摘要
医疗废物中存在传染性病菌、病毒、化学污染物及放射性等有害物质,具有极大的危险性,在国外被视为“顶级危险”和“致命杀手”。根据医疗废物分类的特点,系统阐述了各类医疗废物对健康的影响与危害,以及建立医疗废物管理的国际标准与有关法规的基本原则。
Health-care waste is suspected to contain pathogens (bacteria,viruses,parasites,or fungi)in sufficient concentration or quantity to cause disease in susceptible hosts,about 10%～25% of health-care waste is regarded as hazardous and may create a variety of health risks.According to classification of health-care waste,this paper addresses in more detail the potential hazards of exposure to hazardous(or risk)health-care waste,and the principles that govern either public health or safe management of hazardous waste.
