Lattice Boltzmann-Based Numerical Simulation of Laser Welding in Solar Panel Busbars

To address the limitations of traditional finite element methods,particularly the continuum assumption and difficulties in tracking the solid-liquid interface,this study introduces a lattice Boltzmann-based mathematical and physical model to simulate flow and heat transfer in the laser welding molten pool of tin-coated copper used in solar panel busbars(a thin strip or wire of conductive metal embedded on the surface of a solar cell to collect and conduct the electricity generated by the photovoltaic cell).The model incorporates key external forces,including surface tension,solid-liquid interface tension,and recoil pressure.A moving and rotating Gaussian-body heat source is adopted,with temperature treated as an implicit function of enthalpy.Coupled iterative schemes for the temperature and velocity fields are constructed using a dual-distribution function approach with a D3Q15 lattice structure.The model is implemented in Python,utilizing libraries such as NumPy,SciPy,Mayavi,and Matplotlib for computation and visualization.Simulation results reveal that the heat transfer mechanism in the molten pool transitions from pure conduction to conduction-convection due to surface tension effects,leading to the formation of multiple counter-rotating vortex structures.The peak temperature at the pool center reaches 3200 K,with maximum melt depth and width measured at 0.5 and 1.2 mm,respectively.Over time,both penetration depth and melt width increase,though the width exhibits a more pronounced growth.Comparison with experimental thermal cycling data from laser weld joints shows strong agreement,with a maximum error of less than 1%,validating the accuracy of the proposed method. 展开更多

Traditional busbar design is inefficient, costly, and error-prone because of frequent changes of requirements. This paper proposes a semantic-driven method for designing 3D busbars to solve this problem. The design process contains two main parts, namely, semantic-driven routing design and automatic routing segmentation. Semantic-driven routing design creates a relation table between electrical semantics and 3D modeling parameters, as well as helps designers create routings efficiently using electrical parameters as input. Automatic routing segmentation can convert routings into busbar segments that also include manufacturing information. Because the design operations are associated with one another, the resulting busbars can automatically be changed in real time when requirements are changed. 展开更多

Because the larger metallic surrounds are heated by the eddy current, which is generated by the AC current flowing through the AC busbar in the International Thermonuclear ExperimentM Reactor (ITER) poloidal field (PF) converter system, shielding of the AC busbar is required to decrease the temperature rise of the surrounds to satisfy the design requirement. Three special types of AC busbar with natural cooling, air cooling and water cooling busbar structure have been proposed and investigated in this paper. For each cooling scheme, a 3D finite model based on the proposed structure has been developed to perform the electromagnetic and thermal analysis to predict their operation behavior. Comparing the analysis results of the three different cooling patterns, water cooling has more advantages than the other patterns and it is selected to be the thermal dissipation pattern for the AC busbar of ITER PF converter unit. The approach to qualify the suitable cooling scheme in this paper can be provided as a reference on the thermal dissipation design of AC busbar in the converter system. 展开更多

Effect of laser surface melting treatment on properties of electric copper busbar joints

Experimental results show that laser surface melting can increase hardness and refine structure of the copper, and it does not deteriorate electric resistance. Meanwhile, the temperature of laser treated joints under electric current is slightly lower than that of original sample. Salt spray test shows that laser treated sample has better salt spray corrosion resistance than the original sample does. The electric resistance of both laser treated and original samples are increased with salt spray time. For the same salt spray time, the electric resistance of busbar joint is decreased with increasing torque moment. 展开更多

Under the analysis of features of bus high frequency differential currents, complex wavelet analysis is used to extract the amplitude and phase features of 1/4 period high frequency differential currents, and amplitude and phase information are used to form the polar coordinates. Bus fault is identified intuitively and precisely according to polar locus differences. This polar coordinates represented busbar differential protection scheme based on high frequency transient signals can not only avoid TA saturation, realizing quick protection, lots of PSCAD/EMTDC simulations also show that this busbar differential protection scheme works well under different fault conditions. 展开更多

Simulation of Space Charge Impact on Partial Discharge Inception Voltage in Power Busbars Dedicated to Future Hybrid Aircrafts

