In vibration active control of composite structures, piezoelectricsensors/actuators are usually bonded to the surface of a host structure. Debonding of piezoelectricsensors/actuators can result in significant changes to the static and dynamic response. In thepresent paper, an novel Enhanced Assumed Strain(EAS) piezoelectric solid element formulation isdeveloped for vibration active control of laminated structures bonded with piezoelectric sensors andactuators. Unlike the conventional brick elements, the present formulation is very reliable, moreaccurate, and computationally efficient and can be used to model the response of shell structuresbesides thin plates. Delaminations are modeled by pairs of nodes with the same coordinates butdifferent node numbers, and numerical results demonstrate the performance of the element and theglobal and local effects of debonding sensors/actuators on the dynamics of the adaptive laminates. 展开更多

In this paper, a biosensor based on photonic crystal fiber (PCF) is proposed and designed using Full-Vectorial Finite Element Method (FVFEM). The proposed PCF sensor consists of three concentric circles surrounding the core. The key optical sensor characteristics such as sensitivity, the field profiles and real part of the refractive index of the proposed PCF structure are investigated by employing the FVFEM. The proposed sensor can be deployed for environmental sensing when the PCF active region is filled with either analytes such as liquids or gas. By careful selection of the design parameters such as the radius of the sensing circle, the diameter of air holes in the core region and hole to hole spacing, Λ, the sensitivity analytes is determined. Our simulation results show that, the electric field distribution is primary localized in the third concentric circle with a radius of 16 μm. Effects of PCF bending on the sensitivity is also studied and reported. 展开更多

Optimizing Data Collection Path in Sensor Networks with Mobile Elements

Exploiting mobile elements (MEs) to accomplish data collection in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) can improve the energy efficiency of sensor nodes, and prolong network lifetime. However, it will lead to large data collection latency for the network, which is unacceptable for data-critical applications. In this paper, we address this problem by minimizing the traveling length of MEs. Our methods mainly consist of two steps: we first construct a virtual grid network and select the minimal stop point set (SPS) from it; then, we make optimal scheduling for the MEs based on the SPS in order to minimize their traveling length. Different implementations of genetic algorithm (GA) are used to solve the problem. Our methods are evaluated by extensive simulations. The results show that these methods can greatly reduce the traveling length of MEs, and decrease the data collection latency. 展开更多

皮质醇作为关键的应激激素,其水平异常与多种疾病密切相关。准确、便捷地监测其在汗液、唾液等多种生物体液中的浓度,对于疾病诊断、健康管理至关重要。传统的液相色谱串联质谱检测方法虽精度高,但依赖大型仪器和专业操作,难以满足即时... 皮质醇作为关键的应激激素,其水平异常与多种疾病密切相关。准确、便捷地监测其在汗液、唾液等多种生物体液中的浓度,对于疾病诊断、健康管理至关重要。传统的液相色谱串联质谱检测方法虽精度高,但依赖大型仪器和专业操作,难以满足即时检测和可穿戴监测的需求。相比之下,电化学传感器技术以其制备简便、响应快速、易于微型化和成本低廉的优势,成为实现皮质醇无创、实时、动态监测极具前景的解决方案。其核心在于所使用的识别元件可实现与体液中痕量皮质醇分子的特异性结合。为此,本文系统综述了近年来基于抗体(Abs)、适配体(Apts)和分子印迹聚合物(MIPs)等关键识别元件的电化学传感器在皮质醇检测中的最新应用进展;重点分析了这些识别元件在提升传感器特异性、抗干扰性及稳定性方面的创新策略与性能表现;并探讨了该领域当前面临的挑战和未来趋势,包括新型识别材料开发、多功能集成、与人工智能融合的智能传感系统等。最后,展望了基于不同识别元件的电化学传感器在便携式可穿戴皮质醇监测设备方面的巨大潜力。 展开更多

This paper presents a methodology for analytical calculation and computational simulation using the finite element method for piezoresistive graphite sensor element on flexible polymer substrate,A4 paper.The computer simulation aims to find the region of greatest mechanical tension and deflection of the circular diaphragm set in the circumference edges.The steps for simulation are geometry definition,mesh generation,inclusion of material physical properties and simulation execution.The mathematical modeling of maximum mechanical stress and deflection is described analytically and computationally.The analytical calculations were compared with the computer simulation and presented a relative percentage error of 3.38%for the maximum deflection.The results show that the piezoresistor should be positioned at the edges of the circular diaphragm to take advantage of maximum mechanical stress by defining the best location for graphite film deposition for sensor device designs and fabrications. 展开更多

VMC850E立式加工中心是现代制造业在金属切削中最为常见的机床之一,在其对产品的切削过程中,由于主轴的高速旋转,造成轴承的发热,通过热传导和对流的方式传递给主轴组的其他部件,从而造成主轴的热变形,影响被加工零件的加工精度。通过采用ANSYS Workbench15.0对主轴组的CAD模型进行有限元分析,得到热变形的值。再通过激光测量仪对主轴的热伸长进行实验,从而得到主轴的热变形曲线及趋势。经数学建模分析,得出VMC850E主轴单位温升的伸长量为1.83μm,再通过系统宏变量,在加工过程中将该值补偿到系统中,平衡掉由于主轴热变形误差所带来的产品加工尺寸精度问题,从而提高了VMC850E立式加工中心的加工精度。 展开更多

