BACKGROUND Computer-aided diagnosis(CAD)may assist endoscopists in identifying and classifying polyps during colonoscopy for detecting colorectal cancer.AIM To build a system using CAD to detect and classify polyps ba...BACKGROUND Computer-aided diagnosis(CAD)may assist endoscopists in identifying and classifying polyps during colonoscopy for detecting colorectal cancer.AIM To build a system using CAD to detect and classify polyps based on the Yamada classification.METHODS A total of 24045 polyp and 72367 nonpolyp images were obtained.We established a computer-aided detection and Yamada classification model based on the YOLOv7 neural network algorithm.Frame-based and image-based evaluation metrics were employed to assess the performance.RESULTS Computer-aided detection and Yamada classification screened polyps with a precision of 96.7%,a recall of 95.8%,and an F1-score of 96.2%,outperforming those of all groups of endoscopists.In regard to the Yamada classification of polyps,the CAD system displayed a precision of 82.3%,a recall of 78.5%,and an F1-score of 80.2%,outper-forming all levels of endoscopists.In addition,according to the image-based method,the CAD had an accuracy of 99.2%,a specificity of 99.5%,a sensitivity of 98.5%,a positive predictive value of 99.0%,a negative predictive value of 99.2%for polyp detection and an accuracy of 97.2%,a specificity of 98.4%,a sensitivity of 79.2%,a positive predictive value of 83.0%,and a negative predictive value of 98.4%for poly Yamada classification.CONCLUSION We developed a novel CAD system based on a deep neural network for polyp detection,and the Yamada classi-fication outperformed that of nonexpert endoscopists.This CAD system could help community-based hospitals enhance their effectiveness in polyp detection and classification.展开更多
Jaundice,common condition in newborns,is characterized by yellowing of the skin and eyes due to elevated levels of bilirubin in the blood.Timely detection and management of jaundice are crucial to prevent potential co...Jaundice,common condition in newborns,is characterized by yellowing of the skin and eyes due to elevated levels of bilirubin in the blood.Timely detection and management of jaundice are crucial to prevent potential complications.Traditional jaundice assessment methods rely on visual inspection or invasive blood tests that are subjective and painful for infants,respectively.Although several automated methods for jaundice detection have been developed during the past few years,a limited number of reviews consolidating these developments have been presented till date,making it essential to systematically evaluate and present the existing advancements.This paper fills this gap by providing a thorough survey of automated methods for jaundice detection in neonates.The primary focus of the survey is to review the existing methodologies,techniques,and technologies used for neonatal jaundice detection.The key findings from the review indicate that image-based bilirubinometers and transcutaneous bilirubinometers are promising non-invasive alternatives,and provide a good trade-off between accuracy and ease of use.However,their effectiveness varies with factors like skin pigmentation,gestational age,and measurement site.Spectroscopic and biosensor-based techniques show high sensitivity but need further clinical validation.Despite advancements,several challenges including device calibration,large-scale validation,and regulatory barriers still haunt the researchers.Standardization,regulatory compliances,and seamless integration into healthcare workflows are the key hurdles to be addressed.By consolidating the current knowledge and discussing the challenges and opportunities in this field,this survey aims to contribute to the advancement of automatic jaundice detection and ultimately improve neonatal care.展开更多

BACKGROUND Early detection of precancerous lesions is of vital importance for reducing the incidence and mortality of upper gastrointestinal(UGI)tract cancer.However,traditional endoscopy has certain limitations in de...BACKGROUND Early detection of precancerous lesions is of vital importance for reducing the incidence and mortality of upper gastrointestinal(UGI)tract cancer.However,traditional endoscopy has certain limitations in detecting precancerous lesions.In contrast,real-time computer-aided detection(CAD)systems enhanced by artificial intelligence(AI)systems,although they may increase unnecessary medical procedures,can provide immediate feedback during examination,thereby improving the accuracy of lesion detection.This article aims to conduct a meta-analysis of the diagnostic performance of CAD systems in identifying precancerous lesions of UGI tract cancer during esophagogastroduodenoscopy(EGD),evaluate their potential clinical application value,and determine the direction for further research.AIM To investigate the improvement of the efficiency of EGD examination by the realtime AI-enabled real-time CAD system(AI-CAD)system.METHODS PubMed,EMBASE,Web of Science and Cochrane Library databases were searched by two independent reviewers to retrieve literature with per-patient analysis with a deadline up until April 2025.A meta-analysis was performed with R Studio software(R4.5.0).A random-effects model was used and subgroup analysis was carried out to identify possible sources of heterogeneity.RESULTS The initial search identified 802 articles.According to the inclusion criteria,2113 patients from 10 studies were included in this meta-analysis.The pooled accuracy difference,logarithmic difference of diagnostic odds ratios,sensitivity,specificity and the area under the summary receiver operating characteristic curve(area under the curve)of both AI group and endoscopist group for detecting precancerous lesion were 0.16(95%CI:0.12-0.20),-0.19(95%CI:-0.75-0.37),0.89(95%CI:0.85-0.92,AI group),0.67(95%CI:0.63-0.71,endoscopist group),0.89(95%CI:0.84-0.93,AI group),0.77(95%CI:0.70-0.83,endoscopist group),0.928(95%CI:0.841-0.948,AI group),0.722(95%CI:0.677-0.821,endoscopist group),respectively.CONCLUSION The present studies further provide evidence that the AI-CAD is a reliable endoscopic diagnostic tool that can be used to assist endoscopists in detection of precancerous lesions in the UGI tract.It may be introduced on a large scale for clinical application to enhance the accuracy of detecting precancerous lesions in the UGI tract.展开更多

