Peripheral nerve injury causes severe neuroinflammation and has become a global medical challenge.Previous research has demonstrated that porcine decellularized nerve matrix hydrogel exhibits excellent biological prop...Peripheral nerve injury causes severe neuroinflammation and has become a global medical challenge.Previous research has demonstrated that porcine decellularized nerve matrix hydrogel exhibits excellent biological properties and tissue specificity,highlighting its potential as a biomedical material for the repair of severe peripheral nerve injury;however,its role in modulating neuroinflammation post-peripheral nerve injury remains unknown.Here,we aimed to characterize the anti-inflammatory properties of porcine decellularized nerve matrix hydrogel and their underlying molecular mechanisms.Using peripheral nerve injury model rats treated with porcine decellularized nerve matrix hydrogel,we evaluated structural and functional recovery,macrophage phenotype alteration,specific cytokine expression,and changes in related signaling molecules in vivo.Similar parameters were evaluated in vitro using monocyte/macrophage cell lines stimulated with lipopolysaccharide and cultured on porcine decellularized nerve matrix hydrogel-coated plates in complete medium.These comprehensive analyses revealed that porcine decellularized nerve matrix hydrogel attenuated the activation of excessive inflammation at the early stage of peripheral nerve injury and increased the proportion of the M2 subtype in monocytes/macrophages.Additionally,porcine decellularized nerve matrix hydrogel negatively regulated the Toll-like receptor 4/myeloid differentiation factor 88/nuclear factor-κB axis both in vivo and in vitro.Our findings suggest that the efficacious anti-inflammatory properties of porcine decellularized nerve matrix hydrogel induce M2 macrophage polarization via suppression of the Toll-like receptor 4/myeloid differentiation factor 88/nuclear factor-κB pathway,providing new insights into the therapeutic mechanism of porcine decellularized nerve matrix hydrogel in peripheral nerve injury.展开更多

These adenoviruses were propagated in HEK293 cells via homologous recombination for 7-10 days in vivo,then they were used to infect human neural stem ceils.The infection and expression of gene were tested under immunofluorescence.ELISA and Westem-blot after 48 hours.Results:Almost all the cultured cells showed the nestin immunofluorescence positive staining,which was the characteristics of neural stem cell.A great quantity of EGFP and KFP were observed in neural stem cells,which indicated the expression of GDNF and sTMFRⅠ.After transfection of GDNF and sTMFRⅠgenes,many neural stem cells show GFAP and tubulin immunofluorescence positive staining,which meant that most neural stem cells differentiated into neuron at that condition.Conclusions:The infective efficiency of adenovirus is greatly acceptable to neural stem cell,thus adenovirus provide a useful vector for exogenous GDNF and sTMFRⅠgenes expressing in neural stem cells,which is useful for differentiation of neural stem cell.展开更多

Corticotomy is a clinical procedure to accelerate orthodontic tooth movement characterized by the regional acceleratory phenomenon(RAP).Despite its therapeutic effects,the surgical risk and unclear mechanism hamper th...Corticotomy is a clinical procedure to accelerate orthodontic tooth movement characterized by the regional acceleratory phenomenon(RAP).Despite its therapeutic effects,the surgical risk and unclear mechanism hamper the clinical application.Numerous evidences support macrophages as the key immune cells during bone remodeling.Our study discovered that the monocyte-derived macrophages primarily exhibited a pro-inflammatory phenotype that dominated bone remodeling in corticotomy by CX3CR1CreERT2;R26GFP lineage tracing system.Fluorescence staining,flow cytometry analysis,and western blot determined the significantly enhanced expression of binding immunoglobulin protein(BiP)and emphasized the activation of sensor activating transcription factor 6(ATF6)in macrophages.Then,we verified that macrophage specific ATF6 deletion(ATF6f/f;CX3CR1CreERT2 mice)decreased the proportion of pro-inflammatory macrophages and therefore blocked the acceleration effect of corticotomy.In contrast,macrophage ATF6 overexpression exaggerated the acceleration of orthodontic tooth movement.In vitro experiments also proved that higher proportion of pro-inflammatory macrophages was positively correlated with higher expression of ATF6.At the mechanism level,RNA-seq and CUT&Tag analysis demonstrated that ATF6 modulated the macrophage-orchestrated inflammation through interacting with Tnfαpromotor and augmenting its transcription.Additionally,molecular docking simulation and dual-luciferase reporter system indicated the possible binding sites outside of the traditional endoplasmic reticulum-stress response element(ERSE).Taken together,ATF6 may aggravate orthodontic bone remodeling by promoting Tnfαtranscription in macrophages,suggesting that ATF6 may represent a promising therapeutic target for non-invasive accelerated orthodontics.展开更多

