Through a combination of SRIM, GEANT4, and TCAD simulations, we explore the role of secondary ions generated by nuclear reactions between high-energy O ions and Si C materials. These secondary ions, with significantly higher linear energy transfer(LET) values, contribute to electron–hole pair generation, leading to SEB. Our results show that the energy deposition and penetration depth of these secondary ions, especially those with high LET, are sufficient to induce catastrophic SEB in Si C MOSFETs. The study also highlights the critical influence of reverse bias voltage on SEB occurrence and provides insights into the failure mechanisms induced by nuclear reactions with high-energy O ions. This work offers valuable understanding for improving the radiation resistance of Si C-based power devices used in space and high-radiation environments, contributing to the design of more reliable electronics for future space missions.展开更多

It is experienced by women in their role as mothers. Those affected can develop psychological disorders, sleep disturbances, etc., all of which impair their day-to-day lives, and thus their maternal role. The repercussions affect both the child and other family members. Objective: The aim of the present study was to investigate maternal burnout among female users of public and private health facilities in the commune of Parakou in 2023. Methods: Descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted from December 2022 to July 2023 among all mothers using public and private health facilities in the commune of Parakou. All healthy mothers with at least one biological or adoptive child fully dependent on them and living at home, who came for a consultation in one of the health facilities or for an appointment at the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) and gave their free and informed consent. Sampling was done for non-exhaustive convenience were included in the study. Burnout was assessed using the Parental Burnout Assessment (PBA) scale. Results: A total of 888 mothers meeting the inclusion criteria were surveyed. The prevalence of burnout calculated using the Parental Burnout Assessment (PBA) scale was 6.19%. The risk factors for maternal burnout were poor relationships with family and friends (OR = 8.90;p = 0.045), moderate (OR = 11.71;p = 0.020) and severe depression (OR = 40.85;p = 0.001), followed by the presence of repeated nocturnal awakening (OR = 5.14;p = 0.014). Conclusion: This is a subject that is almost never discussed in African society, but whose reality is revealed by the present study, which provided statistical data on maternal burnout. From now on, the risk of burnout will no longer be discussed solely in the family context. It will also need to be explored within the family unit to prevent its deleterious consequences for children and adults alike.展开更多

文摘Objectives:Teachers are facing unprecedented new challenges leading them to face an increasing number of tasks that are not part of their job,as well as having to cope with the additional skills acquisition that comes with non-traditional forms of teaching and learning, and increased work pressure leading to an increase in the rate of teachers leaving the profession. Therefore, this study aims to explore the mechanism of the career calling on job burnout through career adaptability and work engagement. Methods:This study conducted a cross-sectional survey of 465 primary and secondary school teachers(PSST)in China's Mainland from the perspective of work adjustment and used structural equation modeling(SEM)to examine the mediating roles of career adaptability and work engagement in the relationship between teachers’career calling and job burnout. Results:The results show that PSSTs are above average in career calling, career adaptability, and work engagement, while job burnout is below average.A significant positive or negative correlation exists between career calling, career adaptability, work engagement, and job burnout. The result of path analysis indicates that career adaptability and work engagement exert an indirect influence on the job burnout of PSST through three paths:namely, the independent intermediary role of career adaptability(EV=−0.144),the independent intermediary role of work engagement(EV=0.172)and the chain intermediary role of the two(EV=0.176).Conclusion:This study emphasizes the importance of career adaptability and work engagement in teacher development in regulating career calling and job burnout. Therefore,on the one hand,we think that if managers want to reduce teachers’job burnout, they need to pay more attention to teachers’career adaptability and work engagement, rather than relying solely on teachers’career calling. On the other hand,it is to remind teachers not to rely on their adjustment to adapt to the work, but also to need outside help as much as possible.
