摘要
模糊性是人类语言的共同现象,英语无论是其中的概念还是意义与生俱来就存在着模糊现象。模糊现象包含着积极的修辞效果,在日常生活与社会交际中,人们运用趋利避害的原则有意识地使用模糊语言,使之更好地为交际服务。
Vagueness is a natural characteristic of language. It exists in concept and meaning originally.In English,vagueness has its positive rhetorical effects.In our daily life and social communication, we should use it appropriately for a certain purpose to avoid the harm to the language.
