摘要
This thesis conducts a study of avoidance phenomenon in the English writing of English majors in Shandong University ofTechnology. Instruments used in the study are 180 English writing samples of the 2 ndgrade English majors, questionnaires and in-terviews. Based on the data collected, different kinds of avoidance are analyzed. Further, reasons behind avoidance are exploredand corresponding implications are given.
