摘要
文本的不确定性和空白通常是用来表达或增强作品的主题意义和审美效果的。文学译者在翻译处理这些"未定点"时就不能不顾及它们潜在的审美价值以及对文学翻译的影响与操纵。而采用化隐为显的办法往往会使文本的文体价值、诗学功能和审美效果丧失殆尽。对读者而言,实际上是被剥夺了原本可以通过自己的想像和反思就能获得的审美愉悦。
The blanks and indeterminacy in literary texts are used to reveal or enhance the thematic meaning and aesthetic effects of a literary text. A translator should take these potential aesthetic values as well as their impacts on literary translation into consideration. The stylistic value, poetic functions and aesthetic effects in the text will be totally impaired if one tries his hand at transferring the implicit into the explicit. A reader, thus, has been striped of the aesthetic pleasure brought on by his own reflection and imagination.
