It is illustrated that vibrations induced by train, except traditional recognized noises and interfer- ence effects, could be used as a seismic source to detect crustal structures with its advantage of abundant frequency spectrum, repeatability and no additional harm to the environment. It will bring lights to the traditional exploration seismology with the further studies of signal processing and interpretation methods, and related models and new observing systems.展开更多

Methods: PBMCs were isolated directly from white blood...Objective: This study is aimed at developing a simple and easy way to generate dendritic cells (DCs) from human peripheral blood monocytes (PBMCs) in vitro. Methods: PBMCs were isolated directly from white blood cell rather than whole blood and purified by patching methods (collecting the attached cell and removing the suspension cell). DCs were then generated by culturing PBMCs for six days with 30 ng/ml recombinant human granulocyte-macrophage stimulating factor (rhGM-CSF) and 20 ng/ml recombinant human interleukin-4 (rhIL-4) in vitro. On the sixth day, TNF-alpha (TNFα) 30 ng/ml was added into some DC cultures, which were then incubated for two additional days. The morphology was monitored by light microscopy and transmission electronic microscopy, and the phenotypes were determined by flow cytometry. Autologous mixed leukocyte reactions (MLR) were used to characterize DC function after TNFα or lipopolysaccharide (LPS) stimulations for 24 h. Results: After six days of culture, the monocytes developed significant dendritic morphology and a portion of cells expressed CDIa, CD80 and CD86, features of DCs. TNFα treatment induced DCs maturation and up-regulation of CD80, CD86 and CD83. Autologous MLR demonstrated that these DCs possess potent T-cell stimulatory capacity. Conclusion: This study developed a simple and easy way to generate DCs from PBMCs exposed to rhGM-CSF and rhIL-4. The DCs produced by this method acquired morphologic and antigenic characteristics of DCs.展开更多

In the present article, problems were analyzed regarding the assessment of responder countermeasures, training of professionals and the management of emergency medical incidents related to nuclear, biological and chemical attacks. Countermeasures, the establishment of response coordination, public education, practical training and exercise, and a professional consultant team or system should be the focus of emergency medical response facilities. Moreover, the government was offered professionals who are involved in managing nuclear, biological and chemical incidents.展开更多

The developed numerical method, which is very effective, was used to study the nonlinear evolution. of T-S disturbance wave at finite amplitudes. Solving nonlinear equations of different modes by using predictor-corrector and iterative approach, which is uncoupled between modes, improving computational accuracy by using high order compact differential scheme, satisfying normalization condition I determining tables of nonlinear terms at different modes, and implementing stably the spatial marching, were included in this method. With different initial amplitudes, the nonlinear evolution of T-S wave was studied. The problem is reduced to solve a set of standard Cauchy-type singular equations. And the stress intensity factors at points of crack and inclusion were obtained. Besides, the singularity for the horizontal contact of crack and inclusion was analyzed. Our results showed that the neurological symptoms and signs, serum copper and serum ceruloplasmin were improved in the operative group but deteriorated in the non-operative control group. Our study showed that hepatic transplantation is better than penicillamine in the treatment of Wilson’s disease.展开更多

The results s...The food consumption and ecological conversion efficiency of a species marine pelagic andsmall size fish, Hyporhamphus sajori, were determined by using in situ stomach content method presented by Eggers. The results showed that: (1) the fish was taken in food all day, so empty-stomach rate was very low, taking up about 4.5% of the total determined fish number. However, the fish still has significant daily feeding rhythm. A feeding peak was found 0:00 o'clock at night, but feeding level was always high in the daytime; (2) relationship between instantaneous food content in stomach and corresponding time could be described as S_t = a · e (-b·t). There was not significant difference of instantaneous gastric evacuation rate between two determinations, with average value being 0.13 × 10^(-2) g/ (g' h) (wet weight); (3) the daily food consumption tended to change in irregular waving form, with average value being (10.16Xl0^(-2)±1.19xl0(-2) g/ (g·d) (wet weight) or (55.56 × 10(-2) ±6.51 × 10^(-2) kJ/ (g·d). The wave distance is constant and about 14 d, but the wave height changed largely; (4) actual determining value of daily growth rate was 3.24 × 10^(-2)g/ (g·d) (wet weight) or 12.91 × 10^(-2)kJ/ (g·d), from which 31.89% (wet weight) or 23.24% kJ of ecological conversion efficiency could be obtained.展开更多