As anterior crossbite tends to worsen with growth, early orthodontic treatment can harness growth potential to normalize maxillofacial development or reduce skeletal malformation severity, thereby reducing the difficulty and shortening the treatment cycle of later-stage treatment. This is beneficial for the physical and mental growth of children. Therefore,early orthodontic treatment for Class Ⅲ malocclusion is particularly important. Determining the optimal timing for early orthodontic treatment requires a comprehensive assessment of clinical manifestations, dental age, and skeletal age, and can lead to better results with less effort. Currently, standardized treatment guidelines for early orthodontic treatment of Class Ⅲ malocclusion are lacking. This review provides a comprehensive summary of the etiology, clinical manifestations, classification, and early orthodontic techniques for Class Ⅲ malocclusion, along with systematic discussions on selecting early treatment plans. Background:To evaluate the feasibility and safety of a novel cable-transmitted magnetically controlled capsule endoscopy(CTMCE)system for upper gastrointestinal examination.Methods:Twenty-six participants(19 healthy v...Background:To evaluate the feasibility and safety of a novel cable-transmitted magnetically controlled capsule endoscopy(CTMCE)system for upper gastrointestinal examination.Methods:Twenty-six participants(19 healthy volunteers and seven patients with gastrointestinal symptoms)willing to undergo upper gastrointestinal endoscopy were recruited.Each participant underwent CT-MCE followed by conventional gastroscopy within 24 h.Maneuverability and visibility of the CT-MCE capsule in the upper gastrointestinal tract,adverse events,and discomfort during the procedure were evaluated.The sensitivity and specificity of CT-MCE for diagnosing upper gastrointestinal lesions were evaluated using conventional gastroscopy findings as the standard.Results:Maneuverability was graded as“good”for all segments of the esophagus.The percentage of participants in which maneuverability was good according to gastric region was as follows:cardia(100.00%),pylorus(96.15%),angulus(92.31%),antrum(88.46%),fundus(84.62%),and body(73.08%).In the duodenal bulb and descending duodenum,it was good in only 20.83% and 16.67% of participants,respectively.Visibility was graded as“excellent”or“good”in the esophagus,Z line,and duodenal bulb in all participants;excellent/good visibility was achieved in the stomach and descending duodenum in 96.15% and 79.17% of participants,respectively.Forty-one lesions were detected overall.The sensitivity and specificity of CT-MCE in diagnosing upper gastrointestinal lesions were 85.00% and 98.15%,respectively.The CT-MCE capsule was successfully removed through the mouth in all participants.No serious adverse events or capsule retention occurred.Conclusions:CT-MCE showed good feasibility and safety for upper gastrointestinal examination.The system was effective in examining the esophagus and stomach with no risk of capsule retention.展开更多
Steel rolling sludge,an oil-containing waste generated during steel production,was difficult to manage.Prolonged storage poses significant environmental and health hazards.Most steel enterprises in China use steel rol...Steel rolling sludge,an oil-containing waste generated during steel production,was difficult to manage.Prolonged storage poses significant environmental and health hazards.Most steel enterprises in China use steel rolling sludge directly as a raw material for sintering.However,its adhesive nature caused poor mixing with other materials,affecting the quality of the sinter.Herein,the incorporation of steel rolling sludge incineration slag into the sintering process was investigated for experimental purposes.The results indicated that adding 1%incinerated steel rolling sludge to the sintering raw material was feasible.At this proportion,both the yield and the tumbler index of the sinter have improved,primarily due to the oxidation reaction of Fe_(3)O_(4)present in the steel rolling sludge incineration slag during the sintering process,which significantly increases the sensible heat of the sinter and enhances the sintering mineralization reaction.Notably,the addition of steel rolling sludge incineration slag reduced dioxin concentrations in the sintering flue gas.Although CO,NO_(x),and SO_(2)emission concentrations slightly increased,the existing flue gas treatment system effectively controlled their emissions.展开更多
BACKGROUND Depression and anxiety are prevalent psychological challenges among patients with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis(AIS),affecting individuals across both sex and age groups.AIM To explore the network structu...BACKGROUND Depression and anxiety are prevalent psychological challenges among patients with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis(AIS),affecting individuals across both sex and age groups.AIM To explore the network structure of depression and anxiety symptoms,with a focus on identifying differences at the symptom level between sex and age subgroups.METHODS A total of 1955 participants diagnosed with AIS aged 10-18 years were assessed using the Patient Health Questionnaire Depression Scale(PHO-9)and the Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale(GAD-7),and 765 patients exhibiting PHQ-9 or GAD-7 scores ≥ 5 were enrolled in our study. Network analysis and network comparison tests were utilized toconstruct and compare the depression-anxiety symptoms networks among sex and age subgroups.RESULTSThe results revealed GAD3 “Excessive worry” and PHQ2 “Sad mood” were the most significant central symptomsin all subgroups, while “Sad mood” had higher strength than “Excessive worry” in the lower age group. In thenetwork comparisons, the female network exhibited tighter connectivity, especially on GAD6 “Irritability” andGAD2 “Uncontrollable worry”, while only PHQ3 “Sleep” and PHQ9 “Suicidal ideation” had differences at thelocal level in the lower age group.CONCLUSIONSeveral interventions targeting excessive worry and sad mood could reduce the risk of depression and anxietysymptoms in the AIS population. Furthermore, specific anxiety symptoms in females, along with sleep disturbancesand suicidal ideation in the lower age group, should be addressed at an early stage to prevent significantdisruptions in mental health trajectories.展开更多
