Incorporating empirical knowledge into data-driven variable selection for quantitative analysis of coal ash content by laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy 被引量:1

Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS)has become a widely used atomic spectroscopic technique for rapid coal analysis.However,the vast amount of spectral information in LIBS contains signal uncertainty,which can affect its quantification performance.In this work,we propose a hybrid variable selection method to improve the performance of LIBS quantification.Important variables are first identified using Pearson's correlation coefficient,mutual information,least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO)and random forest,and then filtered and combined with empirical variables related to fingerprint elements of coal ash content.Subsequently,these variables are fed into a partial least squares regression(PLSR).Additionally,in some models,certain variables unrelated to ash content are removed manually to study the impact of variable deselection on model performance.The proposed hybrid strategy was tested on three LIBS datasets for quantitative analysis of coal ash content and compared with the corresponding data-driven baseline method.It is significantly better than the variable selection only method based on empirical knowledge and in most cases outperforms the baseline method.The results showed that on all three datasets the hybrid strategy for variable selection combining empirical knowledge and data-driven algorithms achieved the lowest root mean square error of prediction(RMSEP)values of 1.605,3.478 and 1.647,respectively,which were significantly lower than those obtained from multiple linear regression using only 12 empirical variables,which are 1.959,3.718 and 2.181,respectively.The LASSO-PLSR model with empirical support and 20 selected variables exhibited a significantly improved performance after variable deselection,with RMSEP values dropping from 1.635,3.962 and 1.647 to 1.483,3.086 and 1.567,respectively.Such results demonstrate that using empirical knowledge as a support for datadriven variable selection can be a viable approach to improve the accuracy and reliability of LIBS quantification. 展开更多

Calorific value of plants is an important parameter for evalu- ating and indexing material cycles and energy conversion in forest eco- systems. Based on mensuration data of 150 sample sets, we analyzed the calorific value (CV) and ash content (AC) of different parts of Masson pine (Pinus massoniana) trees in southern China using hypothesis testing and regression analysis. CV and AC of different tree parts were almost significantly different (P〈0.05). In descending order, ash-free calorific value (AFCV) ranked as foliage 〉 branch 〉 stem bark 〉 root 〉 stem wood, and AC ranked as foliage 〉 stem bark 〉 root 〉 branch 〉 stem wood. CV and AC of stem wood from the top, middle and lower sections of trees differed significantly. CV increased from the top to the lower sections of the tnmk while AC decreased. Mean gross calorific value (GCV) and AFCV of aboveground parts were significantly higher than those of belowground parts (roots). The mean GCV, AFCV and AC of a whole tree of Masson pine were 21.54 kJ/g, 21.74 kJ/g and 0.90%, re- spectively. Preparation of activated carbon with low ash content and high specific surface area from coal in the presence of KOH 被引量:2

An activated carbon with ash content less than 10% and specific surface area more than 1 600 m 2 /g was prepared from coal and the effect of K containing compounds in preparation of coal based activated carbon was investigated in detail in this paper. KOH was used in co carbonization with coal, changes in graphitic crystallites in chars derived from carbonization of coal with and without KOH were analyzed by X ray diffraction (XRD) technique, activation rates of chars with different contents of K containing compounds were deduced, and resulting activated carbons were characterized by nitrogen adsorption isotherms at 77 K and iodine numbers. The results showed that the addition of KOH to the coal before carbonization can realize the intensive removal of inorganic matters from chars under mild conditions, especially the efficient removal of dispersive quartz, an extremely difficult separated mineral component in other processes else. Apart from this, KOH demonstrates a favorable effect in control over coal carbonization with the goal to form nongraphitizable isotropic carbon precursor, which is a necessary prerequisite for the formation and development of micro pores. However, the K containing compounds such as K 2 CO 3 and K 2 O remaining in chars after carbonization catalyze the reaction between carbon and steam in activation, which leads to the formation of macro pores. In the end an innovative method, in which KOH is added to coal before carbonization and K containing compounds are removed by acid washing after carbonization, was proposed for the synthesis of quality coal based activated carbon. 展开更多

