摘要
民国时期 ,张謇筹办的南通大学办学起步很早。1920年南通大学以单科性技术大学的办学形式出现 ,1928年发展成为一所拥有农、医、纺多科性私立技术大学。该校办学规模不大 ,但师资力量强 ,教育质量堪称国内一流。当时 ,南通大学在全国享有很高的办学声誉。
Comparatively, Zhang Jian established Nantong University early in times of the Republic of China. Beginning as a technical college with only one subject in 1920, Nantong University was developed into a private university of technology having the subjects of agriculture, medicine and textile. Despite the not big scale, the university had the well-qualified faculty and the first level teaching quality; therefore, Nantong University enjoyed high reputation in the country.