Aqueous zinc ion batteries(AZIBs)have excellent development prospects due to their high theoretical capacity and low cost.Nevertheless,the commercial separator represented by glass fiber(GF)in AZIBs usually exhibits u...Aqueous zinc ion batteries(AZIBs)have excellent development prospects due to their high theoretical capacity and low cost.Nevertheless,the commercial separator represented by glass fiber(GF)in AZIBs usually exhibits uneven porosity,poor zincophilicity,and insufficient functional groups,resulting in the emergence of the zinc anode dendrites and side reactions.Designing a separator with specific interfacial ion transport behavior is essential to achieve a highly stable reversible zinc anode.Herein,an anionic metal-organic framework(MOF)functionalized separator(GF-Bio-MOF-100)was presented to accelerate the desolvation process and modulate Zn^(2+)flux,thereby delivering the decreased nucleation overpotential and uniform Zn^(2+)deposition.The in-depth kinetics investigations combined with the in-situ Raman spectroscopy demonstrate that the carbonyl group within the Bio-MOF-100 is capable of capturing the H_(2)O molecules of[Zn(H_(2)O)_(6)]^(2+)via the H-bond interaction,which further accelerates the desolvation process and transport kinetics of Zn^(2+).Meanwhile,the anionic framework of the GFBio-MOF-100 separator acts as an interfacial ion channel to regulate the Zn^(2+)flux and enables dendrite-free Zn^(2+)deposition and growth.Consequently,the Zn|GF-Bio-MOF-100|Zn symmetric cell exhibited a stable Zn^(2+)plating/stripping behavior and it could cycle for 2000 h at 0.3 mA cm^(-2).Additionally,the assembled Zn|GF-Bio-MOF-100|MnO_(2)full cell delivers a capacity retention of 83.9% after 1000 cycles at 0.5 A g^(-1).This work provides new insights into the design of functionalized separators for long-life AZIBs.展开更多
The widespread adoption of cloud computing has underscored the critical importance of efficient resource allocation and management, particularly in task scheduling, which involves assigning tasks to computing resource...The widespread adoption of cloud computing has underscored the critical importance of efficient resource allocation and management, particularly in task scheduling, which involves assigning tasks to computing resources for optimized resource utilization. Several meta-heuristic algorithms have shown effectiveness in task scheduling, among which the relatively recent Willow Catkin Optimization (WCO) algorithm has demonstrated potential, albeit with apparent needs for enhanced global search capability and convergence speed. To address these limitations of WCO in cloud computing task scheduling, this paper introduces an improved version termed the Advanced Willow Catkin Optimization (AWCO) algorithm. AWCO enhances the algorithm’s performance by augmenting its global search capability through a quasi-opposition-based learning strategy and accelerating its convergence speed via sinusoidal mapping. A comprehensive evaluation utilizing the CEC2014 benchmark suite, comprising 30 test functions, demonstrates that AWCO achieves superior optimization outcomes, surpassing conventional WCO and a range of established meta-heuristics. The proposed algorithm also considers trade-offs among the cost, makespan, and load balancing objectives. Experimental results of AWCO are compared with those obtained using the other meta-heuristics, illustrating that the proposed algorithm provides superior performance in task scheduling. The method offers a robust foundation for enhancing the utilization of cloud computing resources in the domain of task scheduling within a cloud computing environment.展开更多
Maize is a cornerstone of global food security,but it faces increasing challenges from corn aphids,particularly with the widespread adoption of genetically modified Bt maize.This trend suggests a growing need for sust...Maize is a cornerstone of global food security,but it faces increasing challenges from corn aphids,particularly with the widespread adoption of genetically modified Bt maize.This trend suggests a growing need for sustainable pest control strategies.Methyl salicylate has been proposed as a volatile compound with the potential for managing aphids.In this study,Y-tube olfactometer and Petri dish dispersal assays showed that methyl salicylate can repel wingless and winged aphids at 0.1 to 1,000 ngμL^(-1).Moreover,at concentrations of 100 and 1,000 ngμL^(-1),it was found to attract beneficial insects such as adults and larvae of Harmonia axyridis.Exposing maize plants to methyl salicylate resulted in a prominent reduction in the number of aphids compared to the control.In addition,clip cage experiment assays showed that the nymphal development duration was increased,while the adult duration and generation time were reduced,and the reproductive duration and total number of aphid offspring in plants treated with methyl salicylate were dramatically lower than in the control.Over two years of field trials,methyl salicylate-impregnated alginate beads provided significant reductions in the populations of key aphid species,including Rhopalosiphum padi,Rhopalosiphum maidis,and Aphis gossypii.Concurrently,there were marked increases in the presence of natural predators such as H.axyridis,Propylaea japonica,Syrphus corollae,and Chrysoperla sinica.These compelling results underscore the potential of methyl salicylate as a key component in integrated pest management strategies for maize,offering a green alternative to traditional chemical control.展开更多

