以湛江市林业良种场及澳大利亚昆士兰林研所提供的杂种松在雷州半岛 2个试验点造林 ,7~ 1 5年生结果表明 ,优良杂交组合以本种加勒比松优良家系 (吴 2 ,河 6 ,南 2 )为母本与湿地松优良家系或与巴哈马加勒比松为父本的杂种松 ,其生长可比对照 (本种加勒比松 )蓄积生长量大 1 .2倍~ 1 .7倍。澳大利亚昆士兰州的PEE×PCH等杂种松 7年生蓄积量生长比对照 (本种加勒比松 )大 2 .9倍~ 4 .2倍。杂种松具有生长快、干形通直 ,抗风力及抗病虫害能力较强等优点 ,且耐贫瘠立地。杂种松木材比重与纤维长介于两个亲本之间 ,8~ 9年生由幼龄材过渡到成熟材。较优良的杂种松可在雷州半岛及海南东部沿海地区推广。
Two experimental locations of hybrid pine were established at Leizhou peninsula. 7~15 year results showed that the best cross combination were PCC(W2,H6, N2) with PCB or superior families of PEE. The volumes of these hybrid pines were 1.2~1.7 times greater than the control (PCC). The volumes of 7~year PEE×(PEE×PCH)A & PEE×PCH from Queensland, Australia were 295 % to 424% greater than the control(PCC). These new hybrids with straight stems are fast growing, wind and pest resistant, and also grow well on the poor soil. Wood densitometry and fibre length measurement showed that the wood density and fibre length of hybrid pine lay between those of PCC×PEE, The change between juvenile and mature wood is about 8 to 9 year old. These superior hybrid pines (PCC×PCB or PEE) could be used in the tropical coastal region of Leizhou peninsula and eastern coastal region of Hainan for fast growing pulp plantations.
