Enhancing the resilience of critical infrastructure(CI)systems has become a focal point of national and inter-national policies.However,the formulation of resilience enhancement strategies often requires component-(i....Enhancing the resilience of critical infrastructure(CI)systems has become a focal point of national and inter-national policies.However,the formulation of resilience enhancement strategies often requires component-(i.e.asset-)level prioritization,which entails many complexities.Acknowledging the complex and interdependent nature of infrastructure systems,this paper aims to aid researchers,practitioners and policy-makers by pre-senting a review of the relative literature and current state-of-the-art,and by identifying future research op-portunities to improve the applicability and operationalizability of CI component identification and prioritization methods.Theoretical and practical applications are reviewed for definitions,analysis and modelling approaches regarding the resilience of interdependent infrastructure systems.A detailed review of infrastructure criticality definitions,component criticality assessment and prioritization frameworks,from scientific,policy and other documents,is presented.A discussion on social justice and equity dimensions therein is included,which have the potential to greatly influence decisions and should always be incorporated in infrastructure planning and in-vestment discussions.The findings of this review are discussed in terms of applicability and operationalizability.Key recommendations for future research include:(i)developing quantification frameworks for CI component criticality based on formal definitions and multiple criteria,(ii)incorporating the entire resilience cycle of CI in component prioritization,(iii)accounting for the socio-technical nature of CI systems by integrating social di-mensions and their wider operating environment and(iv)developing comprehensive model validation,cali-bration and uncertainty analysis frameworks.展开更多

With the rapid development of the aviation industry,air travel has become one of the most important modes.Improving the service quality of civil aviation airports is crucial to their competitiveness.This study intends...With the rapid development of the aviation industry,air travel has become one of the most important modes.Improving the service quality of civil aviation airports is crucial to their competitiveness.This study intends to develop a scientific and rational evaluation methodology and framework for assessing service quality in civil aviation airports,thereby providing a theoretical foundation and practical guidance for enhancing service standards in the aviation industry.First,the study constructs a CRITIC-bidirectional grey possibility clustering model,which uses the CRITIC method to determine the weights of indicators and integrates the forward grey possibility clustering model and the inverse grey possibility clustering model to determine possibility functions from two perspectives.Second,a service quality evaluation index system for civil airports is constructed from four dimensions,and the weights of each index within the system are subsequently calculated.Finally,the constructed model is applied to evaluate the service quality of nine domestic civil airports.Based on the clustering results,targeted countermeasures and suggestions are proposed.Empirical results demonstrate that,compared to the traditional grey possibility clustering model,the proposed model balances the objectivity of indicator weighting,the objectivity of possibility function construction,and the simplicity of the computational process,thereby possessing significant theoretical and practical implications.展开更多

To ensure the safe transportation of radioactive materials,numerous countries have established specific standards.For the transfer of fissile materials,it is imperative that the material within the packaging remains i...To ensure the safe transportation of radioactive materials,numerous countries have established specific standards.For the transfer of fissile materials,it is imperative that the material within the packaging remains in a subcritical state during routine,normal,and accidental transport conditions.In the event of an accident,the rods within the storage tank may become rearranged,introducing uncertainty that must be accounted for to ensure that criticality analysis results are conservative.Historically,this uncertainty was addressed overly conservatively due to limited research on non-uniform arrangement scenarios,which proved unsuitable for criticality safety analysis of spent fuel packages.This paper introduced three distinct methods to non-uniformly rearrange fuel rods—Uniform Arrangement by Blocks,Layer-by-Layer Determination,and Birdcage Deformation—and meticulously evaluates the influences of rod rearrangement on the effective multiplication factor of neutrons,k eff,utilizing the Monte Carlo method.Ultimately,this study presents a holistic method capable of encompassing the entire spectrum of potential effects stemming from the rearrangement of fuel rods during rods mispositioning accident.By augmenting the safety margin,this approach proves to be adeptly suited for the criticality safety analysis of nuclear fuel transport containers.展开更多