Based on a study of the equilibrium of the spatial distribution of the capacity saturation models of all the primary schools in Changsha’s (China) five core districts, the results show that the overall geographical distribution of the primary schools in Changsha is relatively balanced, based on the natural characteristics of Changsha, such as human geography, and the moderate gradient between the central urban area and the primary schools in the suburbs and outer suburbs. Then the Theil index model was introduced, and the results of the model analysis show that the differences between elementary schools in Changsha urban area are relatively small, and the main differences originate from between districts rather than within districts, and subtle differences among regions mainly reflect in the teacher strength.展开更多

Objective:Safe and effective anticoagulation is essential for hemodialysis patients who are at high risk of bleeding.The purpose of this trial is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of two-stage regional citrate ...Objective:Safe and effective anticoagulation is essential for hemodialysis patients who are at high risk of bleeding.The purpose of this trial is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of two-stage regional citrate anticoagulation(RCA)combined with sequential anticoagulation and standard calcium-containing dialysate in intermittent hemodialysis(IHD)treatment.Methods:Patients at high risk of bleeding who underwent IHD from September 2019 to May 2021 were prospectively enrolled in 13 blood purification centers of nephrology departments,and were randomly divided into RCA group and saline flushing group.In the RCA group,0.04 g/mL sodium citrate was infused from the start of the dialysis line during blood draining and at the venous expansion chamber.The sodium citrate was stopped after 3 h of dialysis,which was changed to sequential dialysis without anticoagulant.The hazard ratios for coagulation were according to baseline.Results:A total of 159 patients and 208 sessions were enrolled,including RCA group(80 patients,110 sessions)and saline flushing group(79 patients,98 sessions).The incidence of severe coagulation events of extracorporeal circulation in the RCA group was significantly lower than that in the saline flushing group(3.64%vs.20.41%,P<0.001).The survival time of the filter pipeline in the RCA group was significantly longer than that in the saline flushing group((238.34±9.33)min vs.(221.73±34.10)min,P<0.001).The urea clearance index(Kt/V)in the RCA group was similar to that in the saline flushing group with no statistically significant difference(1.12±0.34 vs.1.08±0.34,P=0.41).Conclusions:Compared with saline flushing,the two-stage RCA combined with a sequential anticoagulation strategy significantly reduced extracorporeal circulation clotting events and prolonged the dialysis time without serious adverse events.展开更多
BACKGROUND Autoimmune pancreatitis(AIP)has been linked with elevated immunoglobulin(Ig)G4 levels.The characteristics and outcomes of AIP based on serum markers have not been fully evaluated.AIM To compare clinical fea...BACKGROUND Autoimmune pancreatitis(AIP)has been linked with elevated immunoglobulin(Ig)G4 levels.The characteristics and outcomes of AIP based on serum markers have not been fully evaluated.AIM To compare clinical features,treatment efficacy,and outcome of AIP based on serum IgG4 levels and analyze predictors of relapse.METHODS A total of 213 patients with AIP were consecutively reviewed in our hospital from 2006 to 2021.According to the serum IgG4 level,all patients were divided into two groups,the abnormal group(n=148)with a high level of IgG4[>2×upper limit of normal(ULN)]and the normal group(n=65).The t-test or Mann-Whitney U test was used to compare continuous variables.Categorical parameters were compared by theχ^(2) test or Fisher’s exact test.Kaplan-Meier curves Zhou GZ et al.Clinical characteristics and outcome of AIP WJG https://www.wjgnet.com 5126 September 21,2023 Volume 29 Issue 35 and log-rank tests were established to assess the cumulative relapse rates.Univariate and multivariate analyses were used to investigate potential risk factors of AIP relapse.RESULTS Compared with the normal group,the abnormal group had a higher average male age(60.3±10.4 vs 56.5±12.9 years,P=0.047);higher level of serum total protein(72.5±7.9 g/L vs 67.2±7.5 g/L,P<0.001),IgG4(1420.5±1110.9 mg/dL vs 252.7±106.6 mg/dL,P<0.001),and IgE(635.6±958.1 IU/mL vs 231.7±352.5 IU/mL,P=0.002);and a lower level of serum complement C3(100.6±36.2 mg/dL vs 119.0±45.7 mg/dL,P=0.050).In addition,a lower number of cases with abnormal pancreatic duct and pancreatic atrophy(23.6%vs 37.9%,P=0.045;1.6%vs 8.6%,P=0.020,respectively)and a higher rate of relapse(17.6%vs 6.2%,P=0.030)were seen in the abnormal group.Multivariate analyses revealed that serum IgG4[(>2×ULN),hazard ratio(HR):3.583;95%confidence interval(CI):1.218–10.545;P=0.020]and IgA(>1×ULN;HR:5.908;95%CI:1.199–29.120;P=0.029)and age>55 years(HR:2.383;95%CI:1.056–5.378;P=0.036)were independent risk factors of relapse.CONCLUSION AIP patients with high IgG4 levels have clinical features including a more active immune system and higher relapse rate.Several factors,such as IgG4 and IgA,are associated with relapse.展开更多
High-risk human papillomavirus (hrHPV) infection plays an important role in the development of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and cervical cancer.A total of 11 549 women were enrolled from the Maternal and Child H...High-risk human papillomavirus (hrHPV) infection plays an important role in the development of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and cervical cancer.A total of 11 549 women were enrolled from the Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Hubei Province.Each participant accepted hrHPV testing and completed a self^administered questionnaire about basic information and potential risk factors.The univariable and multivariable logistic regression model was used to explore the associations between variants and hrHPV infection.Our results showed that hrHPV prevalence was 16.09% in Hubei Province,among which,hrHPV was more likely to be positive in women aged 51 years or above (OR=1.65,95% CI:1.28-2.14),and in women who had symptoms of bleeding after intercourse (OR=1.32,95% CI:1.17-1.50),had first sexual intercourse at the age of 18 years or below (OR=1.33,95% CI:1.07-1.64),had at least three male sexual partners (OR=2.50,95% CI:2.07-3.03),and who had been diagnosed with sexually transmitted infections (OR=1.50,95% CI:1.12-2.03).Married women (OR=0.66,95% CI:0.55-0.78) and women who frequently used condoms (OR=0.75,95% CI:0.67-0.84) had a relatively lower hrHPV prevalence.This study confirms that hrHPV infection was associated with age,marital status,symptoms of intercourse bleeding,history of sexually transmitted infections,and sex-related behaviors.Above all,this study provides a baseline database prior to obtaining vaccinations for dynamic tracking of the changes in hrHPV prevalence.展开更多