So, the two-dimensional regressive function Z = Z(P, D) was the searched object, where Z is random variable describing ash contents, P---density and D---particle diameter. This dependence was determined based on experimental data concerning the coal of type 31. For this coal, the method of ordinary kriging was applied to calculate the values of random variable Z. This method required the proper selection of so-called variogram function, in which four forms were considered in this paper in purpose to select the best solution. The given results were then evaluated by the mean standard error value and compared with empirical data. 展开更多

The coal filter cake is a product of fine coal after floatation which has an ash content of 7-13%, water content of 30±2%, and a particle size of less than 1 mm. The ash content was measured by the intensity of the single backscattered gamma-ray, and its accuracy is mainly dependent on the energy of the gamma-ray. The 238Pu low energy photon source is selected in this work. The energy of its gamma-ray is 15 keV, which can result not only in the best sensitivity, but also in the lowest contribution to the environment radiation. The root mean square deviation of the ash measurement is±0.33% (±1σ). 展开更多

The significant amount of ash content in agricultural biomass presents an enormous challenge for efficient conversion processes.In addressing this issue,various deashing treatments have been tested and established,including simple leaching techniques,which can either be performed with or without the addition of chemical agents.These techniques hold promise for improving the deashing efficiency while potentially altering the structural and chemical composition of biomass,specifically lignin content,which is the key focus of this review.This review starts by exploring the presence of ash in agricultural residues and its impact on biomass properties.Next,this review examines deashing strategies aimed at reducing ash levels in biomass followed by analysis of the resulting changes in lignin physical and chemical properties as well as its thermal characteristics.The final part of this review is concluded by the discussion on the limitations of current approaches and the possible future directions to address the challenges covering the environmental impacts of the deashing treatments.A green process approach is emphasized as a sustainable solution with the aim to minimize negative environmental impacts associated with chemical usage during deashing.Finally,this review highlights the potential for ash recovery as a byproduct of the deashing processes,paving the way for an integrative,closed-loop approach within the biorefinery concept. 展开更多

[Objectives] The moisture, ash and extract content of Dracocephalum tanguticum Maxim. were measured.[Methods] The moisture, total ash, acid-insoluble ash and extract content of D. tanguticum Maxim collected from 16 producing areas were detected by using the methods in Chinese Pharmacopoeia (2015 edition, volume I), and D. tanguticum Maxim. was identified by thin layer chromatography in Chinese Pharmacopoeia (2015 edition, volume I).[Results] The moisture content of D. tanguticum Maxim collected from 16 producing areas ranged from 8.68% to 10.36%, averaging 9.28%. The content of total ash was between 7.21% and 11.60%, averaging 9.89%. The content of acid-insoluble ash was 0.21%-2.71%, averaging 1.51%. The extract content (water-soluble) was 26.67%-42.91%, averaging 32.65%. According to the results of TLC identification, the 16 samples and reference substance had the same characteristic spots at the corresponding positions.[Conclusions] It was recommended that the moisture, total ash and acid-insolue ash content of D. tanguticum Maxim were not be more than 11%, 12%, and 3% respectively, while the extract content was not less than 26%. [Results] In the 10 samples,the contents of moisture were all less than or equal to 15. 0%; the contents of total ash were all below 12. 0%; and the contents of acid-insoluble ash were all less than 3. 0%. The contents of water-soluble extract( by cold-soaked extraction method) in the samples were all below 12. 0% except those from Hongyuan Prairie of Sichuan Province and Xinglong Mountain in Lanzhou City,Gansu Province. [Conclusions]The contents of the four indicators measured in this experiment varied by small margins,indicating that the quality was relatively stable. 玻璃体含量对粉煤灰火山灰活性的影响至关重要。本研究采用XRD-Rietveld方法选取含60%、70%、80%、90%(质量分数)玻璃体的低钙粉煤灰,分析比较了在近似细度下不同玻璃体含量的粉煤灰对水泥基材料微观与宏观性能的影响差异,并对不同玻璃... 玻璃体含量对粉煤灰火山灰活性的影响至关重要。本研究采用XRD-Rietveld方法选取含60%、70%、80%、90%(质量分数)玻璃体的低钙粉煤灰,分析比较了在近似细度下不同玻璃体含量的粉煤灰对水泥基材料微观与宏观性能的影响差异,并对不同玻璃体含量的粉煤灰进行水化活性评价。结果表明,在细度基本一致的前提下,粉煤灰玻璃体含量与活性指数近似呈正向线性关系,含90%玻璃体的粉煤灰活性指数可达85.1%,比含60%玻璃体的粉煤灰提高了14.6%,含70%~80%玻璃体的粉煤灰活性指数增长趋势最明显。粉煤灰玻璃体含量的增多,可加速复合水泥各龄期水化进程,优化水泥微观结构。在复合水泥水化后期,玻璃体含量高的粉煤灰对复合水泥的力学性能和孔结构均具有较明显的改善作用。28 d后,含90%玻璃体的粉煤灰复合水泥抗压强度较含60%玻璃体的粉煤灰提高了7.7 MPa。 展开更多

