There are many revolutionary female images in “model dramas”, but most of them lack the features of female. They existed only as a male-defined emblem of politics. Their identity of class and politics is far more important than their gender. Moreover, these females mostly demonstrate the features of male. Male revolutionaries could not have exerted any influences on the images of female. The“model dramas”attempt to give audience an impression of women′s liberation, but at the same time they put women under the discourse of class and politics, the result of which is that women′s independence is inhibited.
