We consider a relativistic two-fluid model of superfluidity,in which the superfluid is described by an order parameter that is a complex scalar field satisfying the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation(NLKG).The coupling t...We consider a relativistic two-fluid model of superfluidity,in which the superfluid is described by an order parameter that is a complex scalar field satisfying the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation(NLKG).The coupling to the normal fluid is introduced via a covariant current-current interaction,which results in the addition of an effective potential,whose imaginary part describes particle transfer between superfluid and normal fluid.Quantized vorticity arises in a class of singular solutions and the related vortex dynamics is incorporated in the modified NLKG,facilitating numerical analysis which is usually very complicated in the phenomenology of vortex filaments.The dual transformation to a string theory description(Kalb-Ramond)of quantum vorticity,the Magnus force,and the mutual friction between quantized vortices and normal fluid are also studied.展开更多
The primary objective of this paper is to investigate the well-posedness theories associated with the discrete nonlinear Schrodinger and Klein-Gordon equations.These theories encompass both local and global well-posed...The primary objective of this paper is to investigate the well-posedness theories associated with the discrete nonlinear Schrodinger and Klein-Gordon equations.These theories encompass both local and global well-posedness,as well as the existence of blowing-up solutions for large and irregular initial data.The main results presented in this paper can be summarized as follows:(1)Discrete Nonlinear Schrodinger Equation:Global well-posedness in l^(p) spaces for all1≤p≤∞,regardless of whether it is in the defocusing or focusing cases.(2)Discrete Klein-Gordon Equation:Local well-posedness in l^(p) spaces for all 1≤p≤∞.Furthermore,in the defocusing case,we establish global well-posedness in l^(p) spaces for any2≤p≤2σ+2(σ>0).In contrast,in the focusing case,we show that solutions with negative energy blow up within a finite time.These conclusions reveal the distinct dynamic behaviors exhibited by the solutions of the equations in discrete settings compared to their continuous setting.Additionally,they illuminate the significant role that discretization plays in preventing ill-posedness,and collapse for the nonlinear Schrodinger equation.展开更多
We study the thermodynamic properties of the classical one-dimensional generalized nonlinear Klein-Gordon lattice model(n≥2)by using the cluster variation method with linear response theory.The results of this method...We study the thermodynamic properties of the classical one-dimensional generalized nonlinear Klein-Gordon lattice model(n≥2)by using the cluster variation method with linear response theory.The results of this method are exact in the thermodynamic limit.We present the single-site reduced densityρ^((1))(z),averages such as(z^(2)),<|z^(n)|>,and<(z_(1)-z_(2))^(2)>,the specific heat C_(v),and the static correlation functions.We analyze the scaling behavior of these quantities and obtain the exact scaling powers at the low and high temperatures.Using these results,we gauge the accuracy of the projective truncation approximation for theφ^(4)lattice model.展开更多
