Application of Linear Model Predictive Control and Input-Output Linearization to Constrained Control of 3D Cable Robots

Cable robots are structurally the same as parallel robots but with the basic difference that cables can only pull the platform and cannot push it. This feature makes control of cable robots a lot more challenging compared to parallel robots. This paper introduces a controller for cable robots under force constraint. The controller is based on input-output linearization and linear model predictive control. Performance of input-output linearizing (IOL) controllers suffers due to constraints on input and output variables. This problem is successfully tackled by augmenting IOL controllers with linear model predictive controller (LMPC). The effecttiveness of the proposed method is illustrated by numerical simulation. 展开更多

Based on the exact linearization method in nonlinear system control theory, a nonlinear feedback control law is presented for a class of non_affine control systems. The mathematical model describing motion of nonlinear viscoelastic plates is established, and it is simplified by the Galerkin method. The phase space portrait and the power spectrum are employed to demonstrate chaos in the system. The deflection is treated as an output, and is controlled to given periodic goals. 展开更多

This paper discusses the design of event-triggered output-feedback controller for a class of nonlinear time-delay systems with multiple uncertainties. In sharp contrast to previous works, the considered systems possess two important characteristics: (i) The uncertain nonlinear terms meet the linearly unmeasurable-states dependent growth with the growth rate being an unknown function of the input and output. (ii) There exist input matching uncertainty and unknown measurement sensitivity. By introducing a single dynamic gain and employing a cleverly devised event-triggering mechanism (ETM), we design a new gain-based event-triggered output-feedback controller, which globally regulates all states of the considered systems and maintains global boundedness of the closed-loop system. Furthermore, the estimation of input matching uncertainty achieves convergence towards its actual value, and Zeno behavior does not happen. Two simulation examples including a practical one show that the proposed approach is effective. 展开更多

It is shown thatthe output regulation problem by CNF control is solvable underthe same solvability conditions of the output regulation problemby linear control. However, with the virtue of the CNF control, thetransient performance of the closed-loop system can be improvedby carefully designing the linear part and the nonlinear part of theCNF control law. This study concentrates on solving the output consensus problem for a class of heterogeneous uncertain nonstrict-feedback nonlinear multi-agent systems under switching-directed communication topologies,in which all followers are subjected to multi-type input constraints such as unknown asymmetric saturation,unknown dead-zone and their integration.A unified representation is presented to overcome the difficulties originating from multi-agent input constraints.Moreover,the uncertain system functions in a non-lower triangular form and the interaction terms among agents are dealt with by exploiting the fuzzy logic systems and their special property.Furthermore,by introducing a nonlinear filter to alleviate the problem of“explosion of complexity”during the backstepping design,a distributed common adaptive control protocol is proposed to ensure that the synchronization errors converge to a small neighborhood of the origin despite the existence of multiple input constraints and arbitrary switching communication topologies.Both stability analysis and simulation results are conducted to show the effectiveness and performance of the proposed control methodology. 展开更多

In the developed model, the size of the input space is directly related to the system order. By monitoring the identification error characteristic curve, we are able to determine the system order and subsequently an appropriate network structure for systems identification. Simulation results are promising and show that generic nonlinear systems can be identified, different cases of the same system can also be discriminated by our model. 展开更多

Existing minimum-mean-squared-error (MMSE) transceiver designs in amplified-and-forward (AF) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) two-way relay systems all assume a linear precoder at the sources. Non-linear source precoders in such a system have not been considered yet. In this paper, we study the joint design of source Tomlinson-Harashima precoders (THPs), relay linear precoder and MMSE receivers in two-way relay systems. This joint design problem is a highly nonconvex optimization problem. By dividing the original problem into three sub-problems, we propose an iterative algorithm to optimize precoders and receivers. The convergence of the algorithm is ensured since the updated solution is optimal to each sub-problem. Numerical simulation results show that the proposed iterative algorithm outperforms other algorithms in the high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) region. 展开更多

[Result] Considering the substitution effect of labor in- put and capital input, under the same technical conditions, the effect of increasing labor input on the rice production in per 667 m2 was negative, based on which 2 pieces of policy suggestions were put forward to promote the transfer of surplus la- bor force of rice growers and ensure the capital supply for rice production. [Objective] The aim was to explore interrelationship between agricultural input and output in Jiangsu and the influence degrees of input factors on agricultur-al output. [Method] Quantitative analysis and evaluation were made on agricultural input and output in Jiangsu during 1990-2012 as per factor analysis and regression analysis. [Result] The result of factor analysis showed that since the 1990s, the comprehensive efficiency of agricultural input/output in Jiangsu was growing and in-put/output of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery, crop farming, and of food production were extracted, whose scores reflect the changes of input/output ef-ficiencies in terms of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, fishery, crop farming and food production in the two decades. The results of regression analysis indicated that the effects of the three indices on agricultural output tended to be volatile and the influence degrees were concluded also by regression parameters. [Conclusion] The research provides theoretical references for agricultural input/output structure in Jiangsu Province. 展开更多
