Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with heavy moxibustion at Guan yuan （关元CV 4） in treating stress urinary incontinence of elderly women. Methods Patients （31 cases） were trea...Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with heavy moxibustion at Guan yuan （关元CV 4） in treating stress urinary incontinence of elderly women. Methods Patients （31 cases） were treated with acupuncture combined with double moxa sticks at CV 4 for 30 minutes, once a day, with 10 days of treatments as a therapeutic course, lasting for 3 courses and 3 days interval between courses. 4-5 courses were treated in severe cases. After treatment, condition of urinary incontinence of the patients was observed and the efficacy was analyzed. Results After treatment, 18 cases were cured, 7 cases were marked effective, 14 cases were effective and 2 cases were failed, and the total effective rate was 93.54%. Conclusion The acupuncture combined with heavy moxibustion at CV 4 has remarkable efficacy on stress urinary incontinence of elderly women.展开更多
In this article,one proved case of flaccid tongue treated by Guan’s tongue acupuncture was introduced by the three-step method of"puncture,prick,and swallowing".This case was an elderly female patient with ...In this article,one proved case of flaccid tongue treated by Guan’s tongue acupuncture was introduced by the three-step method of"puncture,prick,and swallowing".This case was an elderly female patient with Parkinson disease,which had the main clinical symptoms of flaccid and weak tongue,and speech and swallowing disorder,and was diagnosed as flaccid tongue(deficiency of the both qi and blood,and deficiency syndrome of liver and kidney).The patient received diagnosis and treatment based on an overall analysis of its dialectical characteristics,using the five acupoints of Heart,Jīnjīn(金津EX-HN12),Yùyè(玉液EX-HN13),Tongue root acupoint 1,and Tongue root acupoint 2 in total.First,the four acupoints of EX-HN12,EX-HN13,Tongue root acupoint 1,and Tongue root acupoint 2 were punctured successively,and then using the reinforcing method,the Heart on the tongue surface was pricked.Finally,the patient was advised to make a slow swallowing action.Through tongue acupuncture therapy for 6 times,the patient’s speech and swallowing function was improved,which achieved a satisfactory therapeutic effects.展开更多
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of Yiguanjian(YGJ) cataplasm on the development of opioid dependence in a mouse model of naloxone-induced opioid withdrawal syndrome.METHODS:One hundred Swiss albino mice,of equal m...OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of Yiguanjian(YGJ) cataplasm on the development of opioid dependence in a mouse model of naloxone-induced opioid withdrawal syndrome.METHODS:One hundred Swiss albino mice,of equal male to female ratio,were randomly and equally divided into 10 groups.A portion(3 cm2) of the backside hair of the mice was removed 1 day prior to the experiment.Morphine(5 mg/kg) was intraperitoneally administered twice daily for 5days.YGJ cataplasm was prepared and pasted on the bare region of the mice immediately beforemorphine administration on day 3 and subsequently removed at the end day 5.On day 6,naloxone(8mg/kg) was intraperitoneally injected to precipitate opioid withdrawal syndrome.Behavioral observation was performed in two 30-min phases immediately after naloxone injection.RESULTS:The YGJ cataplasm significantly and dose-dependently attenuated morphine-naloxone-induced experimental opioid withdrawal,in terms of withdrawal severity score and the frequencies of jumping,rearing,forepaw licking,and circling behaviors.However,YGJ cataplasm treatment did not alter the acute analgesic effect of morphine.CONCLUSION:YGJ cataplasm could attenuate opioid dependence and its associated withdrawal symptoms.Therefore,YGJ cataplasm could serve as a potential therapy for opioid addiction in the future.展开更多
Based on the statistical data of land use change,from the perspective of sustainable use,we use literature inquiry,statistical analysis,GIS spatial analysis and dynamic degree model of land use,to analyze the land use...Based on the statistical data of land use change,from the perspective of sustainable use,we use literature inquiry,statistical analysis,GIS spatial analysis and dynamic degree model of land use,to analyze the land use change characteristics,land use amount and spatial distribution characteristics in Guangzhou City during 1996- 2012,and further elaborate the driving forces of land use change to get the basic law of land use change in Guangzhou City. The results show that the construction land was rapidly expanded,causing a significant reduction in arable land( from 129286 ha in 1996 to 84567 ha in 2012); in construction land,the land for residential,industrial and mining use and transportation land dramatically increased,and the single dynamic degree of transportation land was close to 7. 1%. In comparison with other developed cities,it is found that economic factors and policy factors are important factors affecting land use change in Guangzhou City,and the growth rate of economic density of land was high in Tianhe District and Yuexiu District. From the perspective of sustainable use,the future land use in Guangzhou City needs to better coordinate the relationship between various types of land,between socio-economic development and coordinated land use development,between environmental protection and land development and utilization. Through a series of land consolidation activities,it is necessary to strengthen the protection of farmland,improve the intensive and economical use of construction land,improve the ecological environment,and coordinate development of urban and rural areas,to ultimately achieve sustainable land use in Guangzhou City.展开更多
Guan River Estuary and adjacent coastal area(GREC) suffer from serious pollution and eutrophicational problems over the recent years.Thus,reducing the land-based load through the national pollutant total load control ...Guan River Estuary and adjacent coastal area(GREC) suffer from serious pollution and eutrophicational problems over the recent years.Thus,reducing the land-based load through the national pollutant total load control program and developing hydrodynamic and water quality models that can simulate the complex circulation and water quality kinetics within the system,including longitudinal and lateral variations in nutrient and COD concentrations,is a matter of urgency.In this study,a three-dimensional,hydrodynamic,water quality model was developed in GREC,Northern Jiangsu Province.The complex three-dimensional hydrodynamics of GREC were modeled using the unstructured-grid,finite-volume,free-surface,primitive equation coastal ocean circulation model(FVCOM).The water quality model was adapted from the mesocosm nutrients dynamic model in the south Yellow Sea and considers eight compartments:dissolved inorganic nitrogen,soluble reactive phosphorus(SRP),phytoplankton,zooplankton,detritus,dissolved organic nitrogen(DON),dissolved organic phosphorus(DOP),and chemical oxygen demand.The hydrodynamic and water quality models were calibrated and confirmed for 2012 and 2013.A comparison of the model simulations with extensive dataset shows that the models accurately simulate the longitudinal distribution of the hydrodynamics and water quality.The model can be used for total load control management to improve water quality in this area.展开更多