Another twenty-one nursing interns who underwent internships in the operating room from April 2024 to April 2025 were selected as the experimental group and received diversified teaching methods. The teaching effects of the two groups were compared. Results: The experimental group scored higher than the control group in assessments, teaching satisfaction, and teaching quality evaluations, as well as in post-instruction professional identity scores (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Diversified teaching methods can enhance the professional competence of operating room nursing interns, cultivate their professional identity, and yield high teaching satisfaction, thereby improving teaching quality.展开更多

文摘To meet the need for cultivating application-oriented talents in local universities,this study introduced a project-based learning approach into the reform of bioinformatics experimental teaching.The course was structured around a project titled"Influenza Virus Analysis",comprising four progressive modules:database utilization and information retrieval,sequence alignment and phylogenetic analysis,functional and structural prediction,and omics data analysis.These modules were integrated into a coherent research workflow that connected fragmented knowledge and technical skills.During implementation,flipped classroom and group collaboration methods were employed,alongside the establishment of a diversified assessment system emphasizing process evaluation.Teaching practice indicates that the reform effectively enhances students professional application skills,learning experience,and scientific literacy,facilitating a shift from"tool operation"to"problem-solving"capabilities.This study provides a reference model for the reform of bioinformatics experimental teaching in local universities.
文摘Objective: To analyze the advantages of diversified teaching methods in the clinical instruction of operating room nursing interns. Methods: Twenty-one nursing interns who underwent internships in the operating room from March 2023 to March 2024 were selected as the control group and received conventional teaching methods. Another twenty-one nursing interns who underwent internships in the operating room from April 2024 to April 2025 were selected as the experimental group and received diversified teaching methods. The teaching effects of the two groups were compared. Results: The experimental group scored higher than the control group in assessments, teaching satisfaction, and teaching quality evaluations, as well as in post-instruction professional identity scores (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Diversified teaching methods can enhance the professional competence of operating room nursing interns, cultivate their professional identity, and yield high teaching satisfaction, thereby improving teaching quality.

文摘Objective:To analyze the effectiveness of an integrated teaching platform combining virtual reality(VR)technology and high-end simulators in practical obstetrics and gynecology teaching.Methods:A total of 39 interns who underwent obstetrics and gynecology internships from March 2023 to March 2024 were included in the reference group and received conventional practical teaching methods.Another 39 interns who underwent internships from April 2024 to April 2025 were included in the observation group and received the integrated teaching platform combining VR and high-end simulators.The teaching effects of the two groups were compared.Results:The observation group achieved higher assessment scores than the reference group,with higher scores in self-directed learning ability and clinical thinking ability after teaching,as well as higher teaching satisfaction(p<0.05).Conclusion:The integrated teaching platform combining VR and high-end simulators can improve the assessment scores of obstetrics and gynecology interns,cultivate their self-directed learning ability and clinical thinking ability,and achieve high teaching satisfaction.

文摘This paper delves into effective pathways for transforming course ecosystems from resource provision to knowledge service and competency development through university-enterprise collaboration in co-building knowledge graphs and intelligent shared courses.This approach enables personalized,learning-driven teaching.Based on knowledge graphs and integrated teacher-machine-student smart teaching scenarios,it not only innovates autonomous learning environments and human-computer interaction models while optimizing teaching experiences for both instructors and students,but also effectively addresses the issues of students’“scattered,superficial,and fragmented learning”.This establishes the foundation for personalized teaching tailored to individual aptitudes.
文摘This study focuses on reconstructing the"reader-centered"paradigm in the teaching of high school English literary text reading,supported by Reception Aesthetics as its theoretical foundation.High school English literary text reading plays a significant role in cultivating students'language proficiency,cultural awareness,and aesthetic literacy.However,the current teaching practice in this area remains dominated by the traditional"teacher-centered"approach,which restricts students'active participation and the realization of the pluralistic value of literary texts.By integrating core concepts of Reception Aesthetics-such as"horizon of expectations,""structure of appeal,"and"interpretive community"-this research addresses the gap in existing studies,which have largely focused on the application of Reception Aesthetics in Chinese language teaching or college English instruction.Using literature research and classroom practice analysis,the study reconstructs the"reader-centered"paradigm across three dimensions:teaching objectives,teaching process,and evaluation methods.It also identifies practical challenges,including uneven student participation,time constraints,and difficulties in the teacher's role adaptation,and proposes corresponding optimization strategies.Practical results demonstrate that this paradigm effectively enhances students'reading engagement,text interpretation skills,and critical thinking.Future research may further expand text types and integrate information technology to continuously improve teaching effectiveness.
文摘As a public basic course and the core general course of undergraduate education,moral education(ME)in College English is imperative.It is necessary to design specific teaching programs flexibly and creatively on the basis of fully understanding the ideas,objectives and tasks,basic principles and implementation methods of ME.This paper tries integrating literature reading into unit topic teaching as a new approach to ME in College English.The specific pathways of integration include:expansion of literary reading content,diversified teaching of literary reading,diversified media of literary reading,and diversified assessment system of literary quality.The integration of literature reading and unit topic teaching is conducive to the realization of the teaching goal of cultivating students’language ability,humanistic quality,and correct values.

