Numerical Simulation on the Comb Drive Micro-Accelerometer

In this study, we research about comb-drive micro-structure, which is a MEMS device used to measure velocities and accelerations. To ensure the accuracy and visualization of the result, we simulate the dynamics of the comb drive?using COMSOL Multiphysics, meanwhile introducing the concept of re-meshing.?We aim to find the optimal comb-drive-building material, which can provide the device with the most desirable first eigenfrequency. According to the optimization process, silver is the most suitable construction material. Afterwards, the electric responses of both the optimized device and the pre-optimized one are analyzed in frequency domain and stationary study. We conclude that the capacitance change is positively related to frequency in a linear manner, and that the optimized device has a larger increment of both displacement and capacitance per unit of frequency change than the pre-optimized one, showing that the optimization of material realizes our goal of enhancing electrical performance. 展开更多

From the point of view of ene... The operational principle and the lumped parameters model of capacitive micro-accelerometer are introduced. The equivalent stiffness of different directions of the accelerometer is given. From the point of view of energy and mechanics, expressions of some key parameters, such as the damping, sensitivity, resolution of the accelerometer, are derived. The accelerometer noise behavior of mechanical-thermal noise in the open-loop system, along with the dynamic range of the open-loop system and closed-loop system is analyzed. The result is that the noise of the capacitive micro accelerometer is dominated by the magnitude of mechanical-thermal noise. At the same time, the magnitude of mechanical-thermal noise depends on the temperature and magnitude of mechanical damp. The result of the measurement from the implemented closed-loop microo-accelerometer system shows that the resolution is the level of rag, and the measurement range is from -50g to 50g. 展开更多

Resonant tunnelling diodes (RTDs) have negative differential resistance effect, and the current-voltage characteristics change as a function of external stress, which is regarded as mesc-piezoresistance effect of RTDs. In this paper, a novel micro-accelerometer based on AlAs/GaAs/In0.1Ga0.9As/GaAs/AlAs RTDs is designed and fabricated to be a four-beam-mass structure, and an RTD-Wheatstone bridge measurement system is established to test the basic properties of this novel accelerometer. According to the experimental results, the sensitivity of the RTD based micro-accelerometer is adjustable within a range of 3 orders when the bias voltage of the sensor changes. The largest sensitivity of this RTD based miero-accelerometer is 560.2025 mV/g which is about 10 times larger than that of silicon based micro piezoresistive accelerometer, while the smallest one is 1.49135 mV/g. 展开更多

A vertically movable gate field effect transistor(VMGFET) is proposed and demonstrated for a microaccelerometer application. The VMGFET using air gap as an insulator layer allows the gate to move on the substrate vertically by external forces. Finite element analysis is used to simulate mechanical behaviors of the designed structure. For the simulation, the ground acceleration spectrum of the 1952 Kern County Earthquake is employed to investigate the structural integrity of the sensor in vibration. Based on the simulation, a prototype VMGFET accelerometer is fabricated from silicon on insulator wafer. According to current–voltage characteristics of the prototype VMGFET, the threshold voltage is measured to be 2.32 V, which determines the effective charge density and the mutual transconductance of1.545910-8C cm-2and 6.59 m A V-1, respectively. The device sensitivity is 9.36–9.42 m V g-1in the low frequency,and the first natural frequency is found to be 1230 Hz. The profile smoothness of the sensed signal is in 3 d B range up to1 k Hz. 展开更多

To achieve a high precision capacitive closed-loop micro-accelerometer,a full differential CMOS based on switched-capacitor circuit was presented in this paper as the sensor interface circuit.This circuit consists of a balance-bridge module,a charge sensitive amplifier,a correlated-double-sampling module,and a logic timing control module.A special two-path feedback circuit configuration was given to improve the system linearity.The quantitative analysis of error voltage and noise shows that there is tradeoff around circuit's noise,speed and accuracy.A detailed design method was given for this tradeoff.The noise performance optimized circuit has a noise root spectral density of 1.0 μV/Hz,equivalent to rms noise root spectral density of 1.63 μg/Hz.Therefore,the sensor's Brown noise becomes the main noise source in this design.This circuit is designed with 0.5 μm n-well CMOS process.Under a ±5 V supply,the Hspice simulation shows that the system sensitivity achieves 0.616 V/g,the system offset is as low as 1.456 mV,the non-linearity is below 0.03%,and the system linear range achieves ±5 g. 展开更多

Magnon frequency combs have garnered significant attention due to their wide-ranging potential applications,primarily generated by the interplay between spin waves and oscillating magnetic textures.Developing an easily achievable magnon frequency comb with directly tunable comb spacing is pivotal for broadening its utility.In this study,we engineered a Bloch-type magnetic domain wall with a stable structure and fixed position by employing a dual-pinning approach utilizing artificial structural defects and stray fields.We established a magnetic domain wall oscillation mode based on resonant Larmor precession,serving as the foundation for a magnon frequency comb derived from magnetic domain walls.By leveraging the locally distributed Oersted field generated by an alternating current,we achieved precise control over the oscillation frequency of the domain wall,thereby realizing a magnon frequency comb with directly tunable comb spacing.The insights from this research offer a promising shortcut for exploring frequency combs based on the interaction between spin waves and magnetic domain walls. 展开更多

We theoretically demonstrate that multipartite entanglement and one-way Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen(EPR)steering in a magnon frequency comb(MFC)can be generated in a hybrid magnon-skyrmion system.When the system is driven by two microwave fields at the magnonic whispering gallery mode(m WGM)and the skyrmion,the skyrmion can be simultaneously entangled with three magnon modes of the MFC and the entanglement of the first-order magnon pair in the MFC also appears.The results show that the perfect one-way steering between the skyrmion and the three magnons can be obtained.Interestingly,the steering direction can be manipulated by controlling the amplitudes of two drive fields,which provides flexibility in controlling the asymmetry of the EPR steering and may well have practical applications.Moreover,the genuine tripartite entanglement among the skyrmion and the first-order magnon pair can be achieved with appropriate parameters in the steady state.Our work exhibits that the MFC has great potential in preparing multi-mode entanglement resources,with promising applications in quantum communication. 展开更多

