Research on multi-scale simulation and dynamic verification of high dynamic MEMS components in additive manufacturing 被引量:1

Metal Additive Manufacturing(MAM) technology has become an important means of rapid prototyping precision manufacturing of special high dynamic heterogeneous complex parts. In response to the micromechanical defects such as porosity issues, significant deformation, surface cracks, and challenging control of surface morphology encountered during the selective laser melting(SLM) additive manufacturing(AM) process of specialized Micro Electromechanical System(MEMS) components, multiparameter optimization and micro powder melt pool/macro-scale mechanical properties control simulation of specialized components are conducted. The optimal parameters obtained through highprecision preparation and machining of components and static/high dynamic verification are: laser power of 110 W, laser speed of 600 mm/s, laser diameter of 75 μm, and scanning spacing of 50 μm. The density of the subordinate components under this reference can reach 99.15%, the surface hardness can reach 51.9 HRA, the yield strength can reach 550 MPa, the maximum machining error of the components is 4.73%, and the average surface roughness is 0.45 μm. Through dynamic hammering and high dynamic firing verification, SLM components meet the requirements for overload resistance. The results have proven that MEM technology can provide a new means for the processing of MEMS components applied in high dynamic environments. The parameters obtained in the conclusion can provide a design basis for the additive preparation of MEMS components. 展开更多

In the face of the increasingly serious electromagnetic wave (EMW) pollution, a component modulation strategy is proposed in this study. By integrating ZIF-67 and FeOOH into MXene nanosheets and performing heat treatment, a multiphase heterogeneous structure based on the multicomponent synergistic effect was successfully constructed. The synergistic effect of dielectric loss and magnetic loss is realized, and the rich heterogeneous interface and multi-scale structure significantly enhance the interface polarization and multiple scattering. The results show that the EMW absorption performance can be optimized by adjusting the composition of the composites. MXene@CoFe_(2)O_(4) exhibits a minimum reflection loss (RLmin) of -44.98 dB at 2.3 mm thickness and a maximum effective absorption bandwidth (EAB_(max)) of 4.64 GHz at 2.1 mm. MXene@CoFe_(2)O_(4)/CoFe composite has an RLmin of -55.14 dB at a thickness of 2.1 mm and an EAB_(max) of 5.60 GHz at a thickness of 1.9 mm. This work provides important insights into the development of wideband EMW absorbent materials. 展开更多

Aiming at the innovative design requirements of rehabilitation robots with multiple kinematically coupled components and the current absence of systematic processes in the design of such mechanisms,this paper presents the concept of a multi-output component mechanism(MOCM).A classification methodology for the MOCM is proposed based on the operational coupling between the actuators and the output components within closedloop mechanisms.Building on the classification results,a design methodology for a kinematically coupled MOCM(KCMOCM)is proposed based on the actuation distribution within the closed-loop sub-mechanisms.First,the number and relative kinematic characteristics of the output components are determined based on the application environment of the mechanism.These components are then grouped and classified according to motion similarity principles,followed by the design of closed-loop sub-mechanisms with actuators for each group,ultimately forming a complete KCMOCM.Taking the sit-stand-lie-bed mechanism in a spinal cord injury lower-limb rehabilitation robot as an example,this study comprehensively considers the multi-posture transition task requirements and spatial constraint characteristics of lower-limb rehabilitation training to design the mechanism.By applying the mechanism design methodology,six practical novel configurations are developed with established evaluation criteria,and kinematic analysis and experimental validation are performed on the optimized configuration.The results demonstrate that the optimized configuration satisfies the multi-posture rehabilitation training requirements for lower limbs.This validates the efficacy of the design methodology.Furthermore,the scalability of the design methodology is validated through the development of a robotic finger rehabilitation mechanism. 展开更多

Multi-mode acceleration optimization control for adaptive cycle engine based on variable geometry components

