Constructing Z-scheme heterojunction to improve the separation efficiency of photogenerated carriers of photocatalysts has gained extensive attention.In this work,we fabricated a novel Z-scheme MoO3/Bi2O4 heterojuncti...Constructing Z-scheme heterojunction to improve the separation efficiency of photogenerated carriers of photocatalysts has gained extensive attention.In this work,we fabricated a novel Z-scheme MoO3/Bi2O4 heterojunction photocatalyst by a hydrothermal method.XPS analysis results indicated that strong interaction between MoO3 and Bi2O4 is generated,which contributes to charge transfer and separation of the photogenerated carriers.This was confirmed by photoluminescence(PL)and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)tests.The photocatalytic performance of the as-synthesized photocatalysts was evaluated by degrading rhodamine B(RhB)in aqueous solution under visible light irradiation,showing that 15%MoO3/Bi2O4(15-MB)composite exhibited the highest photocatalytic activity,which is 2 times higher than that of Bi2O4.Besides,the heterojunction photocatalyst can keep good photocatalytic activity and stability after five recycles.Trapping experiments demonstrated that the dominant active radicals in photocatalytic reactions are superoxide radical( O2-)and holes(h+),indicating that the 15-MB composite is a Z-scheme photocatalyst.Finally,the mechanism of the Z-scheme MoO3/Bi2O4 composite for photo-degrading RhB in aqueous solution is proposed.This work provides a promising strategy for designing Bi-based Z-scheme heterojunction photocatalysts for highly efficient removal of environmental pollutants.展开更多
Peroxymonosulfate(PMS)is commonly used in advanced oxidation processes to degrade organic pollutants in wastewater.In this work,to obtain better PMS activation efficiency,Bi_(4)O_(5)Br_(2)/BCZT(BBT)piezoelectric photo...Peroxymonosulfate(PMS)is commonly used in advanced oxidation processes to degrade organic pollutants in wastewater.In this work,to obtain better PMS activation efficiency,Bi_(4)O_(5)Br_(2)/BCZT(BBT)piezoelectric photocatalyst was designed.Abundant active radicals produced by BBT under visible light irradiation and ultrasonic vibration were used to activate PMS,thereby achieving rapid degradation of high concentration pollutants.With the introduction of BCZT,the catalyst has a strong internal electric field and three-dimensional lamellar structure,which promotes the separation and transfer of electrons and holes.It is worth noting that under optimal reaction conditions,the degradation rate of ARB reached 93%by BBT15 within 10 min.The catalytic experiment combined with the piezoelectric performance test results revealed the key role of piezoelectric photocatalytic reaction in PMS activation.This provides an important prospect for PMS to effectively deal with the degradation of high concentrations of organic pollutants.展开更多
Bi_2Fe_4O_9 nanoparticles were prepared at low temperature via a facile, one-step hydrothermal synthesis process using iron(Ⅱ) nitrate nonahydrate(Fe(NO_3)_3·9H_2O) and bismuth nitrate pentahydrate (Bi(NO_3)_3...Bi_2Fe_4O_9 nanoparticles were prepared at low temperature via a facile, one-step hydrothermal synthesis process using iron(Ⅱ) nitrate nonahydrate(Fe(NO_3)_3·9H_2O) and bismuth nitrate pentahydrate (Bi(NO_3)_3·5H_2O) as starting materials and sodium hydroxide (NaOH) as the precipitant and mineralizer. XRD results indicate that the as-prepared nanoparticles are pure Bi_2Fe_4O_9. SEM images reveal that the as-prepared Bi_2Fe_4O_9 nanoparticles have a sheet-like morphology. The Bi_2Fe_4O_9 nanoparticles thus obtained are paramagnetic at room temperature as shown by magnetic measurements.展开更多