文摘The advent of digital and intelligent era has brought profound impacts to higher education in terms of teaching models,learning resources,teacher-student roles,and instructional management.Among them,local universities with relatively weak resources but large scale are particularly noteworthy.A questionnaire survey on the current situation of informative teaching among teachers from local universities found that their overall awareness of informative teaching is positive,but their ability structure is uneven,especially in data-driven teaching evaluation and human-machine collaborative design,where there are obvious shortcomings.Research has revealed that the development of teachers'informative teaching ability is influenced by internal factors such as intrinsic motivation and data literacy,as well as external factors such as training systems and school support.Based on this,a systematic improvement path of"concept guidance-precise empowerment-environmental support-institutional guarantee"four-in-one is proposed to provide practical reference for promoting the professional development of teachers from local universities and the digital transformation of higher education.

文摘Guided by the"Healthy China 2030"strategy,improving national nutrition and health literacy has become a core task in public health system development.The National Nutrition Plan(2017-2030)explicitly calls for"strengthening the training of nutrition talents"and"promoting nutrition science education".As a key vehicle for this mission,the Food Nutrition and Health course in higher education urgently needs to address bottlenecks in traditional teaching,such as low knowledge application and transfer rates,insufficient student engagement,and ineffective guidance on healthy behaviors.The BOPPPS teaching model,with its structured design(Bridge-in,Objective,Pre-assessment,Participatory Learning,Post-assessment,Summary),effectively promotes the internalization of nutritional knowledge and the transformation into healthy behaviors among students by emphasizing practice-oriented teaching activities.In this study,focusing on this course,an in-depth exploration of curriculum teaching design was conducted based on the BOPPPS instructional model,aiming to deeply integrate the strategic objectives of Healthy China into the curriculum,and promote the transformation of nutritional knowledge into healthy decision-making ability.This study provides new insights for food and nutrition education.

文摘This study investigates how to pedagogically integrate ideological education with competency development in the Intercultural Communication course,a challenge arising from China’s dual reform contexts of the New Liberal Arts initiative and the national curriculum ideology policy.As global interactions intensify,cultivating foreign language professionals who possess both firm cultural confidence and sophisticated intercultural competence have become a critical educational imperative.This exploratory study investigates how a three-dimensional“Value-Knowledge-Competency”framework can guide the redesign of course content,task design,and assessment to achieve organic fusion.Drawing on qualitative data from a case study,it analyzes specific implementation pathways,synthesizes teacher and student feedback,and discusses the resultant challenges and broader implications for foreign language curriculum reform.The findings suggest that such an integrated approach can effectively synergize value guidance with skill cultivation,though its success hinges on overcoming issues related to pedagogical naturalness,resource allocation,and standardized evaluation.
文摘Aiming at the problems of lagging curriculum,weak practice,and single evaluation in the cultivation of HarmonyOS Development talents,this study constructs a“teacher-machine-student”ternary interactive teaching model based on the Congyou platform.Through the building block curriculum system,the HarmonyOS technology stack is decoupled into dynamic capability units,and a multi-disciplinary cross-case library is jointly built with Huawei,which significantly improves the synchronization of teaching content and industrial technology.This paper innovatively designs an AI collaborative teaching system,which employs knowledge graphs to plan learning paths,utilizes virtual equipment clusters to simulate development environments,and establishes a“diagnosis-feedback-enhancement”closed loop through AI-based review,thereby effectively improving students’development efficiency and code reuse rate.A three-dimensional evaluation model integrating task outcomes,process performance,and innovation is constructed,incorporating indicators such as code standardization and an innovation index to strengthen the cultivation of engineering thinking and innovative ability.Furthermore,a data-driven support platform is built to generate student competency profiles,open up the“credit-competency-certification”pathway,promote the transformation of course achievements into contributions to the Huawei ecosystem,and significantly shorten the job adaptation cycle for graduates.The research results provide a replicable paradigm for the cultivation of domestic operating system talents.

文摘Against the backdrop of integrated development between technical education and higher vocational education,the teaching of Chinese Medicine Processing Technology courses faces new opportunities and challenges.This paper analyzes the existing problems in the current teaching of Chinese Medicine Processing Technology courses,discusses the necessity of reforming the teaching model under the context of integration,and proposes the construction of a"Dual-Capability Progression,Six-Dimensional Empowerment"teaching model.The aim is to enhance the teaching quality of Chinese Medicine Processing Technology courses and cultivate high-quality skilled talents in Chinese medicine processing who can meet industry demands.