文摘Peripheral nerve injury causes severe neuroinflammation and has become a global medical challenge.Previous research has demonstrated that porcine decellularized nerve matrix hydrogel exhibits excellent biological properties and tissue specificity,highlighting its potential as a biomedical material for the repair of severe peripheral nerve injury;however,its role in modulating neuroinflammation post-peripheral nerve injury remains unknown.Here,we aimed to characterize the anti-inflammatory properties of porcine decellularized nerve matrix hydrogel and their underlying molecular mechanisms.Using peripheral nerve injury model rats treated with porcine decellularized nerve matrix hydrogel,we evaluated structural and functional recovery,macrophage phenotype alteration,specific cytokine expression,and changes in related signaling molecules in vivo.Similar parameters were evaluated in vitro using monocyte/macrophage cell lines stimulated with lipopolysaccharide and cultured on porcine decellularized nerve matrix hydrogel-coated plates in complete medium.These comprehensive analyses revealed that porcine decellularized nerve matrix hydrogel attenuated the activation of excessive inflammation at the early stage of peripheral nerve injury and increased the proportion of the M2 subtype in monocytes/macrophages.Additionally,porcine decellularized nerve matrix hydrogel negatively regulated the Toll-like receptor 4/myeloid differentiation factor 88/nuclear factor-κB axis both in vivo and in vitro.Our findings suggest that the efficacious anti-inflammatory properties of porcine decellularized nerve matrix hydrogel induce M2 macrophage polarization via suppression of the Toll-like receptor 4/myeloid differentiation factor 88/nuclear factor-κB pathway,providing new insights into the therapeutic mechanism of porcine decellularized nerve matrix hydrogel in peripheral nerve injury.

文摘Objective:To investigate the interference and expression of human glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor(hCDNF) and soluble TNF alpha(sTMFRⅠ) receptor genes in neural stem cells and to evaluate the roles of these proteins in the genetic treatment of spinal cord injury.Methods:Full-length of GDNF cDNA(538 bp) and sTMFRⅠcDNA(504 bp) were inserted into the early 1 region of adenovirus genomic DNA respectively and were immediated by the human cytomegalovirus(gene promoter/enhancer). These adenoviruses were propagated in HEK293 cells via homologous recombination for 7-10 days in vivo,then they were used to infect human neural stem ceils.The infection and expression of gene were tested under immunofluorescence.ELISA and Westem-blot after 48 hours.Results:Almost all the cultured cells showed the nestin immunofluorescence positive staining,which was the characteristics of neural stem cell.A great quantity of EGFP and KFP were observed in neural stem cells,which indicated the expression of GDNF and sTMFRⅠ.After transfection of GDNF and sTMFRⅠgenes,many neural stem cells show GFAP and tubulin immunofluorescence positive staining,which meant that most neural stem cells differentiated into neuron at that condition.Conclusions:The infective efficiency of adenovirus is greatly acceptable to neural stem cell,thus adenovirus provide a useful vector for exogenous GDNF and sTMFRⅠgenes expressing in neural stem cells,which is useful for differentiation of neural stem cell.

文摘At present,rail transit is developing rapidly in the world,and this means new and changing requirements for the training of talents in railway engineering experiments.Given the current problems of limited laboratory/field instruments for railway engineering experimentsand the safety/administrative difficulties of going to the frontline of railway lines to teach railway engineering experiemnts in the field,the Department of Railway Engineering of Central South University tried to introduce virtual reality(VR)technology to teach students experiments in the field of railway engineering.Through the virtualized experimental methods,students can carry out railway engineering experiments such as;vehicle wheel pair off-axis experiments,track geometry and position detection,etc.by immersive means.It was observed that after performing virtual simulation experiments,students appeared conversant in subsequent field experiments.Thus,VR greatly improves the teaching efficiency of railway engineering experiments.

文摘Corticotomy is a clinical procedure to accelerate orthodontic tooth movement characterized by the regional acceleratory phenomenon(RAP).Despite its therapeutic effects,the surgical risk and unclear mechanism hamper the clinical application.Numerous evidences support macrophages as the key immune cells during bone remodeling.Our study discovered that the monocyte-derived macrophages primarily exhibited a pro-inflammatory phenotype that dominated bone remodeling in corticotomy by CX3CR1CreERT2;R26GFP lineage tracing system.Fluorescence staining,flow cytometry analysis,and western blot determined the significantly enhanced expression of binding immunoglobulin protein(BiP)and emphasized the activation of sensor activating transcription factor 6(ATF6)in macrophages.Then,we verified that macrophage specific ATF6 deletion(ATF6f/f;CX3CR1CreERT2 mice)decreased the proportion of pro-inflammatory macrophages and therefore blocked the acceleration effect of corticotomy.In contrast,macrophage ATF6 overexpression exaggerated the acceleration of orthodontic tooth movement.In vitro experiments also proved that higher proportion of pro-inflammatory macrophages was positively correlated with higher expression of ATF6.At the mechanism level,RNA-seq and CUT&Tag analysis demonstrated that ATF6 modulated the macrophage-orchestrated inflammation through interacting with Tnfαpromotor and augmenting its transcription.Additionally,molecular docking simulation and dual-luciferase reporter system indicated the possible binding sites outside of the traditional endoplasmic reticulum-stress response element(ERSE).Taken together,ATF6 may aggravate orthodontic bone remodeling by promoting Tnfαtranscription in macrophages,suggesting that ATF6 may represent a promising therapeutic target for non-invasive accelerated orthodontics.
文摘The prevalence of Class Ⅲ malocclusion varies among different countries and regions. The populations from Southeast Asian countries (Chinese and Malaysian) showed the highest prevalence rate of 15.8%, which can seriously affect oral function, facial appearance, and mental health. As anterior crossbite tends to worsen with growth, early orthodontic treatment can harness growth potential to normalize maxillofacial development or reduce skeletal malformation severity, thereby reducing the difficulty and shortening the treatment cycle of later-stage treatment. This is beneficial for the physical and mental growth of children. Therefore,early orthodontic treatment for Class Ⅲ malocclusion is particularly important. Determining the optimal timing for early orthodontic treatment requires a comprehensive assessment of clinical manifestations, dental age, and skeletal age, and can lead to better results with less effort. Currently, standardized treatment guidelines for early orthodontic treatment of Class Ⅲ malocclusion are lacking. This review provides a comprehensive summary of the etiology, clinical manifestations, classification, and early orthodontic techniques for Class Ⅲ malocclusion, along with systematic discussions on selecting early treatment plans. The purpose of this expert consensus is to standardize clinical practices and improve the treatment outcomes of Class Ⅲ malocclusion through early orthodontic treatment.

