摘要
针对当前PLD(ProgrammableLogicDevice)的飞速发展和嵌入式系统应用的不断扩大,该文介绍了PLD在嵌入式系统的应用以及“CPU+PLD”构架的嵌入式系统的设计模式。PLD克服了传统数字电路的不可重配置、功耗较大、调试烦琐等不足。PLD可以分担CPU的任务;增加系统的并行处理能力。支持PLD的EDA工具提供了前仿真功能,大大提高了系统整个设计的正确性。最后用两个实例说明PLD在嵌入式系统中的应用。
In re ce nt years,PLDs are being developed at an accelerating speed,and embedded syst ems have been applied to an increasing number of fields.As is well known,man y traditional digital circuits are unable to be reconfigured,power consumption of them rises largely and the embedded system based on them is difficult to test .Due to some disadvantages of the traditional design method in embedded system ,this paper puts forward a new design mode with“CPU+PLD”architecture and dis cusses the application of PLD in embedded system.PLD overcomes the numerous dra wbacks of traditional digital circuits.Moreover,PLD may do some work for CPU ,so the embedded system with PLD can parallelly run routines.EDA tools develop ed for PLDs provide pre-simulation,so people may design and implement the wh ole system much more properly.At the end of the paper,two examples are intro duced to illustrate how useful PLD is in embedded system.