The acceleration and mode transition performance are two significant performances of Adaptive Cycle Engine(ACE).However,separating the processes of acceleration and mode transition will slow down the response speed of thrust.Therefore,this paper proposes a multi-mode acceleration optimization control method that simultaneously performs ACE acceleration and mode transition.Firstly,an ACE component model with inlet flow characteristics was established,and the performance before and after mode transition were analyzed.Secondly,the principle of ACE acceleration optimization was analyzed,and the Front Variable Area Bypass Injector(FVABI)and Mode Selection Valve(MSV)were adopted in the acceleration process.Finally,based on the Sequential Quadratic Programming(SQP)algorithm,considering the degradation effects of engine components,we optimize the acceleration control plan for fuel and variable geometry mechanisms.The simulation results show that at the subsonic cruise point,the ACE multi-mode acceleration optimization control method can shorten the acceleration time from idle to middle state by 30.33%,and accelerate the thrust response speed by 33.72%.When the compressor flow rate of ACE deteriorates by 2% and the high-pressure turbine efficiency deteriorates by 4%,the adaptive acceleration control plan increases the high-pressure speed by 2.13% and thrust by about 6.82%;within the flight envelope,the acceleration time is reduced by more than 25%,and the thrust response speed is increased by more than 20%. 展开更多

In order to overcome the shortcomings that the reconstructed spectral reflectance may be negative when using the classic principal component analysis (PCA)to reduce the dimensions of the multi-spectral data, a nonnegative constrained principal component analysis method is proposed to construct a low-dimensional multi-spectral space and accomplish the conversion between the new constructed space and the multispectral space. First, the reason behind the negative data is analyzed and a nonnegative constraint is imposed on the classic PCA. Then a set of nonnegative linear independence weight vectors of principal components is obtained, by which a lowdimensional space is constructed. Finally, a nonlinear optimization technique is used to determine the projection vectors of the high-dimensional multi-spectral data in the constructed space. Experimental results show that the proposed method can keep the reconstructed spectral data in [ 0, 1 ]. The precision of the space created by the proposed method is equivalent to or even higher than that by the PCA. 展开更多

To study the measurement of distance under the condition of the frequency modulation (FM) multi component signal of a short range radar, the multi points scattering model of a target, the TLS ESPRIT (total least square estimation of signal parameters via rotational invariance techniques) and the mathematical statistics methods were used. The method of computing single frequency signal's instantaneous frequency (IF) is unsuitable to the multi component signal. By using the method of the TLS ESPRIT combined with the mathematical statistics, the multi component signal's IF can be obtained. The computer simulation has shown that the method has the high accuracy for measuring the distance. 展开更多

This research uses eigenvalue characteristics of nonlinear principal component analysis (NLPCA) and principal component analysis (PCA) to investigate total electron content (TEC) anomalies associated with Taiwan's Chi-Chi earthquake of 21 September 1999 (LT) (M_w=7.6). The transforms are used for ionospheric TEC from 01 August to 20 September 1999 (local time) using data from 13 GPS receivers. The data were collected at 22°N-26°N Lat. and 120°E-122°E Long.. Applying the NLPCA to the multi-channel total electron content records of GPS receivers, the earthquake-associated TEC anomalies were represented by large principal eigenvalues of NLPCA (〉0.5 in a normalized set) on 14 August and 17, 18, and 20 September, with allowance given for the Dst index, which was quiet for the study period. Comparisons were then made with other researchers who also found TEC anomalies on September 17, 18, and 19 associated with the Chi-Chi earthquake, which cannot be detected by PCA.Consideration is also given for reported ground level geomagnetic field activity that occurred between mid-August and late October, leading up to and including the Chi-Chi and Chia-Yi earthquakes, which are associated with the same series of faults. It is possible that Aug. 14 is representative of an earthquake-associated TEC anomaly. This is an interesting result given how much earlier than the earthquake it occurred. 展开更多

By integrating topology optimization and lattice-based optimization,a novel multi-scale design method is proposed to create solid-lattice hybrid structures and thus to improve the mechanical performance as well as reduce the structural weight.To achieve this purpose,a two-step procedure is developed to design and optimize the innovative structures.Initially,the classical topology optimization is utilized to find the optimal material layout and primary load carrying paths.Afterwards,the solid-lattice hybrid structures are reconstructed using the finite element mesh based modeling method.And lattice-based optimization is performed to obtain the optimal crosssection area of the lattice structures.Finally,two typical aerospace structures are optimized to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed optimization framework.The numerical results are quite encouraging since the solid-lattice hybrid structures obtained by the presented approach show remarkably improved performance when compared with traditional designs. 展开更多