Trajectory tracking for nonlinear robotic systems remains a fundamental yet challenging problem in control engineering,particularly when both precision and efficiency must be ensured.Conventional control methods are o...Trajectory tracking for nonlinear robotic systems remains a fundamental yet challenging problem in control engineering,particularly when both precision and efficiency must be ensured.Conventional control methods are often effective for stabilization but may not directly optimize long-term performance.To address this limitation,this study develops an integrated framework that combines optimal control principles with reinforcement learning for a single-link robotic manipulator.The proposed scheme adopts an actor–critic structure,where the critic network approximates the value function associated with the Hamilton–Jacobi–Bellman equation,and the actor network generates near-optimal control signals in real time.This dual adaptation enables the controller to refine its policy online without explicit system knowledge.Stability of the closed-loop system is analyzed through Lyapunov theory,ensuring boundedness of the tracking error.Numerical simulations on the single-link manipulator demonstrate that themethod achieves accurate trajectory followingwhile maintaining lowcontrol effort.The results further showthat the actor–critic learning mechanism accelerates convergence of the control policy compared with conventional optimization-based strategies.This work highlights the potential of reinforcement learning integrated with optimal control for robotic manipulators and provides a foundation for future extensions to more complex multi-degree-of-freedom systems.The proposed controller is further validated in a physics-based virtual Gazebo environment,demonstrating stable adaptation and real-time feasibility.展开更多
The cemented tailings backfill(CTB)with initial defects is more prone to destabilization damage under the influence of various unfavorable factors during the mining process.In order to investigate its influence on the...The cemented tailings backfill(CTB)with initial defects is more prone to destabilization damage under the influence of various unfavorable factors during the mining process.In order to investigate its influence on the stability of underground mining engineering,this paper simulates the generation of different degrees of initial defects inside the CTB by adding different contents of air-entraining agent(AEA),investigates the acoustic emission RA/AF eigenvalues of CTB with different contents of AEA under uniaxial compression,and adopts various denoising algorithms(e.g.,moving average smoothing,median filtering,and outlier detection)to improve the accuracy of the data.The variance and autocorrelation coefficients of RA/AF parameters were analyzed in conjunction with the critical slowing down(CSD)theory.The results show that the acoustic emission RA/AF values can be used to characterize the progressive damage evolution of CTB.The denoising algorithm processed the AE signals to reduce the effects of extraneous noise and anomalous spikes.Changes in the variance curves provide clear precursor information,while abrupt changes in the autocorrelation coefficient can be used as an auxiliary localization warning signal.The phenomenon of dramatic increase in the variance and autocorrelation coefficient curves during the compression-tightening stage,which is influenced by the initial defects,can lead to false warnings.As the initial defects of the CTB increase,its instability precursor time and instability time are prolonged,the peak stress decreases,and the time difference between the CTB and the instability damage is smaller.The results provide a new method for real-time monitoring and early warning of CTB instability damage.展开更多
The dual challenges of critical speed prediction inaccuracies and ambiguous vibration behaviors are present in high-speed flexible rotors,particularly in free turbine rotors in turboshaft engine systems.The study begi...The dual challenges of critical speed prediction inaccuracies and ambiguous vibration behaviors are present in high-speed flexible rotors,particularly in free turbine rotors in turboshaft engine systems.The study begins with an examination of the rotor-bearing bidirectional coupling mechanism,with a primary focus on the nonlinear characteristics of the bearing.An investigation is carried out on the mechanical modeling methodologies for four-point contact ball bearings(FPCBBs)and cylindrical roller bearings(CRBs).To address the issue of excessive computational time in traditional bearing calculation methods,the sled dog optimization(SDO)algorithm is substituted for the conventional Newton-Raphson method.A rotor-bearing coupling dynamics model is developed by the finite element and lumped mass methods,with experimental validation achieved through a simulator test rig.The effects of three internal bearing parameters in FPCBBs(arching width and raceway groove curvature coefficient)and CRBs(initial radial clearance)on the critical speed characteristics and vibrational behavior of rotorbearing coupled systems are examined.The numerical simulation results show some interesting conclusions.展开更多
