Cloud computing is a set of Information Technology services offered to users over the web on a rented base. Such services enable the organizations to scale-up or scale-down their in-house foundations. Generally, cloud...Cloud computing is a set of Information Technology services offered to users over the web on a rented base. Such services enable the organizations to scale-up or scale-down their in-house foundations. Generally, cloud services are provided by a third-party supplier who possesses the arrangement. Cloud computing has many advantages such as flexibility, efficiency, scalability, integration, and capital reduction. Moreover, it provides an advanced virtual space for organizations to deploy their applications or run their operations. With disregard to the possible benefits of cloud computing services, the organizations are reluctant to invest in cloud computing mainly due to security concerns. Security is one of the main challenges that hinder the growth of cloud computing. At the same time, service providers strive to reduce the risks over the clouds and increase their reliability in order to build mutual trust between them and the cloud customers. By using multi-source big data review and qualitative researchmethods, the perception evaluation of tourists in Nanluoguxiang is obtained, and the shortcomings ofcurrent tourism development mode are analyzed. Due to ethical and logistical concerns it is common for data monitoring committees to periodically monitor accruing clinical trial data to assess the safety, and possibly efficacy, of a new experimental treatment. Whe...Due to ethical and logistical concerns it is common for data monitoring committees to periodically monitor accruing clinical trial data to assess the safety, and possibly efficacy, of a new experimental treatment. When formalized, monitoring is typically implemented using group sequential methods. In some cases regulatory agencies have required that primary trial analyses should be based solely on the judgment of an independent review committee (IRC). The IRC assessments can produce difficulties for trial monitoring given the time lag typically associated with receiving assessments from the IRC. This results in a missing data problem wherein a surrogate measure of response may provide useful information for interim decisions and future monitoring strategies. In this paper, we present statistical tools that are helpful for monitoring a group sequential clinical trial with missing IRC data. We illustrate the proposed methodology in the case of binary endpoints under various missingness mechanisms including missing completely at random assessments and when missingness depends on the IRC’s measurement.展开更多
Background and Purpose: In recent years, individual spirituality has been attracting attention, but little research has been conducted as it relates to family spirituality that applies this concept to the family and r...Background and Purpose: In recent years, individual spirituality has been attracting attention, but little research has been conducted as it relates to family spirituality that applies this concept to the family and relates to the meaning of the family’s existence in terms of the entire family. The purpose of this study was to clarify the attributes of family spirituality and the influencing factors of its decline. Methods: Regarding family spirituality, 1) a literature search was conducted using PubMed and reviews of 20 English-language articles;and 2) semi-structured interviews were conducted with 12 Japanese families having elderly members in the household. Data triangulation was performed for both, and a directed content analysis was conducted using Hohashi’s Concentric Sphere Family Environment Theory as the framework. Results: Attributes of family spirituality included 21 categories, such as “I think that my family exists for my children and grandchildren.” Factors influencing the decline in family spirituality included 20 categories in total, including 6 categories of risk/causal/promoting factors such as “lack of caring for family members”;11 categories of preventive/inhibitory/suppression factors such as “healthcare professionals not being close to the family”;and three categories of context-sensitive factors such as “death of a family member.” Conclusions/Implications for Practice: Family intervention requires nurses to understand the attributes of family spirituality and to control the influencing factors of a decline in family spirituality. Through such efforts, families will be able to discover the meaning of the existence of the family and maintain and improve their well-being.展开更多

In the era of big data, huge volumes of data are generated from online social networks, sensor networks, mobile devices, and organizations’ enterprise systems. This phenomenon provides organizations with unprecedente...In the era of big data, huge volumes of data are generated from online social networks, sensor networks, mobile devices, and organizations’ enterprise systems. This phenomenon provides organizations with unprecedented opportunities to tap into big data to mine valuable business intelligence. However, traditional business analytics methods may not be able to cope with the flood of big data. The main contribution of this paper is the illustration of the development of a novel big data stream analytics framework named BDSASA that leverages a probabilistic language model to analyze the consumer sentiments embedded in hundreds of millions of online consumer reviews. In particular, an inference model is embedded into the classical language modeling framework to enhance the prediction of consumer sentiments. The practical implication of our research work is that organizations can apply our big data stream analytics framework to analyze consumers’ product preferences, and hence develop more effective marketing and production strategies.展开更多