文摘Background:To evaluate the feasibility and safety of a novel cable-transmitted magnetically controlled capsule endoscopy(CTMCE)system for upper gastrointestinal examination.Methods:Twenty-six participants(19 healthy volunteers and seven patients with gastrointestinal symptoms)willing to undergo upper gastrointestinal endoscopy were recruited.Each participant underwent CT-MCE followed by conventional gastroscopy within 24 h.Maneuverability and visibility of the CT-MCE capsule in the upper gastrointestinal tract,adverse events,and discomfort during the procedure were evaluated.The sensitivity and specificity of CT-MCE for diagnosing upper gastrointestinal lesions were evaluated using conventional gastroscopy findings as the standard.Results:Maneuverability was graded as“good”for all segments of the esophagus.The percentage of participants in which maneuverability was good according to gastric region was as follows:cardia(100.00%),pylorus(96.15%),angulus(92.31%),antrum(88.46%),fundus(84.62%),and body(73.08%).In the duodenal bulb and descending duodenum,it was good in only 20.83% and 16.67% of participants,respectively.Visibility was graded as“excellent”or“good”in the esophagus,Z line,and duodenal bulb in all participants;excellent/good visibility was achieved in the stomach and descending duodenum in 96.15% and 79.17% of participants,respectively.Forty-one lesions were detected overall.The sensitivity and specificity of CT-MCE in diagnosing upper gastrointestinal lesions were 85.00% and 98.15%,respectively.The CT-MCE capsule was successfully removed through the mouth in all participants.No serious adverse events or capsule retention occurred.Conclusions:CT-MCE showed good feasibility and safety for upper gastrointestinal examination.The system was effective in examining the esophagus and stomach with no risk of capsule retention.

文摘Steel rolling sludge,an oil-containing waste generated during steel production,was difficult to manage.Prolonged storage poses significant environmental and health hazards.Most steel enterprises in China use steel rolling sludge directly as a raw material for sintering.However,its adhesive nature caused poor mixing with other materials,affecting the quality of the sinter.Herein,the incorporation of steel rolling sludge incineration slag into the sintering process was investigated for experimental purposes.The results indicated that adding 1%incinerated steel rolling sludge to the sintering raw material was feasible.At this proportion,both the yield and the tumbler index of the sinter have improved,primarily due to the oxidation reaction of Fe_(3)O_(4)present in the steel rolling sludge incineration slag during the sintering process,which significantly increases the sensible heat of the sinter and enhances the sintering mineralization reaction.Notably,the addition of steel rolling sludge incineration slag reduced dioxin concentrations in the sintering flue gas.Although CO,NO_(x),and SO_(2)emission concentrations slightly increased,the existing flue gas treatment system effectively controlled their emissions.

文摘BACKGROUND Depression and anxiety are prevalent psychological challenges among patients with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis(AIS),affecting individuals across both sex and age groups.AIM To explore the network structure of depression and anxiety symptoms,with a focus on identifying differences at the symptom level between sex and age subgroups.METHODS A total of 1955 participants diagnosed with AIS aged 10-18 years were assessed using the Patient Health Questionnaire Depression Scale(PHO-9)and the Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale(GAD-7),and 765 patients exhibiting PHQ-9 or GAD-7 scores ≥ 5 were enrolled in our study. Network analysis and network comparison tests were utilized toconstruct and compare the depression-anxiety symptoms networks among sex and age subgroups.RESULTSThe results revealed GAD3 “Excessive worry” and PHQ2 “Sad mood” were the most significant central symptomsin all subgroups, while “Sad mood” had higher strength than “Excessive worry” in the lower age group. In thenetwork comparisons, the female network exhibited tighter connectivity, especially on GAD6 “Irritability” andGAD2 “Uncontrollable worry”, while only PHQ3 “Sleep” and PHQ9 “Suicidal ideation” had differences at thelocal level in the lower age group.CONCLUSIONSeveral interventions targeting excessive worry and sad mood could reduce the risk of depression and anxietysymptoms in the AIS population. Furthermore, specific anxiety symptoms in females, along with sleep disturbancesand suicidal ideation in the lower age group, should be addressed at an early stage to prevent significantdisruptions in mental health trajectories.

