摘要
苏颂作为北宋的一位政治家、科学家,在其从政的初期,由于受命参加校正医书的工作,接触到医学,并在封建道德的影响下,抱定拯救百姓免于疾疫之苦的决心,从事了一个阶段的医药事业的工作,著成了《图经本草》,因此,苏颂堪称一位医学家。他的医学思想与方法具有该通、实用、创新、求实和辩证的特点,对后世本草学的发展具有重大的启迪作用。
As a politician and scientist of the Northern Song Dynasty, Su Song was authorized by an imperial decree to participate in the collation of ancient medical classics at the early stage of his political career. Under the influence of feudal morality, he decided to save people from being afflicted by diseases and devoting a period of his life to the medical cause, eventually comptled the Tu Jing Ben Cao (Illustrated Herbology). Through analysing this monograph, the author concludes that Su Song may be rated as a medical scholar. His medical thinking and methodology, which are practical, initiative, realistic and dialectic, exerted a profound impact on the development of the study of herbology in later ages.
