In this paper, a new species of the genus Coenosia Meigen is described and figured. The type specimens are preserved in Benxi Municipal Health Station, Liaoning. Coenosia subflavicornis, sp. nov.It resembles the east Siberian species Coenosia luteipes Ringd., 1930 in male termina-lia, but differs from the latter in following characters: antennae yellow; fore tibia with no anterodorsal bristle; hind tibia with 1 anterodorsal bristle which slightly longer than the posterodorsal bristle; mid femur with a row of long bristles on the posteroventral surface; surstylus triangular in male and rather broad when seen in profile.Body length 5mm.Female--Unknown.Type-locality: Benxi, Liaoning ((?), 13. VII. 1977); Tonghua, Jilin (one male, 23. VI. 1973. Coll. W. C. Hsue).