Temperature-dependent resistivity,upper critical field H_(c2)and its anisotropy in overdoped superconducting Ba_(1-x)K_x Fe_2As_2(x=0.6-1)single crystals have been measured in steady magnetic fields up to 44 T and low...Temperature-dependent resistivity,upper critical field H_(c2)and its anisotropy in overdoped superconducting Ba_(1-x)K_x Fe_2As_2(x=0.6-1)single crystals have been measured in steady magnetic fields up to 44 T and low temperatures down to 0.4 K.Analysis using both the quadratic term and power-law fitting demonstrates that the in-plane resistivityρ_(ab)(T)progressively approaches the Fermi-liquid T~2behavior with increasing K doping and reaches a saturation plateau at x≈0.8.The temperature dependence of both H_(c2)^(ab)and H^(c)_(c2)follows the Werthamer-Helfand-Hohenberg model,incorporating orbital and spin paramagnetic effects.For x≤0.8,the orbital effect dominates for H ab,while the Pauli paramagnetic effect prevails for H c.For x>0.8,the Pauli paramagnetic effect becomes dominant in both crystallographic directions.The anisotropy of H_(c2)(0)exhibits a discontinuity in its dependence on K doping concentration with a significant enhancement at x=0.8 and a maximum at x=0.9.These experimental results indicate that the electron correlation effect is enhanced in the heavily overdoped Ba_(1-x)K_(x)Fe_(2)As_(2)system where the underlying symmetries are broken due to the Fermi surface reconstruction before x=0.9.展开更多
Many complex systems are frequently subject to the influence of uncertain disturbances,which can exert a profound effect on the critical transitions(CTs),potentially resulting in catastrophic consequences.Consequently...Many complex systems are frequently subject to the influence of uncertain disturbances,which can exert a profound effect on the critical transitions(CTs),potentially resulting in catastrophic consequences.Consequently,it is of uttermost importance to provide warnings for noise-induced CTs in various applications.Although capturing certain generic symptoms of transition behaviors from observational and simulated data poses a challenging problem,this work attempts to extract information regarding CTs from simulated data of a Gaussian white noise-induced tri-stable system.Using the extended dynamic mode decomposition(EDMD)algorithm,we initially obtain finite-dimensional approximations of both the stochastic Koopman operator and the generator.Subsequently,the drift parameters and the noise intensity within the system are identified from the simulated data.Utilizing the identified system,the parameter-dependent basin of the unsafe regime(PDBUR)is quantified,enabling data-driven early warning of Gaussian white noise-induced CTs.Finally,an error analysis is carried out to verify the effectiveness of the data-driven results.Our findings may serve as a paradigm for understanding and predicting noise-induced CTs in complex systems based on data.展开更多
The conventional Kibble–Zurek mechanism,describing driven dynamics across critical points based on the adiabatic-impulse scenario(AIS),has attracted broad attention.However,the driven dynamics at the tricritical poin...The conventional Kibble–Zurek mechanism,describing driven dynamics across critical points based on the adiabatic-impulse scenario(AIS),has attracted broad attention.However,the driven dynamics at the tricritical point with two independent relevant directions have not been adequately studied.Here,we employ the time-dependent variational principle to study the driven critical dynamics at a one-dimensional supersymmetric Ising tricritical point.For the relevant direction along the Ising critical line,the AIS apparently breaks down.Nevertheless,we find that the critical dynamics can still be described by finite-time scaling in which the driving rate has a dimension of r_(μ)=z+1/v_(μ)with z and v_(μ)being the dynamic exponent and correlation length exponent in this direction,respectively.For driven dynamics along another direction,the driving rate has a dimension of r_(p)=z+1/v_(p)with v_(p)being another correlation length exponent.Our work brings a new fundamental perspective into nonequilibrium critical dynamics near the tricritical point,which could be realized in programmable quantum processors in Rydberg atomic systems.展开更多

文摘The dual challenges of critical speed prediction inaccuracies and ambiguous vibration behaviors are present in high-speed flexible rotors,particularly in free turbine rotors in turboshaft engine systems.The study begins with an examination of the rotor-bearing bidirectional coupling mechanism,with a primary focus on the nonlinear characteristics of the bearing.An investigation is carried out on the mechanical modeling methodologies for four-point contact ball bearings(FPCBBs)and cylindrical roller bearings(CRBs).To address the issue of excessive computational time in traditional bearing calculation methods,the sled dog optimization(SDO)algorithm is substituted for the conventional Newton-Raphson method.A rotor-bearing coupling dynamics model is developed by the finite element and lumped mass methods,with experimental validation achieved through a simulator test rig.The effects of three internal bearing parameters in FPCBBs(arching width and raceway groove curvature coefficient)and CRBs(initial radial clearance)on the critical speed characteristics and vibrational behavior of rotorbearing coupled systems are examined.The numerical simulation results show some interesting conclusions.