文摘Objectives This study aimed to validate the Russian version of the Copenhagen Burnout Inventory(R-CBI)among nurses in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and explored factors contributing to burnout. Methods The original Copenhagen Burnout Inventory(CBI)was translated into the R-CBI using a rigorous forward-backward method and reviewed by experts.Between July and November 2022,1,530 nurses were recruited through convenience sampling method from various nursing settings in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan to test the scale’s reliability and validity, including confirmatory factor analysis(CFA),internal consistency reliability, and concurrent validity.A linear regression analysis was conducted to identify influencing factors of burnout. Results The content of the R-CBI is consistent with the original CBI,consisting of 19 items with three dimensions. The Cronbach’sαcoefficient is 0.926 in Kazakhstan and 0.922 in Kyrgyzstan, ranging from 0.830 to 0.898 for three dimensions. The CFA results among nurses in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan supported the three-factor structure of R-CBI with good fit indices.Concurrent validity was established through significant correlations(P<0.001)with job satisfaction questionnaire(r=−0.457),Depression Anxiety Stress Scales(r=0.506 in depression,r=0.485 in anxiety,r=0.564 in stress),and WHO-5 Well-Being Index(r=−0.528).The overall burnout level was 36.1±17.6 and 37.5±17.4 in Kazakhstani and Kyrgyzstani nurses, respectively.Significant influencing factors of burnout included gender, age, educational level, and COVID-19 infection history. Conclusions The R-CBI was proved to be a reliable and valid tool for assessing nurses’burnout in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
文摘Background:considering the significant issue of learning burnout among university students,it is essential to investigate the connection between mindfulness and learning burnout. This systematic review and metaanalysis sought to thoroughly examine the direct and indirect relationships betweenmindfulness and learning burnout. Methods:a comprehensive literature search was conducted in Scopus,Google Scholar, and Web of Science databases until 07 July 2024.A comprehensive literature review analysis of 19 articles was included, which identified three dimensions of learning burnout:emotions, behaviors, and outcomes, determined the indirect and direct relationships between mindfulness and learning burnout, and outlined the indirect relationship between mindfulness and learning burnout. This meta-analysis incorporated data from nine studies, encompassing a total of 5227 university students experiencing learning burnout. Results:the findings revealed a significant negative correlation between mindfulness and learning burnout, with a correlation coefficient of r=-0.396,(98.6%CI[-0.521,-0.272]).Additionally,a notable negative relationship was observed between mindfulness and emotional exhaustion, characterized by a correlation coefficient of r=-0.281,(98.0%CI[-0.438,-0.123]).It also found that mindfulness indirectly influenced learning burnout by other factors(such as self-efficacy,social support, and so on). However, the empirical analysis of the indirect relationship is not supported by sufficient meta-data.Conclusion:this study indicates that there is a significant and negative direct relationship or some indirect correlation between learning burnout and mindfulness, which may affect learning burnout through internal and external factors. These results also highlight the urgent need for a more in-depth exploration of the indirect mechanisms influencing the relationship between mindfulness and learning burnout.
文摘BACKGROUND Burnout syndrome is a significant issue among healthcare professionals worldwide, marked by depersonalization, emotional exhaustion, and a reduced sense of personal achievement. This psychological and physical burden profoundly affects healthcare professionals'quality of care and overall well-being.In Somalia, where the healthcare system faces numerous challenges, the escalating demand for medical services and inadequate resources, coupled with overwhelming workloads, long hours, and high-stress levels, make healthcare providers particularly vulnerable to burnout syndrome. This,in turn, affects both the mental health of healthcare personnel and the quality of care they provide.AIM To examine the prevalence and determinants of burnout syndrome among healthcare practitioners in Mogadishu,Somalia.METHODS This cross-sectional prospective study was performed among 246 healthcare providers employed at a tertiary care hospital in Mogadishu,Somalia, who were recruited via random sampling.Data were collected using questionnaires that covered sociodemographic,psychological,work-related characteristics, and burnout syndrome.Bivariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed to identify the variables that correlated with burnout syndrome. The results were presented using adjusted odds ratios(AORs),95%CIs,and P values, with a cutoff of 0.05 for identifying significant associations.RESULTS Among the participants,24%(95%CI:18.8%–29.8%)exhibited symptoms of burnout syndrome.Factors associated with burnout included female gender(AOR=6.60;95%CI:2.29-19.04),being married(AOR=3.07;95%CI:1.14-8.28),being divorced or widowed(AOR=5.84;95%CI:1.35-25.35),working more than 7 night shifts(AOR=3.19;95%CI:1.30–7.82),having less than 5 years of job experience(AOR=5.28;95%CI:1.29-21.65),experiencing poor sleep quality(AOR=5.29;95%CI:1.88-14.89),and exhibiting depressive(AOR=4.46;95%CI:1.59-12.53)and anxiety symptoms(AOR=7.34;95%CI:2.49-21.60).CONCLUSION This study found that nearly one in four healthcare professionals suffers from burnout syndrome.Improving sleep quality, monitoring, and providing mental health support could enhance their well-being and patient care.
文摘The study examines the relationship between emotional intelligence(EI),work-family conflict, and burnout among remote workers,a highly relevant issue in modern working dynamics. The sample included 557 remote workers(Males=59.1%,Mage=31.9,SD=4.64)including different professions(Information technology, engineers, business and management, content writers andfinance)in China.Data was gathered using a cross-sectional survey utilizing standardized tools, including the Work-Family Conflict Scale,Maslach Burnout Inventory, and Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale.Structure equation modeling with slope checks on moderation effects was conducted.Thefindings indicated a significant inverse relationship between work-family conflict and all subdimensions of emotional intelligence, indicating that increased EI could alleviate issues related to work-family conflict in remote working environments. In addition, emotional intelligence and depersonalization,a component of burnout, were found to be inversely related in the study.Thesefindings highlight the role of emotional intelligence on work-family conflict and burnout relationships. Our studyfindings provide a foundation for targeted interventions aimed at enhancing emotional intelligence, thereby reducing burnout in remote work settings and ultimately fostering the well-being and productivity of remote employees.

