摘要
冶金史是科学技术史的重要组成部分,其研究方法与其他科学史、技术史的研究方法具有共同之处,但也有其独特性.北京科技大学冶金与材料史研究所在其30年来的研究工作中摸索出一些方法、经验和教训.总结起来主要有以下几点:1文献的收集整理方法,包括古代文献和近现代地质矿产文献资料.2调查研究的方法,包括矿冶遗址考察和传统工艺调查.3检测与实验的方法,包括样品的检测分析和实验模拟的方法.4综合研究与社会发展史结合的方法.5多学科结合的方法.
History of metallurgy is component part of history of science & Technology. Its study method generally is the same with that of history of science & Technology , but has its specific characteristics. The experience and lesson in methods for study of History of metallurgy were acquired from archaeometallurgy research during the past 30 years in Institute of Historical Metallurgy & Materials, USTB. The main methods are as follows: 1.Collection of ancient literature & geological information. 2. investigation of ancient mining, smelting & casting sites and traditional technigues.3.Analysis and Examination of ancient metals, slags, moulds and other remains of metallurgy.4.Laboratory investigation on ancient technology of metallurgy by imitating experiments.5.Comprehensive study and combine archaeometallurgy with many other fields of nature science and social science, such as metallurgy and material sciences, geology and mineralogy, physics and chemistry, archaeology and history, etc..
