Bis(3-methoxy-4-hydroxy) benzaldehyde dihydroxide zinc(Ⅱ) complex has been synthesized and characterized by IR and single crystal X-ray analysis. The crystal is monoclinic, space group Cc with a=2.216 7(4) nm , b=1.054 0(2) nm , c=0.780 0(2) nm , β=106.92(3) ° , Z=4,R 1=0.039 0, w R 2 =0.091 6. The central zinc atom is octahedrally coordinated by an arrangement of six O atoms. In the crystal lattice, the molecules form a three dimension network structure through hydrogen bonds. The C—H…O intermolecular hydrogen bonds and van der waals interaction connect the title complex to form net supermolecular structure.