Reducing greenhouse gases, saving energy resources and mass optimization require technological changes towards increasingly electric vehicles. At the same time, performance improvement of semiconductor and dielectric materials further promotes electronic components confinement, resulting in a significant increase of embedded power densities. In the particular case of future hybrid propulsion aircrafts, electrical power that intended to supply reactors would be converted through power electronics components mounted on power busbars and insulated by solid dielectrics materials. These dielectrics materials have to respond to various electrical constraints of use (HVDC), in spite of environment change of aircraft parameters such as low pressure, temperature and thermal cycles, humidity... Unfortunately, partial discharges phenomenon is the most problem within electrical insulation system (EIS). Based on a topological model of power busbars designed for power converters dedicated to hybrid aircraft, partial discharge studies were conducted by simulation in various charging conditions of a PTFE insulator. Simulation results, which focus on electric field thresholds criteria of partial discharge inception voltage in air, reveal a net sensitivity of a space charge accumulation and distribution on dielectrics behaviour even for low space charge density, depending on their location in dielectrics. Compared to the behaviour observed with implanted homocharges, when by increasing homocharges density from 0.5 C/m3 to 2 C/m3 we observe a decrease of electric field by 450%, simulation results show a highest risk of partial discharge inception when heterocharges are accumulated inside dielectrics. Their accumulation increases the electric field in triple points beyond electric field thresholds of partial discharge inception in air. The simulated electric field reaching 22 kV/mm with only 2 C/m3 of heterocharges density accumulated in dielectric/busbars interfaces. 展开更多

The integration of numerous distributed energy resources and power electronic devices introduces a wide spectrum of frequency disturbances,which significantly challenge the stability of modern power systems.Therefore,there is an urgent need to enhance the current monitoring level of modern power systems.This paper proposes a novel busbar current inversion scheme based on an elliptical magnetic sensor array.By establishing a simulation model,the effect of structural parameters of the elliptical array on its current measurement accuracy was analysed.The anti-interference capability of the elliptical array in complex environments such as busbar displacement and crosstalk was studied,and principles for designing array parameters under different current sensor standards were established.Experiments conducted on the proposed current sensing scheme demon-strated that the designed current array has a range of 0-150 A,with a current mea-surement error below 0.1% without external interference and not exceeding 1%during busbar displacement.Under conditions of crosstalk,the measurement accuracy achieved was class 0.5.The sensor array possesses high measurement accuracy,robust anti-interference capability,low power consumption,compact size and a noncontact nature.It exhibits significant potential for extensive application in novel business scenarios within the power system. 展开更多

GIS中隔离开关在开合短母线时,触头间瞬态击穿将产生VFTO,对设备绝缘构成严重威胁。触头间击穿距离与电弧阻抗特性关联,影响VFTO的时域和频域分布特征。文中为研究GIS隔离开关触头间击穿电弧长度对VFTO波形特征的影响,在GIS隔离开关开合短母线方式1试验中,利用基于电容分压的超宽频电压测量系统准确测量了隔离开关合闸时直流侧全过程VFTO波形,然后提取了前15次预击穿所激发的VFTO波形进行时域、频域以及时频分布分析。通过分析发现,当触头间击穿电弧长度从100mm减小到30mm时,所激发的VFTO时域波形持续时间,以及波头电压突变特征时刻未有明显变化,过冲系数波动的范围变小,对最大过冲系数没有明显影响。触头间距减小时,50MHz以上高频段的特征频点随着电弧长度减小逐渐减少,最高瞬时频率从100MHz降低至70MHz。50MHz以上高频段的频率分量随着电弧长度减小,持续时间变短。当触头间距低于30mm后,20MHz以上高频部分的特征频率发生了明显偏移。通过文中的研究,为进一步优化电弧高频模型和GIS隔离开关结构设计提供了有力支撑。 展开更多

