Today, tea is the world most consumed beverage after water. Packaged, ready-to-drink tea, which is a big product in Asia, is now growing rapidly in the rest of the world. It is based on a tea extract from the tea-leaves which are separated by sedimentation, filtering or separation. Tea extraction is a laborious process during which the temperature has to remain constant at all times. In the Sino-pack 2004 in Gunagzhou, Tetra pak present the advanced tea extract machinery.
