non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in 72.3% of cases. A small proportion of patients (7.8%) were on background treatment with Hydrea. Conclusion: The results of our study are similar to those often described in sickle cell anemia.展开更多

This thesis based on the existing reading strategy research, tries to discuss the characteristics of art major students' English reading strategy use and further analyzes the factors that influence the choosing of reading strategies among art major students in Hubei University Zhixing College which is an independent college in Wuhan city Hubei Province.Based on the investigation results and survey results of the interview, this thesis presents some reading strategy teaching strategies for improving English language reading strategy teaching:
