Objective:To evaluate the efficacy of the modified Gui Fu Ling Wu Decoction in treating diabetic nephropathy(DN)of the spleen-kidney Yang deficiency type.Methods:A total of 100 DN patients admitted to Changyi Traditio...Objective:To evaluate the efficacy of the modified Gui Fu Ling Wu Decoction in treating diabetic nephropathy(DN)of the spleen-kidney Yang deficiency type.Methods:A total of 100 DN patients admitted to Changyi Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital between August 2023 and March 2024 were included in the study.Patients were randomly divided into a control group and a study group,each comprising 50 cases,using a computerized random number generator.The control group received kallikrein treatment,while the study group received a combination of kallikrein and the modified Gui Fu Ling Wu Decoction.Blood glucose control,renal function,and inflammatory markers were assessed before and after treatment in both groups.Results:Before treatment,there were no significant differences in blood glucose and renal function indicators between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,postprandial blood glucose,fasting blood glucose,24-hour urinary protein,urinary microalbumin,serum creatinine,serum C-reactive protein(CRP),and interleukin-6 levels significantly decreased in both groups,with the study group showing superior results compared to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of Gui Fu Ling Wu Decoction and kallikrein for treating spleen-kidney Yang deficiency type DN significantly improves blood glucose control,enhances renal function,and reduces inflammatory responses.展开更多

AIM To verify the hypothesis that the Ling classification describes the endoscopic progressive process of achalasia and determine the ability of successful peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) to prevent endoscopic progr...AIM To verify the hypothesis that the Ling classification describes the endoscopic progressive process of achalasia and determine the ability of successful peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) to prevent endoscopic progression of achalasia. METHODS We retrospectively reviewed the endoscopic findings, symptom duration, and manometric data in patients with achalasia. A total of 359 patients (197 women, 162 men) with a mean age of 42.1 years (range, 12-75 years) were evaluated. Symptom duration ranged from 2 to 360 mo, with a median of 36 mo. Patients were classified with Ling type I (n = 119), II a (n = 106),II b (n = 60),II c (n = 60), or III (n = 14), according to the Ling classification. Of the 359 patients, 349 underwent POEM, among whom 21 had an endoscopic follow-up for more than 2 years. Pre-treatment and post-treatment Ling classifications of these 21 patients were compared. RESULTS Symptom duration increased significantly with increasing Ling classification (from I to III) (p < 0.05), whereas lower esophageal sphincter pressure decreased with increasing Ling type (from I to III) (p < 0.05). There was no difference in sex ratio or onset age among the Ling types, although the age at time of diagnosis was higher in Ling types I c and III than in Ling types I, IIa, and I b. Of the 21 patients, 19 underwent high-resolution manometry both before and after treatment. The mean preoperative and postoperative lower esophageal sphincter pressure were 34.6 mmHg (range, 15.3-59.4 mmHg) and 15.0 mmHg (range, 2.1-21.6 mmHg), respectively, indicating a statistically significant decrease after POEM. All of the 21 patients were treated successfully by POEM (postoperative Eckardt score <= 3) and still had the same Ling type during a mean follow-up period of 37.8 mo (range, 24-51 mo). CONCLUSION The Ling classification represents the endoscopic progressive process of achalasia and may be able to serve as an endoscopic assessment criterion for achalasia. Successful POEM (Eckardt score <= 3) seems to have the ability to prevent endoscopic evolvement of achalasia. However, studies with larger populations are warranted to confirm our findings.展开更多

The shells are reinforced by FGM stringers and rings. The thermal elements of the shells and stiffeners in the fundamental equations are considered. The equilibrium and nonlinear stability equations in terms of the displacement components for the stiffened shells are derived with the third-order shear deformation theory and Leckhniskii smeared stiffener technique. The closed-form expressions for determining the buckling load and postbuckling load-deflection curves are obtained with the Galerkin method. The effects of the stiffeners, the foundations, the material and dimensional parameters, and the pre-existent axial compressive and thermal load are considered.展开更多
In order to solve the problem of rib spalling of high coal walls in fully-mechanized(HCWFM)mines,we used the principle of damage mechanics to analyze coal wall rib spalling.The results show that coal wall rib spalling...In order to solve the problem of rib spalling of high coal walls in fully-mechanized(HCWFM)mines,we used the principle of damage mechanics to analyze coal wall rib spalling.The results show that coal wall rib spalling is,to a certain degree,a macro-performance of the development of micro-cracks.We built a mechanical model to simulate the damage to the front of coal walls,carried out theoretical calculations of the damage parameters,analyzed the effect of mining height,original cracks,seam strength,horizontal stress,vertical displacement of the coal walls and other parameters on coal wall rib spalling, which conform well with the results of our field measurements and numerical simulation.The key to control coal wall rib spalling is to control the development of cracks in coal walls.Accelerating the speed of advancing the working face,improving the setting load of support and the horizontal force of the guard board,strengthening coal walls and other technical measures can effectively reduce the degree of damage to the coal walls and control coal wall rib spalling at HCWFM faces.展开更多
Twenty castrated male goats, each of Yun-Ling Black goats (YLB goat), N × YLB hybrid goats (Nubian ♂ ×Yun-Ling Black goats 9) and B × YLB hybrid goats (Boer ♂× Yun-Ling Black goats ♀), wer...Twenty castrated male goats, each of Yun-Ling Black goats (YLB goat), N × YLB hybrid goats (Nubian ♂ ×Yun-Ling Black goats 9) and B × YLB hybrid goats (Boer ♂× Yun-Ling Black goats ♀), were used to evaluate the effect of crossbreeding on the meat chemical composition in the YLB goats of China. After weaning of 90 days, all the experimental goats were reared on natural pasture when they were slaughtered at an age of 730 days. The longissimus dorsi (LD) and biceps femoris (BF) muscles were sampled from each carcass to determine chemical compositions. Both hybrid goats had higher protein content (P 〈 0.01) and lower fat content (P 〈 0.05) than the YLB goats in the two types of muscle. The inosinic acid contents of LD muscle for the YLB goats and the B × YLB hybrid goats were significantly higher (P 〈 0.05) than that for the N × YLB hybrid goats. The LD muscle from the YLB goats contained higher essential amino acid (P 〈 0.01), total amino acid (P 〈 0.01), and some individual amino acid (P 〈 0.05) than those from the hybrid goats. The concentration of unsaturated fatty acid (USFA) of LD muscle from the N × YLB hybrid goats was significantly higher than the other two goat breeds (P〈0.05) but did not differ between the other two goat breeds (P〉0.05). The YLB goats had significantly higher (P〈0.05) concentrations of oleic acid (C18:1) and linolenic acid (C18:3) of LD muscle than the hybrid goats, had significantly higher (P 〈 0.05) proportion of mono-unsaturated (Sum for C 16:1 and C 18:1) than the B ×YLB hybrid goats, and tended to be higher than the N × YLB hybrid goats (P 〉 0.05). In contrast, the proportion of poly-unsaturated in the YLB goats was significantly lower (P 〈 0.05) than that in the hybrid goats.展开更多

This marvelous ability enables dragonflies to overcome the contradictory requirements of both light-weight-wing and heavy-weight-wing, and displays the multi-optimal mechanisms for the excellent flying ability and dynamic control capac- ity of dragonflies. The fermented Chinese formula Shuan-Tong-Ling is composed of radix puerariae(Gegen),salvia miltiorrhiza(Danshen),radix curcuma(Jianghuang),hawthorn(Shanzha),salvia chinensis(Shijianchuan),sinapis alba(Baiji...The fermented Chinese formula Shuan-Tong-Ling is composed of radix puerariae(Gegen),salvia miltiorrhiza(Danshen),radix curcuma(Jianghuang),hawthorn(Shanzha),salvia chinensis(Shijianchuan),sinapis alba(Baijiezi),astragalus(Huangqi),panax japonicas(Zhujieshen),atractylodes macrocephala koidz(Baizhu),radix paeoniae alba(Baishao),bupleurum(Chaihu),chrysanthemum(Juhua),rhizoma cyperi(Xiangfu) and gastrodin(Tianma),whose aqueous extract was fermented with lactobacillus,bacillus aceticus and saccharomycetes.ShuanTong-Ling is a formula used to treat brain diseases including ischemic stroke,migraine,and vascular dementia.Shuan-Tong-Ling attenuated H_2O_2-induced oxidative stress in rat microvascular endothelial cells.However,the potential mechanism involved in these effects is poorly understood.Rats were intragastrically treated with 5.7 or 17.2 m L/kg Shuan-Tong-Ling for 7 days before middle cerebral artery occlusion was induced.The results indicated Shuan-Tong-Ling had a cerebral protective effect by reducing infarct volume and increasing neurological scores.Shuan-Tong-Ling also decreased tumor necrosis factor-α and interleukin-1β levels in the hippocampus on the ischemic side.In addition,Shuan-Tong-Ling upregulated the expression of SIRT1 and Bcl-2 and downregulated the expression of acetylated-protein 53 and Bax.Injection of 5 mg/kg silent information regulator 1(SIRT1) inhibitor EX527 into the subarachnoid space once every 2 days,four times,reversed the above changes.These results demonstrate that Shuan-Tong-Ling might benefit cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury by reducing inflammation and apoptosis through activation of the SIRT1 signaling pathway.展开更多

METHODS: In this study, we carried out gavage with SZL oral...OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effector mechanisms and effector targets of Shen-Zhi-Ling (SZL) oral solution in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease (AD). METHODS: In this study, we carried out gavage with SZL oral solution in an APP/PS-1 heterozygous double transgenic AD mouse model for 12 continuous weeks. Haematoxylin and eosin staining, Nissl staining and Annexin V/Propidium Iodide staining were used to detect the brain histopathology in AD mouse model. Immunofluorescence staining was used to detect the expression levels of autophagy's proteins. Morris water maze test was used to detect the learning and memory ability in AD mouse model. RESULTS: Pathological results showed that neuronal loss in the hippocampus of mice in the SZL intervention group was significantly alleviated and the number of apoptotic neurons was significantly decreased compared with the control group (physiological saline and non-intervention groups). Immunofluorescence staining results showed that the expression of autophagy activators, Beclin-1 and LC3B, was significantly increased in the hippocampal neurons of mice of the SZL intervention group, while the expression of the apoptotic factor, caspase- 3, was significantly decreased. At the same time, hippocampal accumulation of Aβ42 protein was significantly decreased. In addition, results of the water maze experiment showed that the latency period in mice from the SZL intervention group was significantly reduced. CONCLUSION: In summary, we believe that the SZL oral solution significantly activates autophagy in hippocampal neurons, effectively reducing the accumulation of Aβ42 peptides, alleviating neuronal injury and apoptosis, and ultimately improving the cognitive function in a mouse model of AD.展开更多

It has been demonstrated to be clinically effective for various inflammatory diseases such as ac...Bi-yuan-ling granule(BLG) is a traditional Chinese medicine compound composed mainly of baicalin and chlorogenic acid. It has been demonstrated to be clinically effective for various inflammatory diseases such as acute rhinitis, chronic rhinitis, atrophic rhinitis and allergic rhinitis. However, the underlying mechanisms of BLG against these diseases are not fully understood. This study aimed to explore the anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities of BLG, and examine its protective effects on mouse acute lung injury(ALI). The hot plate test and acetic acid-induced writhing assay in Kunming mice were adopted to evaluate the pain-relieving effects of BLG. The anti-inflammatory activities of BLG were determined by examining the effects of BLG on xylene-caused ear swelling in Kunming mice, the cotton pellet-induced granuloma in rats, carrageenan-induced hind paw edema and lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced acute lung injury(ALI) in mice. The results showed that BLG at 15.5 mg/g could significantly relieve the pain by 82.5%(P〈0.01) at 1 h after thermal stimulation and 91.2%(P〈0.01) at 2 h after thermal stimulation. BLG at doses of 7.75 and 15.5 mg/g reduced the writhing count up to 33.3%(P〈0.05) and 53.4%(P〈0.01), respectively. Additionally, the xylene-induced edema in mice was markedly restrained by BLG at 7.75 mg/g(P〈0.05) and 15.5 mg/g(P〈0.01). BLG at 5.35 and 10.7 mg/g significantly reduced paw edema by 34.8%(P〈0.05) and 37.9%(P〈0.05) at 5 h after carrageenan injection. The granulomatous formation of the cotton pellet was profoundly suppressed by BLG at 2.68, 5.35 and 10.7 mg/g by 15.4%, 38.2%(P〈0.01) and 58.9%(P〈0.001), respectively. BLG also inhibited lung W/D ratio and the release of prostaglandin E2(PGE2) in ALI mice. In addition, the median lethal dose(LD_(50)), median effective dose(ED_(50)) and half maximal inhibitory concentration(IC50) of BLG were found to be 42.7, 3.2 and 12.33 mg/g, respectively. All the findings suggest that BLG has significantly anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects and it may help reduce the damage of ALI.展开更多

Objective:To explore and verify the mechanism of Gan Dou Ling in improving liver fibrosis in Wilson disease(WD)by network pharmacology and copper loaded mice experiments.Methods:The main chemical components and corres...Objective:To explore and verify the mechanism of Gan Dou Ling in improving liver fibrosis in Wilson disease(WD)by network pharmacology and copper loaded mice experiments.Methods:The main chemical components and corresponding gene targets of each drug in Gan Dou Ling were obtained by using TCMSP database.The database of gene mutation and disease related gene was searched through the GeneCards database,DrugBank database,PharmGKB database and the DisGeNET database.After the intersection of drug and disease target genes.The STRING website was used to analyze the protein-protein interaction degree of target genes,and import the data to Cytoscape software 38.2 to analyze protein interaction network.The GO databases and KEGG databases were obtained in R language for enrichment analysis.On this basis,Masson staining were used to observe the degree of liver fibrosis in copper loaded mouse model,and the results of network pharmacological analysis were verified by Western Blot(WB).Results:A total of 108 drug disease intersection genes were analyzed by network pharmacology.Through PPI network analysis,JUN was found to be the key genes.The enrichment analysis of KEGG pathway showed that MAPK signal pathway was the important potential target pathways.Animal experiments showed that Gan Dou Ling could reduce liver fibrosis and inhibit the phosphorylation of P38,JNK and C-JUN in copper loaded mice.Conclusion:Gan Dou Ling may achieve the effect of treating WD liver fibrosis by inhibiting P38/JNK signaling pathway.展开更多

文摘Twenty castrated male goats, each of Yun-Ling Black goats (YLB goat), N × YLB hybrid goats (Nubian ♂ ×Yun-Ling Black goats 9) and B × YLB hybrid goats (Boer ♂× Yun-Ling Black goats ♀), were used to evaluate the effect of crossbreeding on the meat chemical composition in the YLB goats of China. After weaning of 90 days, all the experimental goats were reared on natural pasture when they were slaughtered at an age of 730 days. The longissimus dorsi (LD) and biceps femoris (BF) muscles were sampled from each carcass to determine chemical compositions. Both hybrid goats had higher protein content (P 〈 0.01) and lower fat content (P 〈 0.05) than the YLB goats in the two types of muscle. The inosinic acid contents of LD muscle for the YLB goats and the B × YLB hybrid goats were significantly higher (P 〈 0.05) than that for the N × YLB hybrid goats. The LD muscle from the YLB goats contained higher essential amino acid (P 〈 0.01), total amino acid (P 〈 0.01), and some individual amino acid (P 〈 0.05) than those from the hybrid goats. The concentration of unsaturated fatty acid (USFA) of LD muscle from the N × YLB hybrid goats was significantly higher than the other two goat breeds (P〈0.05) but did not differ between the other two goat breeds (P〉0.05). The YLB goats had significantly higher (P〈0.05) concentrations of oleic acid (C18:1) and linolenic acid (C18:3) of LD muscle than the hybrid goats, had significantly higher (P 〈 0.05) proportion of mono-unsaturated (Sum for C 16:1 and C 18:1) than the B ×YLB hybrid goats, and tended to be higher than the N × YLB hybrid goats (P 〉 0.05). In contrast, the proportion of poly-unsaturated in the YLB goats was significantly lower (P 〈 0.05) than that in the hybrid goats.

文摘This paper aims to reveal the multi-optimal mechanisms for dynamic control in drag- onfly wings. By combining the Arnold circulation with such micro/nano structures as the hollow inside constructions of the pterostigma, veins and spikes, dragonfly wings can create variable mass, variable rotating inertia and variable natural frequency. This marvelous ability enables dragonflies to overcome the contradictory requirements of both light-weight-wing and heavy-weight-wing, and displays the multi-optimal mechanisms for the excellent flying ability and dynamic control capac- ity of dragonflies. These results provide new perspectives for understanding the wings' functions and new inspirations for bionic manufactures.

文摘The fermented Chinese formula Shuan-Tong-Ling is composed of radix puerariae(Gegen),salvia miltiorrhiza(Danshen),radix curcuma(Jianghuang),hawthorn(Shanzha),salvia chinensis(Shijianchuan),sinapis alba(Baijiezi),astragalus(Huangqi),panax japonicas(Zhujieshen),atractylodes macrocephala koidz(Baizhu),radix paeoniae alba(Baishao),bupleurum(Chaihu),chrysanthemum(Juhua),rhizoma cyperi(Xiangfu) and gastrodin(Tianma),whose aqueous extract was fermented with lactobacillus,bacillus aceticus and saccharomycetes.ShuanTong-Ling is a formula used to treat brain diseases including ischemic stroke,migraine,and vascular dementia.Shuan-Tong-Ling attenuated H_2O_2-induced oxidative stress in rat microvascular endothelial cells.However,the potential mechanism involved in these effects is poorly understood.Rats were intragastrically treated with 5.7 or 17.2 m L/kg Shuan-Tong-Ling for 7 days before middle cerebral artery occlusion was induced.The results indicated Shuan-Tong-Ling had a cerebral protective effect by reducing infarct volume and increasing neurological scores.Shuan-Tong-Ling also decreased tumor necrosis factor-α and interleukin-1β levels in the hippocampus on the ischemic side.In addition,Shuan-Tong-Ling upregulated the expression of SIRT1 and Bcl-2 and downregulated the expression of acetylated-protein 53 and Bax.Injection of 5 mg/kg silent information regulator 1(SIRT1) inhibitor EX527 into the subarachnoid space once every 2 days,four times,reversed the above changes.These results demonstrate that Shuan-Tong-Ling might benefit cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury by reducing inflammation and apoptosis through activation of the SIRT1 signaling pathway.

文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effector mechanisms and effector targets of Shen-Zhi-Ling (SZL) oral solution in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease (AD). METHODS: In this study, we carried out gavage with SZL oral solution in an APP/PS-1 heterozygous double transgenic AD mouse model for 12 continuous weeks. Haematoxylin and eosin staining, Nissl staining and Annexin V/Propidium Iodide staining were used to detect the brain histopathology in AD mouse model. Immunofluorescence staining was used to detect the expression levels of autophagy's proteins. Morris water maze test was used to detect the learning and memory ability in AD mouse model. RESULTS: Pathological results showed that neuronal loss in the hippocampus of mice in the SZL intervention group was significantly alleviated and the number of apoptotic neurons was significantly decreased compared with the control group (physiological saline and non-intervention groups). Immunofluorescence staining results showed that the expression of autophagy activators, Beclin-1 and LC3B, was significantly increased in the hippocampal neurons of mice of the SZL intervention group, while the expression of the apoptotic factor, caspase- 3, was significantly decreased. At the same time, hippocampal accumulation of Aβ42 protein was significantly decreased. In addition, results of the water maze experiment showed that the latency period in mice from the SZL intervention group was significantly reduced. CONCLUSION: In summary, we believe that the SZL oral solution significantly activates autophagy in hippocampal neurons, effectively reducing the accumulation of Aβ42 peptides, alleviating neuronal injury and apoptosis, and ultimately improving the cognitive function in a mouse model of AD.

文摘Bi-yuan-ling granule(BLG) is a traditional Chinese medicine compound composed mainly of baicalin and chlorogenic acid. It has been demonstrated to be clinically effective for various inflammatory diseases such as acute rhinitis, chronic rhinitis, atrophic rhinitis and allergic rhinitis. However, the underlying mechanisms of BLG against these diseases are not fully understood. This study aimed to explore the anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities of BLG, and examine its protective effects on mouse acute lung injury(ALI). The hot plate test and acetic acid-induced writhing assay in Kunming mice were adopted to evaluate the pain-relieving effects of BLG. The anti-inflammatory activities of BLG were determined by examining the effects of BLG on xylene-caused ear swelling in Kunming mice, the cotton pellet-induced granuloma in rats, carrageenan-induced hind paw edema and lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced acute lung injury(ALI) in mice. The results showed that BLG at 15.5 mg/g could significantly relieve the pain by 82.5%(P〈0.01) at 1 h after thermal stimulation and 91.2%(P〈0.01) at 2 h after thermal stimulation. BLG at doses of 7.75 and 15.5 mg/g reduced the writhing count up to 33.3%(P〈0.05) and 53.4%(P〈0.01), respectively. Additionally, the xylene-induced edema in mice was markedly restrained by BLG at 7.75 mg/g(P〈0.05) and 15.5 mg/g(P〈0.01). BLG at 5.35 and 10.7 mg/g significantly reduced paw edema by 34.8%(P〈0.05) and 37.9%(P〈0.05) at 5 h after carrageenan injection. The granulomatous formation of the cotton pellet was profoundly suppressed by BLG at 2.68, 5.35 and 10.7 mg/g by 15.4%, 38.2%(P〈0.01) and 58.9%(P〈0.001), respectively. BLG also inhibited lung W/D ratio and the release of prostaglandin E2(PGE2) in ALI mice. In addition, the median lethal dose(LD_(50)), median effective dose(ED_(50)) and half maximal inhibitory concentration(IC50) of BLG were found to be 42.7, 3.2 and 12.33 mg/g, respectively. All the findings suggest that BLG has significantly anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects and it may help reduce the damage of ALI.

文摘Two new eremophilane sesquiterpene lactones, 1β-angeloyloxy-6β, 10β-dihydroxy-8β- methoxyeremophila-7(ll)en-8α,12-olide and 1β-angeloyloxy-6β,10α-dihydroxy-8α-methoxyeremo- phila-7( 11)en-8β, 12-olide were isolated from the extract of the whole plant of Ligularia myriocephala Ling. Their structures and stereochemistry were elucidated by various spectroscopic methods including intensive 2D-NMR techniques (COSY, gHMQC, gHMBC and ^1H-^1H NOESY) and HR-ESIMS.

文摘Objective:To explore and verify the mechanism of Gan Dou Ling in improving liver fibrosis in Wilson disease(WD)by network pharmacology and copper loaded mice experiments.Methods:The main chemical components and corresponding gene targets of each drug in Gan Dou Ling were obtained by using TCMSP database.The database of gene mutation and disease related gene was searched through the GeneCards database,DrugBank database,PharmGKB database and the DisGeNET database.After the intersection of drug and disease target genes.The STRING website was used to analyze the protein-protein interaction degree of target genes,and import the data to Cytoscape software 38.2 to analyze protein interaction network.The GO databases and KEGG databases were obtained in R language for enrichment analysis.On this basis,Masson staining were used to observe the degree of liver fibrosis in copper loaded mouse model,and the results of network pharmacological analysis were verified by Western Blot(WB).Results:A total of 108 drug disease intersection genes were analyzed by network pharmacology.Through PPI network analysis,JUN was found to be the key genes.The enrichment analysis of KEGG pathway showed that MAPK signal pathway was the important potential target pathways.Animal experiments showed that Gan Dou Ling could reduce liver fibrosis and inhibit the phosphorylation of P38,JNK and C-JUN in copper loaded mice.Conclusion:Gan Dou Ling may achieve the effect of treating WD liver fibrosis by inhibiting P38/JNK signaling pathway.