针对柔性压阻式传感器难以兼顾高灵敏度与宽检测范围的技术瓶颈,本文创新地设计了一种基于多级中空内外双微圆顶结构的柔性压阻传感器。该传感器采用柔软铜镍导电织物作为上下电极层,中间压敏层由质量分数8%多壁碳纳米管(MWCNTs)与聚二... 针对柔性压阻式传感器难以兼顾高灵敏度与宽检测范围的技术瓶颈,本文创新地设计了一种基于多级中空内外双微圆顶结构的柔性压阻传感器。该传感器采用柔软铜镍导电织物作为上下电极层,中间压敏层由质量分数8%多壁碳纳米管(MWCNTs)与聚二甲基硅氧烷(PDMS)复合材料构成。通过ABAQUS有限元仿真与实验对比,探究七种压敏层结构对传感器性能影响。实验结果表明,本文设计的多级中空内外双微圆顶结构的柔性压阻传感器在中压力范围(25~100 kPa)展现出最高灵敏度(0.617 kPa^(-1))和良好线性响应特性,同时具备1~200 kPa宽压力检测范围、120 ms响应时间及100 ms恢复时间,在25 kPa压力下1000次循环载荷测试表现出优异的耐久性与稳定性。实际应用测试表明,该传感器适用于手指关节弯曲、手腕动态运动及足底压力等人体运动监测。 展开更多

We report the first attempt to model the contacts of an ionic polymer metal composite(IPMC) based tactile sensor. The tactile sensor comprises an IPMC actuator, an IPMC sensor and the target to be detected. The system makes use of multiple contacts to work: the actuator comes into contact with the sensor and pushes the movement of sensor; the contact between the sensor and the object detects the existence and the stiffness of the target. We integrate modeling of various physical processes involved in IPMC devices to form a simulation scheme. An iteration and optimization strategy is also described to correlate the experimental and simulation results of an IPMC bending actuator to identify the two key parameters used in electromechanical transduction. Modeling the multiple contacts will aid the design and optimization of such IPMC based soft robotics. 展开更多

With the increase of pipelines, corrosion leakage accidents happen frequently. Therefore, nondestructive testing technology is important for ensuring the safe operation of the pipelines and energy mining. In this paper, the structure and principle of magnetic flux leakage (MFL) in-line inspection system is introduced first. Besides, a mathematic model of the system according to the ampere circuit rule, flux continuity theorem, and column coordinate transform is built, and the magnetic flux density in every point of space is calculated based on the theory of finite element analysis. Then we analyze and design the disposition of measurement section probes and sensors combining both three-axis MFL in-line inspection and multi-sensor fusion technology. Its advantage is that the three-axis changes of magnetic flux leakage field are measured by the multi-probes at the same time, so we can determine various defects accurately. Finally, the theory of finite element analysis is used to build a finite element simulation model, and the relationship between defects and MFL inspection signals is studied. Simulation and experiment results verify that the method not only enhances the detection ability to different types of defects but also improves the precision and reliability of the inspection system. 展开更多

In this paper, in order to improve the sensor performance, the authors have focused on the orientation of magnetic sensors’ coils. In order to improve the detection capability of the system, through measuring the induced voltage in the receiver coil, it is important to adjust the relative orientation of the transmitter and receiver coils. Due to the existence of infinite relative orientations, in order to determine the optimum orientation for the sensor coils, Kriging methods which is one of the Response Surface Methodologies (RSMs) is applied. Finite Element Method (FEM) is utilized to provide sample data, as inputs to the Kriging algorithm. The analysis not only provides the optimum relative orientation of the sensor coils, it also improves analysis time, comparing to field based measurements. The analysis results are validated by the laboratory based data implemented in the control and signaling laboratory of the school of railway engineering and also field based tests in Iranian railway. 展开更多

The directivity of acoustic vector sensor can be distorted by the sound diffraction wave of baffle.According to Helmholtz integral equation,the directivity of acoustic vector sensor under the condition of finite cylinder baffle is calculated by using boundary element method(BEM).Considering the problem of nearly singular integrals of BEM,the exponent parts of fundamental solutions are expanded in trigonometric functions.The singular and the nonsingular parts are separated:the nonsingular parts are calculated by Gaussian integral method;the singular parts are regularized by subsection integral method.Then the surface integrals are reduced into line integrals along the elements' contour which can be calculated by Gaussian integral method.The sound diffraction field of a plane wave under the condition of finite cylinder baffle at different frequencies and incident angles is calculated,and the characteristics of directivity of pressure and vibration velocity at different frequencies are analyzed.The experimental data are treated and the errors between the experimental and theoretical results are analyzed.Finally,according to the research results about the influences on the directivity of acoustic vector sensor by baffle at present,some future prospects about eliminating the effects of sound diffraction field by baffle are presented. 展开更多

The thermal stress and deformation of a beam are calculated by FEA method so as to determine the optimal actuator/sensor placement. Based on the results of the optimal analysis procedure of actuator/sensor placement, some conclusions of actuator/sensor placement are obtained. Thus, the optimal actuator/sensor placement for piezothermoelectric intelligent structure can be found from the actuator/sensor placements available so that intelligent system will have the best controllability and observability. 展开更多