To fulfill the demands for higher quality,efficiency and flexibility in aviation industry,a multi-functional end effector is designed to automate the drilling and riveting processes in assembling carbon fiber reinforced polymer(CFRP)and aluminum components for a robotic aircraft assembly system.To meet the specific functional requirements for blind rivet installation on CFRP and aluminum materials,additional modules are incorporated on the end effector aside of the basic processing modules for drilling.And all of these processing modules allow for a onestep-drilling-countersinking process,hole inspection,automatic rivet feed,rivet geometry check,sealant application,rivet insertion and installation.Besides,to guarantee the better quality of the hole drilled and joints riveted,several online detection and adjustment measures are applied to this end effector,including the reference detection and perpendicular calibration,which could effectively ensure the positioning precision and perpendicular accuracy as demanded.Finally,the test result shows that this end effector is capable of producing each hole to a positioning precision within ±0.5 mm,aperpendicular accuracy within 0.3°,a diameter tolerance of H8,and a countersink depth tolerance of±0.01 mm.Moreover,it could drill and rivet up to three joints per minute,with acceptable shearing and tensile strength. 展开更多

The effects of Cu on microstructure and properties of Al Co Cr Fe Ni alloy were investigated. The introduction of Cu results in the formation of Cu-rich FCC solid solution phase when Cu content is low.There are two FCC solid solution phases, i.e., Cu-rich FCC solid solution phase and phase transformation-induced FCC solid solution phase, when the Cu content is more than 1.0. Both the yield stress and plastic strain of alloy show a turning point when the Cu content is 0.5. Among the seven alloys, Cu0.5 alloy exhibits the largest yield stress of 1187 MPa and the lowest plastic strain of 16.01 %. 展开更多

A novel soft-sensor model with principal component analysis (PCA), radial basis function (RBF) networks, and multi-scale analysis (MSA) is proposed to infer the MI of manufactured products from real process variables, where PCA is carried out to select the most relevant process features and to eliminate the correlations of the input variables, MSA is introduced to a^quire much more information and to reduce the uncertainty of the system, and RBF networks are used to characterize the nonlinearity of the process. The research results show that the proposed method provides promising prediction reliability and accuracy, and supposed to have extensive application prospects in propylene polymerization processes. 展开更多

This paper presents a superstructure-based formulation for the synthesis of mass-exchange networks (MENs) considering multiple components. The superstructure is simplified by directly using the mass separation agents (MSA) from their sources, and therefore the automatic synthesis of the multi-component system involved in the MENs can be achieved without choosing a 'key-component' either for the whole process or the mass exchangers. A mathematical model is proposed to carry out the optimization process. The concentrations, flow rates, matches and unit operation displayed in the obtained network constitute the exact representation of the mass exchange process in terms of all species in the system. Owing to the lack of information about geomagnetic anomaly fields,conventional geomagnetic matching algorithms in near space are prone to divergence.Therefore,geomagnetic matching navigation algorithms for hypersonic vehicles are also prone to divergence or mismatch.To address this problem,we propose a multi-geomagnetic-component assisted localization(MCAL)algorithm to improve positioning accuracy using only the information of the main geomagnetic field.First,the main components of the geomagnetic field and a mathematical representation of the Earth’s geomagnetic field(World Magnetic Model 2015)are introduced.The mathematical relationships between the geomagnetic components are given,and the source of geomagnetic matching error is explained.We then propose the MCAL algorithm.The algorithm uses the intersections of the isopleths of the geomagnetic components and a decision method to estimate the real position of a carrier with high positioning accuracy.Finally,inertial/geomagnetic integrated navigation is simulated for hypersonic boost-glide vehicles.The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can provide higher positioning accuracy than conventional geomagnetic matching algorithms.When the random error range is±30 nT,the average absolute latitude error and longitude error of the MCAL algorithm are 151 m and 511 m lower,respectively,than those of the Sandia inertial magnetic aided navigation(SIMAN)algorithm. 展开更多