文摘Aqueous zinc ion batteries(AZIBs)have excellent development prospects due to their high theoretical capacity and low cost.Nevertheless,the commercial separator represented by glass fiber(GF)in AZIBs usually exhibits uneven porosity,poor zincophilicity,and insufficient functional groups,resulting in the emergence of the zinc anode dendrites and side reactions.Designing a separator with specific interfacial ion transport behavior is essential to achieve a highly stable reversible zinc anode.Herein,an anionic metal-organic framework(MOF)functionalized separator(GF-Bio-MOF-100)was presented to accelerate the desolvation process and modulate Zn^(2+)flux,thereby delivering the decreased nucleation overpotential and uniform Zn^(2+)deposition.The in-depth kinetics investigations combined with the in-situ Raman spectroscopy demonstrate that the carbonyl group within the Bio-MOF-100 is capable of capturing the H_(2)O molecules of[Zn(H_(2)O)_(6)]^(2+)via the H-bond interaction,which further accelerates the desolvation process and transport kinetics of Zn^(2+).Meanwhile,the anionic framework of the GFBio-MOF-100 separator acts as an interfacial ion channel to regulate the Zn^(2+)flux and enables dendrite-free Zn^(2+)deposition and growth.Consequently,the Zn|GF-Bio-MOF-100|Zn symmetric cell exhibited a stable Zn^(2+)plating/stripping behavior and it could cycle for 2000 h at 0.3 mA cm^(-2).Additionally,the assembled Zn|GF-Bio-MOF-100|MnO_(2)full cell delivers a capacity retention of 83.9% after 1000 cycles at 0.5 A g^(-1).This work provides new insights into the design of functionalized separators for long-life AZIBs.
文摘The widespread adoption of cloud computing has underscored the critical importance of efficient resource allocation and management, particularly in task scheduling, which involves assigning tasks to computing resources for optimized resource utilization. Several meta-heuristic algorithms have shown effectiveness in task scheduling, among which the relatively recent Willow Catkin Optimization (WCO) algorithm has demonstrated potential, albeit with apparent needs for enhanced global search capability and convergence speed. To address these limitations of WCO in cloud computing task scheduling, this paper introduces an improved version termed the Advanced Willow Catkin Optimization (AWCO) algorithm. AWCO enhances the algorithm’s performance by augmenting its global search capability through a quasi-opposition-based learning strategy and accelerating its convergence speed via sinusoidal mapping. A comprehensive evaluation utilizing the CEC2014 benchmark suite, comprising 30 test functions, demonstrates that AWCO achieves superior optimization outcomes, surpassing conventional WCO and a range of established meta-heuristics. The proposed algorithm also considers trade-offs among the cost, makespan, and load balancing objectives. Experimental results of AWCO are compared with those obtained using the other meta-heuristics, illustrating that the proposed algorithm provides superior performance in task scheduling. The method offers a robust foundation for enhancing the utilization of cloud computing resources in the domain of task scheduling within a cloud computing environment.

文摘Maize is a cornerstone of global food security,but it faces increasing challenges from corn aphids,particularly with the widespread adoption of genetically modified Bt maize.This trend suggests a growing need for sustainable pest control strategies.Methyl salicylate has been proposed as a volatile compound with the potential for managing aphids.In this study,Y-tube olfactometer and Petri dish dispersal assays showed that methyl salicylate can repel wingless and winged aphids at 0.1 to 1,000 ngμL^(-1).Moreover,at concentrations of 100 and 1,000 ngμL^(-1),it was found to attract beneficial insects such as adults and larvae of Harmonia axyridis.Exposing maize plants to methyl salicylate resulted in a prominent reduction in the number of aphids compared to the control.In addition,clip cage experiment assays showed that the nymphal development duration was increased,while the adult duration and generation time were reduced,and the reproductive duration and total number of aphid offspring in plants treated with methyl salicylate were dramatically lower than in the control.Over two years of field trials,methyl salicylate-impregnated alginate beads provided significant reductions in the populations of key aphid species,including Rhopalosiphum padi,Rhopalosiphum maidis,and Aphis gossypii.Concurrently,there were marked increases in the presence of natural predators such as H.axyridis,Propylaea japonica,Syrphus corollae,and Chrysoperla sinica.These compelling results underscore the potential of methyl salicylate as a key component in integrated pest management strategies for maize,offering a green alternative to traditional chemical control.
文摘The balanced development of the elementary education sector has been a long goal pursued by the education departments of various places, and is also an outcome expected by the people. Based on a study of the equilibrium of the spatial distribution of the capacity saturation models of all the primary schools in Changsha’s (China) five core districts, the results show that the overall geographical distribution of the primary schools in Changsha is relatively balanced, based on the natural characteristics of Changsha, such as human geography, and the moderate gradient between the central urban area and the primary schools in the suburbs and outer suburbs. Then the Theil index model was introduced, and the results of the model analysis show that the differences between elementary schools in Changsha urban area are relatively small, and the main differences originate from between districts rather than within districts, and subtle differences among regions mainly reflect in the teacher strength.
文摘背景现有的磁控胶囊胃镜存在诸多不足,如分辨率和拍摄帧率低,通过食管时的速度不可控而无法全面观察食管,且存在胶囊内镜滞留的风险.新型系线式磁控胶囊内镜可实现高帧率、高分辨率,能全面观察食管且无胶囊滞留风险.目的通过动物实验验证一种新型系线式磁控胶囊内镜对食管和胃检查的可行性和安全性.方法对3只巴马小型猪先后行磁控胶囊内镜和传统胃镜检查,记录食管和胃的检查时间,评估磁控胶囊内镜在食管和胃的各个部位(食管上、中、下段、齿状线、贲门、胃底、胃体、胃角、胃窦、幽门)的可控性和粘膜可视度.分析实验动物检查前、后的血常规和生化指标,观察实验过程中的不良反应.结果与传统胃镜相比,磁控胶囊内镜在食管检查时间上无显著差异(104.67 s±7.02 s vs 88.33 s±3.51 s,P=0.093),对胃的检查耗时较长(25.67 min±5.69 min vs 6.00 min±1.00 min,P=0.019).磁控胶囊内镜的可控性和粘膜可视度在食管、齿状线、胃体、胃窦及幽门处较好,在贲门和胃底处稍差.实验动物无明显不良反应发生.结论这一新型的系线式磁控胶囊内镜对猪食管和胃的检查具有良好的可行性和安全性.

