摘要
科本提出了与法国大革命史正统学派不同的修正史观。他认为:大革命前封建主义在法国已 不复存在;资产阶级并非是通常所认为的处于上升阶段的工商业资产阶级,而是一个没落的阶级;大革命并 不是法国从封建主义向资本主义的转折点。科本修正的大革命史观既有学术自身的因素,也有学术环境变迁 因素的影响。既有他自身矛盾之处,也有方法论的启示作用。
Cobban offers different opinions on revisionist interpretation of the French Revolution from orthodox school. In his opinion, Feudalism had already been abolished before the French Revolution, and the capitalist class was not an industrial and commercial one that was generally considered in ascending stage, but a declining one. He also claimed the revolution was not the milestone from feudalism to capitalism. The product of Cobban's opinion has its academic factor as well as the affect of the vicissitude of academia. What' s more, it has its own antinomy, and also some revelation of methodology.