文摘Temperature-dependent resistivity,upper critical field H_(c2)and its anisotropy in overdoped superconducting Ba_(1-x)K_x Fe_2As_2(x=0.6-1)single crystals have been measured in steady magnetic fields up to 44 T and low temperatures down to 0.4 K.Analysis using both the quadratic term and power-law fitting demonstrates that the in-plane resistivityρ_(ab)(T)progressively approaches the Fermi-liquid T~2behavior with increasing K doping and reaches a saturation plateau at x≈0.8.The temperature dependence of both H_(c2)^(ab)and H^(c)_(c2)follows the Werthamer-Helfand-Hohenberg model,incorporating orbital and spin paramagnetic effects.For x≤0.8,the orbital effect dominates for H ab,while the Pauli paramagnetic effect prevails for H c.For x>0.8,the Pauli paramagnetic effect becomes dominant in both crystallographic directions.The anisotropy of H_(c2)(0)exhibits a discontinuity in its dependence on K doping concentration with a significant enhancement at x=0.8 and a maximum at x=0.9.These experimental results indicate that the electron correlation effect is enhanced in the heavily overdoped Ba_(1-x)K_(x)Fe_(2)As_(2)system where the underlying symmetries are broken due to the Fermi surface reconstruction before x=0.9.

文摘Many complex systems are frequently subject to the influence of uncertain disturbances,which can exert a profound effect on the critical transitions(CTs),potentially resulting in catastrophic consequences.Consequently,it is of uttermost importance to provide warnings for noise-induced CTs in various applications.Although capturing certain generic symptoms of transition behaviors from observational and simulated data poses a challenging problem,this work attempts to extract information regarding CTs from simulated data of a Gaussian white noise-induced tri-stable system.Using the extended dynamic mode decomposition(EDMD)algorithm,we initially obtain finite-dimensional approximations of both the stochastic Koopman operator and the generator.Subsequently,the drift parameters and the noise intensity within the system are identified from the simulated data.Utilizing the identified system,the parameter-dependent basin of the unsafe regime(PDBUR)is quantified,enabling data-driven early warning of Gaussian white noise-induced CTs.Finally,an error analysis is carried out to verify the effectiveness of the data-driven results.Our findings may serve as a paradigm for understanding and predicting noise-induced CTs in complex systems based on data.

文摘The conventional Kibble–Zurek mechanism,describing driven dynamics across critical points based on the adiabatic-impulse scenario(AIS),has attracted broad attention.However,the driven dynamics at the tricritical point with two independent relevant directions have not been adequately studied.Here,we employ the time-dependent variational principle to study the driven critical dynamics at a one-dimensional supersymmetric Ising tricritical point.For the relevant direction along the Ising critical line,the AIS apparently breaks down.Nevertheless,we find that the critical dynamics can still be described by finite-time scaling in which the driving rate has a dimension of r_(μ)=z+1/v_(μ)with z and v_(μ)being the dynamic exponent and correlation length exponent in this direction,respectively.For driven dynamics along another direction,the driving rate has a dimension of r_(p)=z+1/v_(p)with v_(p)being another correlation length exponent.Our work brings a new fundamental perspective into nonequilibrium critical dynamics near the tricritical point,which could be realized in programmable quantum processors in Rydberg atomic systems.
