摘要
在 2 0世纪 1 960— 1 970这 1 0年间 ,等值成为大多数翻译理论的中心概念。卡特福德在他的专著《翻译的语言学理论》中曾阐述了自己的观点。“翻译的转移”是该书的章节节选。本文主要围绕这篇文章对卡特福德的理论展开研究。通过分析翻译过程中存在的“层次转移”和“范畴转移” ,探讨和发掘卡特福德的翻译思想及其对语言教学的影响。
The controlling concept for most translation theory during the decade from 1960-1970 is equivalence. Catford states his opinion on it in his monograph A Linguistic Theory of Translation.'Translation Shifts' is one chapter excerpted from the book.The present paper centers on this chapter and tries to explore and probe the translation theory of Catford and its effect on language teaching.
