A Fast Face Localization Algorithm based on Gradient Projection

摘要 人脸识别是近年来热门而且发展很迅速的一个研究课题。人脸定位作为人脸识别的第一步 ,更加显得重要。本文比较了现有的各种投影定位方法 ,给出了各方法的实验结果。在此基础上 ,提出了一种新的定位方法 ,并用于人脸左右边界的定位和鼻子的定位。实验结果表明 ,这种方法不仅速度非常快 ,而且定位准确率要远远高于现有方法。 Face Recognition (FR) is a hot problem and developed rapidly in recent years, so Face Localization is very important as the first step of FR. The existing methods are compared and the results of every method are given. Then a new localization algorithm is brought forward and is used in the localization of left and right boundaries of facial regions and nose. The results showed that fast computation speed and higher accuracy can be obtained by using this method than using any other Projection method.
