A Fast Bit-rate Control Scheme

摘要 比特率控制在视频编码中起着重要作用。本文在研究视频信源模型的基础上,提出了一种基于SAD域的R-D模型。由于在运动估计中SAD已计算得到,采用该模型的比特率控制方法极大地降低了计算复杂度,是一种快速的比特率控制方法。实验表明该方法可以获得与TMN8方法同样的比特率精度和图像质量。与TMN8方法相比,其性价比更优。 Bit-rate control plays a critical role in the video encoder. Based on the video source model in SAD domain,a R-D model bit-rate control scheme is proposed. Because all SADs of macro-blocks are calculated in the previous motion estimation process, the supreme merit of using this R-D model bit-rate control scheme is to reduce computational complexity as to accelerate the encoding process. Experiment results indicate that using the proposed scheme, high bit rate control accuracy and video reconstruction quality as TMN8 method can be attained, with higher performance price ratio compared with TMN8 method.