The average bond stress-slip curves, the steel strain-anchor location curves, and the bond stress-anchor position curves of the pullout specimens with various fly ash contents are obtained. Results indicate that the bond performance of concrete and steel bars can be improved and the distribution of steel strain along the anchorage length tends to be more uniform by adding fly ash in concrete specimens, and both ultimate bond stress and ultimate slip deformation increase the most when 20% of specimens′ content is fly ash. 展开更多

为了探究带裂缝大掺量粉煤灰水泥砂浆中氯离子的传输特性,该文采用人工预制裂缝的方式,制备了不同粉煤灰掺量(FA)和不同裂缝宽度的水泥砂浆试件。通过自然浸泡30 d、60 d后,测定试件裂缝内氯离子含量。结果表明:裂缝加快了氯离子在砂浆... 为了探究带裂缝大掺量粉煤灰水泥砂浆中氯离子的传输特性,该文采用人工预制裂缝的方式,制备了不同粉煤灰掺量(FA)和不同裂缝宽度的水泥砂浆试件。通过自然浸泡30 d、60 d后,测定试件裂缝内氯离子含量。结果表明:裂缝加快了氯离子在砂浆中的传输速度,其中0.05 mm与0.10 mm裂缝宽度对氯离子扩散系数的增大程度相近,而0.20 mm裂缝宽度对扩散系数的增大程度显著;30 d浸泡后,FA50在侵蚀深度大于10 mm范围内的氯离子含量随深度增加而显著降低;浸泡60 d后,所有试件的氯离子含量均随深度增加显著降低;当粉煤灰掺量不大于40%时,砂浆的抗氯离子性能随着掺量的增加而改善,但当掺50%粉煤灰时,砂浆的抗氯离子性能急剧下降;裂缝宽度与氯离子扩散系数呈线性关系,而粉煤灰掺量与氯离子扩散系数可用三次函数描述,并建立了考虑粉煤灰掺量和裂缝宽度的扩散系数模型,通过对比试验值与拟合值验证了模型有效性。 展开更多