Improving the activity of waste concrete recycled powder by a mechanical-microwave combing method

Purpose–The efficient utilization of recycled concrete powder(RCP)has attracted much attention.To break through the limitation of single activation technology of RCP,this study investigates the effects of a mechanical-microwave method on the reactivity of RCP.Design/methodology/approach–The mechanical properties,hydration products,and pore structure of RCP-incorporated mortar were evaluated.Findings–The results demonstrate that the combined activation reduces the median particle size of RCP and induces a low-frequency shift in the Si-O-T FT-IR characteristic peaks,signifying depolymerization of the silicate network and formation of highly reactive broken bond sites.Concurrently,decreased Si2p and Al2p binding energies in XPS spectra confirm enhanced surface reactivity.The 28-day strength activity index(SAI)of RCP mortar improved from 65.7(untreated)to 82.2%under optimal activation conditions(90-min ball milling followed by 10-min microwave irradiation),outperforming solely mechanical activation by 3.6–6.1%.Furthermore,combined activation increased chemically bound water content from 22.8 to 33.7%,accompanied by a low-wavenumber shift in FT-IR peaks of hydration products.The total porosity of RCP mortar decreased from 17.2 to 14.6%,indicating a denser pore structure.Originality/value–This study explores the feasibility and potential mechanism of mechanical-microwave activation of RCP,aiming to provide valuable insights for the sustainable development of materials.Using activated RCP in cement-based materials reduces the demand for cement and substantially cuts carbon emissions,thereby making a critical contribution to the construction industry’s green and low-carbon transition. 展开更多

[Method] The content of total flavonoids weas determined based on samples including comb honey, propolis, royal jelly, linden tree honey, with a polyamide column chromatography by spectrophotometry at 360 nm wavelength. [Result] The recovery rate of the method was above 90%, and the variation coefficient was lower than 2%. Compared with the traditional method, this method has less reagent consumption, simple operation and so on.[Conclusion] The content of total flavonoids in comb honey was 14.97 mg/100 g, although is only 0.87% of the total flavone content in propolis. The contained total flavonoids at least doubled than that of others and comb honey is more valuable in the content of flavonoids. 展开更多

全保偏光频梳系统的研制与噪声特性优化

光学频率梳是光钟频率传递的核心技术,其噪声特性决定频率测量精度.载波包络偏移频率(f_(ceo))线宽是光梳噪声特性的关键表征,因此通过噪声抑制实现f_(ceo)线宽压缩优化是该领域重要研究目标.本文基于色散管理技术搭建了保偏9字腔锁模... 光学频率梳是光钟频率传递的核心技术,其噪声特性决定频率测量精度.载波包络偏移频率(f_(ceo))线宽是光梳噪声特性的关键表征,因此通过噪声抑制实现f_(ceo)线宽压缩优化是该领域重要研究目标.本文基于色散管理技术搭建了保偏9字腔锁模激光器(F9L),重复频率197.8—200.65 MHz连续可调.与先前实验搭建的重复频率相同的非线性偏振旋转(NPR)锁模激光器的相位噪声进行对比,以探究不同锁模机制对激光器噪声的影响.实验结果表明,在1 Hz—1 MHz积分范围内,F9L表现出更优的相位噪声性能.在F9L的基础上构建全保偏光学频率梳系统,采用共线型f-2f干涉仪成功获得47 dB信噪比的f_(ceo)信号.测量NPR和F9L两种锁模机制下自由运转的f_(ceo)线宽分别为221.5 kHz和11.4 kHz.此外,探究了泵浦电流噪声和F9L腔内波片角度对f_(ceo)线宽的影响,经优化后自由运转下f_(ceo)线宽压缩至6.6 kHz.最后,经两天连续锁定,计算得重复频率和f_(ceo)频率偏差的标准差分别为0.374 mHz和0.263 mHz. 展开更多

随着纺纱设备向智能化方向发展,针对传统的精梳条条干质量检测方法已无法满足行业对实时检测与智能化控制需求的问题,提出一种精梳条条干质量在线微波检测方法。首先,基于微波谐振腔微扰理论并结合精梳工艺及纤维特性建立条干密度与谐... 随着纺纱设备向智能化方向发展,针对传统的精梳条条干质量检测方法已无法满足行业对实时检测与智能化控制需求的问题,提出一种精梳条条干质量在线微波检测方法。首先,基于微波谐振腔微扰理论并结合精梳工艺及纤维特性建立条干密度与谐振腔频率的关系模型;其次,对微波传感器谐振腔的关键参数进行确定,计算谐振腔在TM 010工作模式下的半径与高度,并结合安装位置对传感器进行外形设计;随后,结合精梳机车速及采样周期对采样频率进行计算确定;然后,通过模拟谐振腔内棉条介电常数的变化进行条干密度仿真,并将理论密度值与仿真密度值进行对比分析,初步验证精梳条在线检测系统的理论正确性;最后,搭建在线检测实验平台进行现场实验,综合考虑灵敏度与误差后,选择了3种频率下的多组实验数据分别与条干仪的测量结果进行分析对比,结果表明,3种频率下的各条干变异系数(CV值)与条干仪测量数据的误差均在3%之内,证明该系统能够准确实现精梳条条干均匀度的在线检测。研究结果为实现精梳条条干在线检测系统的研究提供了理论参考和新思路。 展开更多
