In this method, a low impedance medium is introduced to replace the free stress boundary, which largely reduces the computational complexity. The dependence of band gaps on structural parameters is investigated in detail. To prove the validity of the super-cell plane wave expansion, the transmitted power spectra of the Lamb wave are calculated by using a finite element method. With the detailed computation, the band-gap of a one-dimensional plate can be designed as required with appropriate structural parameters, which provides a guide to the fabrication of a Lamb wave phononic crystal.展开更多

The poor spatial resolution, which is limited by antenna size, should be improved by post data processing. A conjugate-gradient (CG) algorithm is adopted to circumvent this drawback. Simulation and real data collected in laboratory environment are given, and the results show that the CG algorithm improves the spatial resolution and convergent rate. Further, it can reduce the ringing effects which are caused by regularizing the image restoration. Thus, the CG algorithm is easily implemented for PMMW imaging.展开更多

Thus, efficient post-processing is necessary to achieve resolution improvement. An adaptive projected Landweber (APL) super-resolution algorithm using a spectral correction procedure, which attempts to combine the strong points of all of the projected Landweber (PL) iteration and the adaptive relaxation parameter adjustment and the spectral correction method, is proposed. In the algorithm, the PL iterations are implemented as the main image restoration scheme and a spectral correction method is included in which the calculated spectrum within the passband is replaced by the known low frequency component. Then, the algorithm updates the relaxation parameter adaptively at each iteration. A qualitative evaluation of this algorithm is performed with simulated data as well as actual radiometer image captured by 91.5 GHz mechanically scanned radiometer. From experiments, it is found that the super-resolution algorithm obtains better results and enhances the resolution and has lower mean square error (MSE). These constraints and adaptive character and spectral correction procedures speed up the convergence of the Landweber algorithm and reduce the ringing effects that are caused by regularizing the image restoration problem.展开更多

And meanwhile, it also aims to seek for an effective way to take the gap influence into consideration without numerical difficulties existing in conventional methods. An asymptotic matching technique is exploited by virtue of the smallness of gaps. Formal potential solutions are established for the near field around the gap ends and the far field away from gap ends, respectively, and the unknowns in those solutions are uniquely determined by asymptotic matching. The eigen-function expansion method is used for the outer far field and a series of pulsating sources at each gap end is introduced to simulate the gap influence. Strong hydrodynamic interaction is observed and a new resonant phenomenon, the mechanism of which differs absolutely from any known ones, is revealed in the present study. Sharp peak responses for both vertical and horizontal wave-exciting forces on each block are found around some special resonance frequencies, which depend on the draft of the structure and the gap width. The present results are of practical significance to the design of links (connectors) of modules for super large floating structures. And the importance is also closely related to the hydro-elasticity analysis for super large floating structures, in which local loads may be as important as the integrated loads.展开更多

The nozzle is resonator and dynamic emitter of the fields in spiraled subsonic and supersonic jets. The values of super-accelerations are estimated as result of internal energy changing and decreasing during adiabatic expansion of the gas. Super accelerations in this field provide high energy radiation in continuous media. These phenomena can serve as basis for creation of new sources of energy.展开更多
