摘要
探讨了汽车牌照识别系统的关键技术并介绍了一种实现该系统的简单方法:利用车牌字符与背景的灰度跳变实现车牌的快速提取,利用投影法进行字符分割,利用字符的层次轮廓特征分类别地识别车牌字符。
The License Plate Recognition System (LPR) is introduced first, then focused is on the key techniques of this system and a easy method to realize this system . The gray levels between the license character and the background are used to segment the license plate from the original gray image. A method of projection is used to segment the characters,and the hierarchical contour features of the characters is used to recognize the characters systematically.