针对我国工程建设中废弃渣土改良固态土路用动力特性问题,提出采用水泥-粉煤灰复合固化剂改良废弃渣土制备流态固化土,通过DDS-70电磁式动三轴试验系统模拟交通荷载(半正弦波,1 Hz,20~520 kPa分级加载),系统研究水固比与灰土比对材料动... 针对我国工程建设中废弃渣土改良固态土路用动力特性问题,提出采用水泥-粉煤灰复合固化剂改良废弃渣土制备流态固化土,通过DDS-70电磁式动三轴试验系统模拟交通荷载(半正弦波,1 Hz,20~520 kPa分级加载),系统研究水固比与灰土比对材料动力特性的影响规律。结果表明:渣土改良流态固化土的动应力-动应变关系呈显著非线性特征,灰土比增加可缩短弹性阶段并提升弹性极限应力至280 kPa;阻尼比随动应变呈现先减后增趋势,峰值达35%,灰土比提高显著增强能量吸收效率;长期动载下累积塑性变形可控,典型市政交通荷载(≤200 kPa)下的应变值满足路基稳定性阈值要求。流态固化土凭借其自密实性、低水泥用量及泵送施工优势,不仅实现了工程废弃渣土的高效资源化利用,同时降低了施工成本与碳排放,为绿色基础设施建设提供了兼具性能与环保效益的创新型解决方案。 展开更多

选煤厂是煤矿智能化建设的重要组成部分,煤质检测的精度和速度直接影响生产控制参数调整的准确性和及时性。因此,实现生产煤样的高精度和快速检测是精细选煤的重要基础。研究分析了影响煤样灰化速度的主要因素,并提出了富氧燃烧技术用... 选煤厂是煤矿智能化建设的重要组成部分,煤质检测的精度和速度直接影响生产控制参数调整的准确性和及时性。因此,实现生产煤样的高精度和快速检测是精细选煤的重要基础。研究分析了影响煤样灰化速度的主要因素,并提出了富氧燃烧技术用于灰分检测的优化方案。研究发现,当马弗炉中的氧气流量超过3 L/min时,检测结果与国家标准一致,测定时间由40 min缩短至10 min,重复性误差最大不超过0.20%。此外,还研制了紫外测硫仪,解决了库仑和红外测硫仪存在的难题,测定结果准确,操作简便。为了进一步提升选煤厂的智能化水平,将机器人化验技术应用于生产控制煤质检测中,开发了倒挂式机器人布置方案和不开盖称样技术,实现了灰分、全硫含量和全水分的无人自动检测和数据自动传输。通过机器人化验与人工化验结果的对比分析,发现机器人化验的精密度和准确性均在国家标准允许范围内。研究成果为选煤厂生产控制煤质检验的智能化发展提供了重要支持,对煤矿智能化建设和精细选煤具有重要意义。 展开更多

由于浮选过程机理复杂,难以满足先进过程控制的需求,基于系统辨识方法进行建模,并针对传统辨识方法拟合度较低的问题,提出了一种基于鲸鱼优化算法(WOA)与门控循环单元(GRU)(WOA-GRU)的系统辨识模型。该模型利用GRU有效应对浮选过程中存... 由于浮选过程机理复杂,难以满足先进过程控制的需求,基于系统辨识方法进行建模,并针对传统辨识方法拟合度较低的问题,提出了一种基于鲸鱼优化算法(WOA)与门控循环单元(GRU)(WOA-GRU)的系统辨识模型。该模型利用GRU有效应对浮选过程中存在的时滞特性,通过WOA对GRU网络参数进行优化,进一步提高了模型的辨识精度。考虑到现有选煤厂普遍使用单输入单输出的PID控制器,难以应对多输入多输出系统,将模型预测控制(MPC)引入实际生产现场,以更好地解决浮选过程中多变量耦合问题。基于代池坝选煤厂的生产数据,分别对WOA-GRU和NARX 2种辨识模型进行了MPC仿真,结果表明,WOA-GRU模型的拟合精度较NARX模型高51.84%,引入MPC后,WOA-GRU模型可将灰分波动控制在设定值的±4%内,优于NARX模型。现场试运行结果表明,灰分波动幅度位于5%~10%的数据较引入MPC前占比减少了10.8%,大于10%的数据占比则减少了3.9%,说明WAO-GRU模型不仅具备更高的精度与稳定性,而且能够减小灰分的波动,为煤泥浮选过程的智能化控制与应用提供了参考。 展开更多
