摘要
文章将对外贸易放在整个上海近代经济史上加以考察,认为对外贸易与一地经济的发展是相互影响,相互促进的。上海对外贸易的发展首先带来了新式商业的崛起及金融、交通运输等行业的繁荣,机制工业品的涌入刺激了进口替代工业的出现,进而发展为初具规模的工业体系,共同构成了上海经济早期现代化的重要内容。
This paper expounds the influences of foreign trade on Shanghai's early stage economic modernization. Foreign trade and regional economic development are complementary. The growth of foreign trade in Shanghai above all gave rise to the emergence of modern commerce and the prosperity of finance and transportation. The imported manufactured goods resulted in the establishment of substitute industries and gradually brought an industry system of considerable size into being, which contributed tremendously to the early stage modernization of Shanghai economy.