Acupuncture,a therapeutic practice rooted in traditional Chinese medicine and integrated with modern neuroscience,achieves its effects by stimulating sensory nerves at specific anatomical points known as acupoints.This review systematically explores the therapeutic components of acupuncture,emphasizing the interplay between sensory nerve characteristics and neural signaling pathways.Key factors such as acupoint location,needling depth,stimulation intensity,retention time,and the induction of sensations(e.g.,Deqi)are analyzed for their roles in neural activation and clinical outcomes.The review highlights how variations in spinal segment targeting,tissue-specific receptor activation,and stimulation modalities(e.g.,manual acupuncture,electroacupuncture,moxibustion)influence therapeutic effects.Emerging evidence underscores the significance of ion channels,dermatomes,myotomes,and genespecific pathways in mediating systemic effects.Additionally,the differential roles of mechanical,thermal and nociceptive stimuli and the temporal dynamics of sensory and immune responses are addressed.While insights from animal models have advanced our understanding,their translation to clinical practice requires further investigation.This comprehensive review identifies critical parameters for optimizing acupuncture therapy,advocating for individualized treatment strategies informed by neuroanatomical and neurophysiological principles,ultimately enhancing its precision and efficacy in modern medicine. 展开更多

The efficiency and accuracy are two most concerned issues in the modeling and simulation of multi-body systems involving contact and impact. This paper proposed a formulation based on the component mode synthesis method for planar contact problems of flexible multi-body systems. A flexible body is divided into two parts: a contact zone and an un-contact zone. For the un-contact zone, by using the fixed-interface substructure method as reference, a few low-order modal coordinates are used to replace the nodal coordinates of the nodes, and meanwhile, the nodal coordinates of the local impact region are kept unchanged, therefore the total degrees of freedom (DOFs) are greatly cut down and the computational cost of the simulation is significantly reduced. By using additional constraint method, the impact constraint equations and kinematic constraint equations are derived, and the Lagrange equations of the first kind of flexible multi-body system are obtained. The impact of an elastic beam with a fixed half disk is simulated to verify the efficiency and accuracy of this method. 展开更多

Based on improved multi-objective particle swarm optimization(MOPSO) algorithm with principal component analysis(PCA) methodology, an efficient high-dimension multiobjective optimization method is proposed, which, as the purpose of this paper, aims to improve the convergence of Pareto front in multi-objective optimization design. The mathematical efficiency,the physical reasonableness and the reliability in dealing with redundant objectives of PCA are verified by typical DTLZ5 test function and multi-objective correlation analysis of supercritical airfoil,and the proposed method is integrated into aircraft multi-disciplinary design(AMDEsign) platform, which contains aerodynamics, stealth and structure weight analysis and optimization module.Then the proposed method is used for the multi-point integrated aerodynamic optimization of a wide-body passenger aircraft, in which the redundant objectives identified by PCA are transformed to optimization constraints, and several design methods are compared. The design results illustrate that the strategy used in this paper is sufficient and multi-point design requirements of the passenger aircraft are reached. The visualization level of non-dominant Pareto set is improved by effectively reducing the dimension without losing the primary feature of the problem. 展开更多

Multi-way principal component analysis (MPCA) had been successfully applied to monitoring the batch and semi-batch process in most chemical industry. An improved MPCA approach, step-by-step adaptive MPCA (SAMPCA), using the process variable trajectories to monitoring the batch process is presented in this paper. It does not need to estimate or fill in the unknown part of the process variable trajectory deviation from the current time until the end. The approach is based on a MPCA method that processes the data in a sequential and adaptive manner. The adaptive rate is easily controlled through a forgetting factor that controls the weight of past data in a summation. This algorithm is used to evaluate the industrial streptomycin fermentation process data and is compared with the traditional MPCA. The results show that the method is more advantageous than MPCA, especially when monitoring multi-stage batch process where the latent vector structure can change at several points during the batch. 展开更多