为提高电力开关柜母线的散热能力,在电力开关柜B相母线表面加装直径为2 mm圆形脉动热管,以脉动热管充液率、通风进口风速和母线负载电流作为变量,采用中心复合设计法进行散热优化实验。基于实验结果,通过多元线性回归建立母线表面平均... 为提高电力开关柜母线的散热能力,在电力开关柜B相母线表面加装直径为2 mm圆形脉动热管,以脉动热管充液率、通风进口风速和母线负载电流作为变量,采用中心复合设计法进行散热优化实验。基于实验结果,通过多元线性回归建立母线表面平均温度与影响因素的函数关系,并利用响应曲面法模拟分析各因素交互作用的影响规律,优化脉动热管散热参数,最后通过温升实验验证响应曲面法预测结果的准确性。结果表明:通风进口风速、母线负载电流以及两者的交互作用对母线表面温度的影响显著;最优工况为负载电流853 A、通风进口风速1.7 m/s、脉动热管充液率50%,此时母线表面平均温度最低,脉动热管散热效果最佳;温升实验数据均在响应曲面95%置信区间内,验证了响应曲面法预测结果的可靠性。 展开更多

母排作为电力电子变换器中的关键功率传输部件,承担着连接功率器件、电容及端子的重要功能。为降低寄生参数与器件应力,换流回路须通过母排连接。文中以15 kV碳化硅金属氧化物半导体场效应晶体管(SiC metal oxide semiconductor field e... 母排作为电力电子变换器中的关键功率传输部件,承担着连接功率器件、电容及端子的重要功能。为降低寄生参数与器件应力,换流回路须通过母排连接。文中以15 kV碳化硅金属氧化物半导体场效应晶体管(SiC metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor,SiC MOSFET)与串联硅基绝缘栅双极晶体管(Si insulate-gate bipolar transistor,Si IGBT)组成的有源中点钳位型(active neutral-point clamped,ANPC)变换器拓扑为核心研究对象,针对母排的器件布局、叠层顺序及端子位置等关键要素展开优化设计。基于有限元仿真软件,建立母排的有限元仿真模型,通过参数化分析优化铜层间距与叠层结构,提出适用于高压印制电路板(printed circuit board,PCB)母排的绝缘优化策略。仿真及实验结果表明,优化母排设计可有效改善系统寄生参数分布,文中验证了其在高压应用场景下的电场分布。与传统设计方案相比,优化后的母排结构在关键节点绝缘性能与整体可靠性方面具有显著优势。 展开更多

The equivalent circuits of the busbars and devices model are simulated in the electric simulator PSlM to analyze the effects of the parasitic inductance on the switching characteristics of the integrated gate commutated thyristor (IGCT) in different topology positions. The simulation results agree well with the measured impedance analyzer results and the IGCT test results, which proves the effectiveness of the modeling method for the large, complex busbars. 展开更多

管母耦联的特高压复合双支柱设备地震响应及影响分析

近年来,复合支柱绝缘类设备逐渐在特高压变电站中得到应用,然而其弹性模量相对瓷质设备更小,使得设备刚度更低、体系更柔。为研究其耦合体系抗震性能以及对地震强度等因素的影响,文中首先介绍了所采用的结构动力响应分析理论,进而采用Ab... 近年来,复合支柱绝缘类设备逐渐在特高压变电站中得到应用,然而其弹性模量相对瓷质设备更小,使得设备刚度更低、体系更柔。为研究其耦合体系抗震性能以及对地震强度等因素的影响,文中首先介绍了所采用的结构动力响应分析理论,进而采用Abaqus软件建立了管母耦联的±800 kV复合双支柱绝缘子设备体系,该体系两端为一端固定一端滑动。随后,分析并比较该体系不同方向的模态振型,基于所建立的仿真模型进行动力响应分析,并分别考虑了地震强度、频谱及多维地震耦合对于该耦联体系地震响应的影响。结果表明:耦联体系的面内前3阶频率均高于对应的面外前3阶频率;当地震动幅值在0.4g范围以内,绝缘子根部应变、顶部加速度及位移反应与地震波幅值近似成线性关系;管母耦联效应不论对于支柱绝缘子的固定连接还是滑移连接,均能保持对其顶部位移的降低作用,并降低根部应力水平;在多维地震动输入下,随着地震动维数的增加,原方向的加速度值呈增加趋势;耦联复合支柱绝缘子在0.4g地震下位移反应较大,位移与绝缘子高度比值达到1/31,但根部应变水平较低,仍处于线弹性阶段。 展开更多
