摘要
本文首先客观地回顾了大学英语教学的现状，以及近6年来在改革课程结构、调整培养目标、完善测试体系等方面所取得的成绩。同时认真地分析了大学英语教学存在的不足以及人们达成的共识。在此基础上．探讨了大学英语教学今后发展的趋势，以及在这次教学改革中需要处理好的几个关系。
This paper first objectively reviews the current situation of college English teaching, especially the achievements in the reform program in teaching system, readjustment in the training target, improvement of testing system, etc. over the past six years. At the same time, the paper analyzes the shortcomings in the college English teaching and discusses the common understandings that people in this circle have reached. On this basis, it probes into the development trends of college English teaching in the days to come and dwells upon the necessary relations to be carefully handled in the current teaching reform program.