文摘We investigate the impact of high-energy O ions on the occurrence of single-event burnout(SEB) in silicon carbide(Si C) metal–oxide–semiconductor field-effect transistors(MOSFETs) under various bias conditions. This work offers valuable understanding for improving the radiation resistance of Si C-based power devices used in space and high-radiation environments, contributing to the design of more reliable electronics for future space missions.

文摘Community health workers(CHWs)represent the backbone of primary health systems, especially in many low-and middle-income countries(LMICs).The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic stretched health sys-tems and increased the workload for CHWs.The objective of this scoping review was to identify the mental health symptoms experienced among CHWs in LMICs during the COVID-19 pandemic. We searched PubMed for published literature, from January 1,2020 to December 31,2022 that focused on documenting the experiences of burnout, distress, and mental health symptoms among CHWs in LMICs.The quality of included studies was assessed using the Joanna Briggs Institute Critical Appraisal Tool.Included studies were grouped into the follow-ing broad thematic categories:(1)symptoms experienced;(2)drivers of different mental health symptoms;and(3)strategies for coping with different symptoms. We identified 10 cross-sectional,qualitative,and observational studies from 11 LMICs in South and Southeast Asia,South America, and Eastern/Southern Africa that assessed the mental health burden CHWs faced during the pandemic. The studies identified disorders and symptoms such as depression, anxiety, fear, burnout, worsened stress, and fatigue.Contributing factors included increased work-load,financial constraints, and an understaffed and underequipped workplace.CHWs reported using different adaptive responses like humor, support from family and colleagues, denial, and substance use,and asked for recommended regular mental health checkups and counseling.More research and policies should be targeted to-wards promoting the mental wellbeing of CHWs to help ensure responsive and resilient health systems in LMICs in the face of future emerging public health threats.
文摘Introduction: Also known as maternal burnout syndrome, maternal burnout is a state of physical, emotional and mental exhaustion generated by prolonged stress in the family environment. It will also need to be explored within the family unit to prevent its deleterious consequences for children and adults alike.
文摘This study aimed to examine the relationship between junior high school novice English teachers’emotion regulation and job burnout. To achieve this purpose,a survey consisting of various scales was administered to 133 primary school teachers selected from Yunnan Province in China.Statistical analyses revealed gender differences in job burnout and emotion regulation among these teachers and highlighted the association between these two variables. The findings established that male novice English teachers in junior schools generally experience lower levels of job burnout and possess better emotion regulation skills compared to their female counterparts.Additionally,a strong negative correlation was identified between job burnout and emotional regulation skills, indicating that the stronger the emotional regulation skills, the less likely novice English teachers are to experience job burnout. The study further emphasized caution in the use of cognitive reappraisal as an emotion regulation strategy,as it may have an adverse effect on mitigating job burnout. This study concluded with recommendations for providing junior high school novice English teachers with opportunities to develop and enhance their emotion regulation skills to reduce job burnout effectively.
文摘Objective:This study aims to explore the effect of swimming athletes’burnout on their sports motivation in Hunan University,China. It seeks to understand how burnout influences various motivational factors, providing insights for optimizing swimming sports courses and enhancing student participation.Method:Employing random sampling, the study surveyed 260 swimming athletes from Hunan University. The research utilized a questionnaire divided into three parts:demographic information, the Athlete Burnout Questionnaire(ABQ),and the Intrinsic Motivation Inventory(IMI).Pearson’s r correlation analysis was conducted using SPSS to examine the relationships between burnout dimensions and motivational factors. Results:The study found significant correlations between a reduced sense of accomplishment and various motivational dimensions,including“interest/enjoyment,”“perceived competence,”“perceived choice,”and particularly“perceived tension.”Physical exhaustion showed a significant correlation only with“perceived tension,”indicating a strong link between psychological stress and physical fatigue.Sports devaluation was significantly correlated with“perceived tension,”suggesting that psychological stress impacts athletes’valuation of their sport. Conclusion:The findings highlight the complex interplay between burnout and motivation in swimming athletes.Psychological stress,as indicated by“perceived tension,”emerges as a key factor influencing both the physical and emotional aspects of burnout. The study underscores the need for holistic training approaches that balance physical training with psychological well-being,personalized coaching, and supportive environments to enhance intrinsic motivation and manage stress effectively.