文摘Objective:Safe and effective anticoagulation is essential for hemodialysis patients who are at high risk of bleeding.The purpose of this trial is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of two-stage regional citrate anticoagulation(RCA)combined with sequential anticoagulation and standard calcium-containing dialysate in intermittent hemodialysis(IHD)treatment.Methods:Patients at high risk of bleeding who underwent IHD from September 2019 to May 2021 were prospectively enrolled in 13 blood purification centers of nephrology departments,and were randomly divided into RCA group and saline flushing group.In the RCA group,0.04 g/mL sodium citrate was infused from the start of the dialysis line during blood draining and at the venous expansion chamber.The sodium citrate was stopped after 3 h of dialysis,which was changed to sequential dialysis without anticoagulant.The hazard ratios for coagulation were according to baseline.Results:A total of 159 patients and 208 sessions were enrolled,including RCA group(80 patients,110 sessions)and saline flushing group(79 patients,98 sessions).The incidence of severe coagulation events of extracorporeal circulation in the RCA group was significantly lower than that in the saline flushing group(3.64%vs.20.41%,P<0.001).The survival time of the filter pipeline in the RCA group was significantly longer than that in the saline flushing group((238.34±9.33)min vs.(221.73±34.10)min,P<0.001).The urea clearance index(Kt/V)in the RCA group was similar to that in the saline flushing group with no statistically significant difference(1.12±0.34 vs.1.08±0.34,P=0.41).Conclusions:Compared with saline flushing,the two-stage RCA combined with a sequential anticoagulation strategy significantly reduced extracorporeal circulation clotting events and prolonged the dialysis time without serious adverse events.

文摘BACKGROUND Autoimmune pancreatitis(AIP)has been linked with elevated immunoglobulin(Ig)G4 levels.The characteristics and outcomes of AIP based on serum markers have not been fully evaluated.AIM To compare clinical features,treatment efficacy,and outcome of AIP based on serum IgG4 levels and analyze predictors of relapse.METHODS A total of 213 patients with AIP were consecutively reviewed in our hospital from 2006 to 2021.According to the serum IgG4 level,all patients were divided into two groups,the abnormal group(n=148)with a high level of IgG4[>2×upper limit of normal(ULN)]and the normal group(n=65).The t-test or Mann-Whitney U test was used to compare continuous variables.Categorical parameters were compared by theχ^(2) test or Fisher’s exact test.Kaplan-Meier curves Zhou GZ et al.Clinical characteristics and outcome of AIP WJG https://www.wjgnet.com 5126 September 21,2023 Volume 29 Issue 35 and log-rank tests were established to assess the cumulative relapse rates.Univariate and multivariate analyses were used to investigate potential risk factors of AIP relapse.RESULTS Compared with the normal group,the abnormal group had a higher average male age(60.3±10.4 vs 56.5±12.9 years,P=0.047);higher level of serum total protein(72.5±7.9 g/L vs 67.2±7.5 g/L,P<0.001),IgG4(1420.5±1110.9 mg/dL vs 252.7±106.6 mg/dL,P<0.001),and IgE(635.6±958.1 IU/mL vs 231.7±352.5 IU/mL,P=0.002);and a lower level of serum complement C3(100.6±36.2 mg/dL vs 119.0±45.7 mg/dL,P=0.050).In addition,a lower number of cases with abnormal pancreatic duct and pancreatic atrophy(23.6%vs 37.9%,P=0.045;1.6%vs 8.6%,P=0.020,respectively)and a higher rate of relapse(17.6%vs 6.2%,P=0.030)were seen in the abnormal group.Multivariate analyses revealed that serum IgG4[(>2×ULN),hazard ratio(HR):3.583;95%confidence interval(CI):1.218–10.545;P=0.020]and IgA(>1×ULN;HR:5.908;95%CI:1.199–29.120;P=0.029)and age>55 years(HR:2.383;95%CI:1.056–5.378;P=0.036)were independent risk factors of relapse.CONCLUSION AIP patients with high IgG4 levels have clinical features including a more active immune system and higher relapse rate.Several factors,such as IgG4 and IgA,are associated with relapse.

文摘High-risk human papillomavirus (hrHPV) infection plays an important role in the development of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and cervical cancer.A total of 11 549 women were enrolled from the Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Hubei Province.Each participant accepted hrHPV testing and completed a self^administered questionnaire about basic information and potential risk factors.The univariable and multivariable logistic regression model was used to explore the associations between variants and hrHPV infection.Our results showed that hrHPV prevalence was 16.09% in Hubei Province,among which,hrHPV was more likely to be positive in women aged 51 years or above (OR=1.65,95% CI:1.28-2.14),and in women who had symptoms of bleeding after intercourse (OR=1.32,95% CI:1.17-1.50),had first sexual intercourse at the age of 18 years or below (OR=1.33,95% CI:1.07-1.64),had at least three male sexual partners (OR=2.50,95% CI:2.07-3.03),and who had been diagnosed with sexually transmitted infections (OR=1.50,95% CI:1.12-2.03).Married women (OR=0.66,95% CI:0.55-0.78) and women who frequently used condoms (OR=0.75,95% CI:0.67-0.84) had a relatively lower hrHPV prevalence.This study confirms that hrHPV infection was associated with age,marital status,symptoms of intercourse bleeding,history of sexually transmitted infections,and sex-related behaviors.Above all,this study provides a baseline database prior to obtaining vaccinations for dynamic tracking of the changes in hrHPV prevalence.
